The aim of this thesis is to investigate which the main determinants of capital structure in Swedish listed firms are and to identify which incentives lies behind managers choice of capital structure determinants. Further, the study investigates whether the Post Keynesian theory and theories which incorporate behavioral aspects can be used to explain the capital structure decisions or if the traditional Neoclassical theory give an better explanation. We have used a qualitative method to analyze the determinants of capital structure and the managers incentives behind capital structure decision. We conducted a survey which was sent to 83 Chief Financial Managers and financial executives in Swedish firms listed on Mid Cap or Large Cap. The questionnaire was on-line which enabled for the respondents to quickly and convenient respond.

Ten years ago the public computers with Internet access were introduced in the public libraries. The purpose of the public computers was to give the possibility of searching information. Along with the Internet came also communication media like chat and e-mail. This type of communication was a new function for the libraries and the reactions among the librarians were mixed. It has been a source of big frustration and attempts to block it has not succeeded.

Lack of political interest and will to deal with human rights violations carried out under the civil- military dictatorship, has characterized the transition and post-transition in Uruguay. The systematic use of torture, arbitrary imprisonments and forced disappearances in the relatively small country created a culture of fear that has been present through out the post-transition phase. Human rights groups have been central actors in the fight for truth and justice and against impunity. This study analyzes how these groups multiple democracy-building functions have contributed to democratic development. It also analyses how the democracy-building functions have been constrained by the political context.

The purpose of this study was to examine earnings quality and earnings management in U.S. ex-post failed firms. A quantitative study was made, using the Modified Jones Model, to identify abnormal accruals up to six years before bankruptcy. 9 003 continuing firms and 187 bankrupt firms, active sometime between 1990 and 2010, were examined. Bakgrund: Varje år drabbas runt 30 000 personer av stroke i Sverige. Många av de strokedrabbade drabbas av en hjärntrötthet eller av ett psykiskt lidande och det kan i vissa fall leda till en depression. Diagnostiseringen av depression kan vara svår att ställa framförallt när den strokedrabbade har funktionsnedsättningar. Livssituationen förändras efter en stroke och för många blir det en psykisk påfrestning.Syfte: Syftet var att belysa patienters upplevelser av psykisk påfrestning i vardagen efter strokeMetod: En litteraturstudie baserad på totalt 10 kvalitativa artiklar. Artiklarna kvalitetsgranskades med hjälp av en granskningsmall.

Vid palliativ vård bör, enligt WHO, organiserat stöd erbjudas närstående såväl under patientens sjukdomstid som efter dödsfallet. Syftet med föreliggande arbete var att kvantitativt mäta effekterna av deltagande alternativt icke deltagande i efterlevandegrupp. Efterlevande (n=84) till patienter som vårdats hemma med hjälp av en palliativ enhet fick svara på enkätfrågor av likert-typ som mäter sorg, nedstämdhet och depression. Mätningarna skedde vid två tillfällen, före start av efterlevandegrupp och 10 veckor senare. Svar lämnades av 75 personer vid första mättillfället och 61 vid det andra.

Throughout its wide distribution in the northern hemisphere, the golden eagle occurs in a diverse range of environments, e.g., mountainous, forest and open areas. The literature on juvenile golden eagles is limited, and this study provides further knowledge on habitat use and ranging behaviour during the post-fledging period in boreal Sweden. A total of 14 golden eagle juveniles were tagged with GPS transmitters during 2010 and 2011, and nine could be followed during the entire post-fledging period from fledging until migration. The juveniles fledged at the end of July and beginning of August and initiated migration during October and beginning of November. The length of the post-fledging period, until migration started, ranged from 49 to 97 days. During this period, the juveniles? distance from their natal nest and their GPS height increased with time as their flying abilities developed.

Background: Sleep-disturbances in persons with Alzheimer´s disease are prevalent. They are characterized as increased frequency and duration of awakenings, decreased slow-wave sleep, REM-sleep and increase of day-time napping. Depression and lower quality of life are associated with sleep-disturbances. Altogether a significant source of stress for caregivers and an important factor in institutionalization. Non-pharmacological treatment alternatives are rare.Method: Single-case A-B-C design, with non-concurrent multiple baselines, a pilotstudy.Aim: To explore if an educational program on sleep, sleep disturbances and behavioural change directed towards caregivers improved sleep, depression and quality of life in persons with Alzheimer´s disease living at home.

