Den amerikanska antitrusträtten syftar till att säkerställa konsumenternas välfärd, vilket anses bäst uppfyllt genom fri konkurrens. Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur synen på franchiseavtal är inom dessa två rättsystem och sevilka effekter som ett franchiseavtal kan ha på konkurrensen. Franchising kännetecknas av att en franchisegivare ger franchise till en franchisetagare, som måste leva upp till en viss standard och tillämpa vissa metoder vid försäljning av de produkter som tillhandahålls avfranchisegivaren.

Syftet med studien är att presentera olika begrepp med definitioner för odefinierade rum i bebyggd miljö. Rum som blivit över eller bortglömda i stadsplanering, övergivna och förfallna områden eller rum som saknar en känsla av identitet. Olika författare med olika bakgrund presenterar olika begrepp och definitioner för dessa rum. Genom litteraturstudier undersöks nio relevanta begrepp från publicerad litteratur. De undersöks utifrån frågor som behandlar författarens ursprung, verkets publiceringsår, begreppets definition, exempel som ges på odefinierade rum, hur rummen uppkommit samt hur de enligt författaren bör behandlas i planering.

Uppsatsen undersöker hur samhällskunskapsböckers innehåll, med fokus på förmedlandet av ekonomiska förhållanden, har förändrats över tid.Läroplanerna GY70 och Lpf94 har granskats, tillsammans med respektive läroplaners kursplaner för ämnet samhällskunskap för gymnasiestudier. Teorier om anledningarna till att det finns läroplaner och läromedel, samt teorier om hur man kan arbeta med dem finns även presenterade.Undersökningen är gjord utifrån tre läromedel i samhällskunskap, vilka har närlästs och i samband med närläsningen dokumenterats i ett analysschema utifrån vilket resultatet är presenterat. Läromedlen är från år 1966, 1990 och 2007.Innehållsmässigt följer läromedlen till övervägande del vad som eftersöks från styrdokumentens håll, även om det finns skillnader i hur och i vilken utsträckning information lyfts fram i de olika läromedlen. Sammanfattningsvis kan sägas att ekonomiavsnitten i läromedlen har blivit mindre i omfång samt att bakgrundsinformationen till varför våra ekonomiska system fungerar som de gör, successivt uteslutits ur läromedlen. .

As a starting point the society is more enlightened and has gained a greater awareness about the gender power structures and its different forms. Present research shows the continuous development into other shapes and comes into different expressions that might be unrecognised. In order to gain knowledge about the present structure of the gender power structure system, the aim of this study was to investigate framing of female and male politicians in media. The main question asked was: ?are there framing differences in the portraits of the male and female politicians?? In order to achieve results articles in the biggest Swedish daily newspaper were examined.

This paper presents an analysis of history textbooks used in schools in Sweden and Norway. The intention of the research was to study how the history textbooks describe communism and communistic dictatorship mainly during the cold war. The result of this study is that there were no big differences between Swedish and Norwegian history textbooks, but there are, however, some differences in how communism was described between the authors and also over time. Mostly, the books that were written in the post cold war period were somewhat more critical to communism in the eastern Europe (even thought they mainly handled with Stalin´s communism. And they also set quotationmark between Stalin´s communism and the nazi terror during World War two..

The vizualisation and creating of places is an essential part of physical planning. The notion of places as placeless, is likewise of importance for the creating of places. Some tendencies concerning architecture like modernism, as well as constructions whome don´t fit in their landscape, have contributed to the benaming and experience of places as placeless. Phenomenon as globalization and post-industrialism have in some cases conduced to the withering of the sense of place. With starting-point in litteraturestudies, observations of places and interviews, this is a lucubration concerning the means of placelessness in physical planning.

I uppsatsen analyseras representationer av den groteska kvinnliga kroppen i feministisk konst. Alltfler konstnärer väljer att i sin konst utforska gränslanden i uttryck, så som det karnevalistiska, hysteriska och motbjudande. Utifrån en fallstudie som fokuserar på tre nutida konstnärer vilka arbetar med det groteska uttrycket vid framställningar av kvinnliga kroppar studeras intentionerna bakom deras verk. Kropparnas emancipatoriska potential problematiseras därefter utifrån postkoloniala teorier, feministisk konstvetenskap och queerteori. Att använda representationer av en kropp som definieras som kvinnlig är inte ett ofarligt projekt.

The purpose of this study is to examine escort-business with a focus on sales of BDSM-services (Bondage and Discipline, Dominance and Submission, Sadism and Masochism). The study is based on qualitative interviews with three informants providing BDSM-services, as well as a survey with 96 men who requested domination of escorts (the survey was carried out by an escort in the 1980s). The analysis of this material resulted in the identification of three themes on which the study centers: The personal experiences of the three escorts, the interaction between the escorts and the clients, and the changes over time when it comes to the performance of BDSM-services. The study has a gender perspective with a focus on feminism and queer-theory. The important conclusions are that there are several differences between prostitution having a focus on BDSM-services and other prostitution.

The purpose of this thesis is to explain why states obtain nuclear weapons and the role variousactors and interests play in the making of states´ nuclear policies. The main questions are asfollows: (1) What big theories exist concerning states obtaining nuclear weapon and nucleararmament in International Relations and what relevance do they have of the post cold-war period?,(2) What is the meaning of the perspective of the Military-Industrial Complex (MIC)?, and (3)Arethere empirical studies which supports the existence of a MIC in the United States?The focus lies on actors and driving forces that are internal to states and it is also important toinvestigate if the theories have relevance for the post 9/11-era. The study uses the method ofqualitative literature-study with some quantitative segments. It is claimed that states might beinterested in justifying their behaviour in a morally appealing way and that real reasons may behidden.

Ytterligare syfte med arbetet är att synliggöra hur könsspecifika förväntningar på flickor och pojkar kan påverka dem i deras yrkesval. Den empiriska undersökningen består av sex intervjuer och resultatet visar att eleverna har tankar och kunskaper om vad man gör och ska kunna i olika yrken. AbstractThis thesis discusses and analyses a 19th century female author's vanishing from history. The study investigates social relationships as figured and described in the epistolary form, based on letters between the author herself and different members of her family. It also tries to identify the author's position and situation in her time and society according to important themes and motifs in her novels. The main purpose is not to reconstruct history, but rather to show the many complex histories that can also be described, apart from the simplified and generalized one. Given the possibility that the world, as we know it, is a consequence of human interaction and verbal communication our understanding of the world can be seen as contingent rather than essentially given. Conceptions such as "entrepreneur", "woman" and "man" can then be understood as socially constructed subjects. Departing from poststructural and social constructionist perspectives I will examine medial representation of women and men as entrepreneurs. My main purpose is to examine how the entrepreneur is constructed as a discursive subject in the journal Eget Företag. Drawing upon Ernesto Laclau´s and Chantal Mouffe´s Discourse Theory and the poststructuralist feminist theoretical perspective of Judith Butler I will discuss both the construction of the entrepreneur as well as the more explicit question; is gender significant for the construction of the entrepreneur and entrepreneurship in Eget Företag? In this study I come to the conclusion that the discourse of entrepreneurship, as well as the journalistic discourse, draws upon discourses of femininity and masculinity but also upon discourses of ethnicity.