I Sverige genomgår årligen 25-30 patienterhjärttransplantation. Denna litteraturstudie belyser patienters upplevelser efter hjärttransplantation. Studien visade att många upplevde negativa känslor såsom rädslaoch skuld. Även kontrollbrist upplevdes av dem som genomgått en hjärttransplantation och det kunde leda till depression. Fler kvinnor än män drabbades av depression och oro.

Bakgrund: Den psykiska ohälsan har under de senaste åren blivit ett alltmer växande folkhälsoproblem. De som löper störst risk att drabbas av psykisk ohälsa är kvinnor, yngre, utlandsfödda samt ekonomiskt utsatta i kombination med ett svagt socialt kapital. I arbetslivet har även den psykiska ohälsan kommit att bli allt mer vanligare de senaste decennierna. Konsekvenserna av att arbeta oregelbundna arbetstider kan leda till depression, ängslan, sömnproblem, stress och problem med kost och motion. Syfte: Att undersöka den psykiska hälsan bland anställda som arbetar med oregelbundna arbetstider samt att hitta riskfaktorer som påverkar den psykiska hälsan negativt. Metod: Artikelsökningen gjordes i databaserna PubMed Central och PsycInfo. Med hjälp av ett bedömningsprotokoll gjordes kvalitetsgranskning av artiklarna. Resultat: Även fast depression och ängslan förekom bland anställda som arbetar med oregelbundna arbetstider var det mer vanligt förekommande att sömn var den största faktorn till psykisk ohälsa.

Background: The numbers of crime towards women are increasing in our society. It is the medical caregiver?s responsibility to take care of these women when they are seeking help post assault. The caregiver?s task is to provide good care and performe a forensic evidence examination.

This thesis intends to examine the role of the city, Dublin, in the Irish economic growth during the 1990s. It is a case study where Dublin is compared with current theories on post modern cities as growth machines and increasingly prominent actors in the global context. The study has an interdisciplinary approach but focuses on political science issues such as power distribution, global-local governance and local political organisation. It is a theory driven study that also intends to add aspects to the understanding of the cities of our time. I argue that Dublin has faced a lot of changes during the last decades in accordance with the post modern city.

Syftet med denna systematiska litteraturstudie var att beskriva de psykosociala och existentiella behov som kan uppstå hos kvinnor med bröstcancer samt i hur stor utsträckning bröstcancerpatienter upplever att dessa behov tillgodoses i vården. Dessutom var syftet att få en uppfattning om betydelsen av komplementär och alternativ medicin för bröstcancerdrabbade kvinnor. De vetenskapliga artiklar (n=25) som ingick i studien söktes datoriserat samt manuellt och en kvalitetsgranskning gjordes av litteraturen utifrån olika bedömningsformulär. Resultaten visar att de behov som uppstod hos kvinnorna med bröstcancer var behov av stöd, behov av information samt behov av kontinuitet i sjukvården. Majoriteten av kvinnorna upplevde att det psykosociala och existentiella stödet i sjukvården samt den information de fick hade stora brister.

Bakgrund: Cancer är något som berör många människor. Det räknas med att var tredje svensk under sin livstid kommer att drabbas av en cancersjukdom. Cancer är vanligast bland äldre människor, omkring två tredjedelar är över 65 år när diagnosen ställs. Syfte: syftet med studien var att beskriva hur cancer påverkar livskvaliteten hos människor. Me-tod: Studien är en litteraturstudie som baseras på åtta vetenskapliga artiklar med kvalitativt och delvis kvantitativt innehåll.

The purpose of this paper is to study the connection between Taoism and analytical psychology. This is done by descriptive text analysis of post-jungian literature. Often mentioned when searching for the inspirations and influences on analytical psychology we find references to alchemy, Buddhism, Gnosticism, Hinduism and the hermetic tradition. More seldom do we meet any references to Taoism. My aim is to investigate what gravity do the post-jungians attach to the taoism influence on C.G.
