The need for second language learning is increasing in today?s multicultural and globalized society, and adult studies are becoming more common. Teachers must encourage all students, and all schools need to promote equality. Motivation is one of the most important factors for positive learning and progress, and it can be helpful for second language teachers to know more about this subject. The aim of this study was to examine which motivational factors that influence adult immigrants to learn Swedish through SFI education in Sweden.

Kostnaderna för den arbetsrelaterade ohälsan i form av sjukskrivningar och produktionsbortfall är stora. De arbetsorganisatoriska faktorer som har störst betydelse för ohälsan är arbetsmiljön och ledarskapet. Ledningen är den faktor som i sin tur har möjlighet till påverkan på arbetsmiljöns utformning. Detta betyder att ledaren är den faktor som har störst möjlighet att påverka medarbetarens hälsa. Enligt vissa teorier kan ledarskapsbeteendet direkt kopplas till medarbetarnas hälsa.

Vätternrundan is an annual sporting event that takes place in the Swedish town Motala since 1966. It is one of the world largest recreational bicycle rides and attracts over 20 000 participants each year. This study focuses on event effects and how an event can be of value within the principles of place marketing. Within this study five representatives were interviewed with semi-structured interviews.The results show that the representatives describe Vätternrundan as a positive event which mostly generates positive effects for the city itself and for the people living and working there. The effects consist of the events ability to create awareness of the place, the possibility to extend the tourism season and several social effects like solidarity and interaction.The result also shows that Vätternrundan is a well-known brand and because of this it can be used as an advantage in place marketing.

Studiens ämne växte fram ur vårt intresse för sociala medier som en ny kanal med påverkan på relationen mellan organisationer och deras intressenter. Undersökningen syftar till att beskriva hur utvalda kommuner i Sverige uppfattar sitt arbete i sociala medier. Utifrån detta syfte ställde vi oss två frågor: Hur beskriver de utvalda kommunerna sitt strategiska arbete i sociala medier?Hur beskriver de utvalda kommunerna att de arbetar i sociala medier för att bemöta feedback och frågor från sina intressenter? Frågeställningarna besvarades med hjälp av kvalitativa samtalsintervjuer. Kommunerna som vi strategiskt valde ut är Järfälla, Karlstad, Katrineholm och Leksand och vi utförde samtalsintervjuer per telefon med den ansvariga för sociala medier på respektive kommun. Studiens resultat visade att de flesta av kommunerna inte har någon uttalad strategi eller schemalagd tid för sitt arbete med sociala medier.

As the world´s population increases and people's living conditions are improving, larger areas are needed for houses as well as food production. This means that new areas are exploited and that people, livestock, blood sucking insects and wild animals are forced to live close together. In combination with the global warming, leading to extreme weather such as floods and storms, this allows both new and old pathogens to emerge. The number of "emerging infectious diseases", EIDs, has increased in recent years and many of them have their origin in poor, tropical countries. Moçambique is therefore considered to be a high risk area for EIDs. Schmallenberg virus, SBV, was discovered in 2011 as an "emerging infectious disease" in dairy cows in Germany.

Vi har i denna uppsats gjort en fallstudie kring hur rutiner och tillvägagångssätt för medarbe-tarsamtal ser ut på ett företag inom företagshälsovården, Alviva. Bakgrunden till att vi genom-fört studien är, förutom ett intresse hos oss att lära oss mer om området, att det på företaget framkommit att en tredjedel av medarbetarna inte upplever att medarbetarsamtalen fungerar optimalt.Vi definierar medarbetarsamtal som ett systematiskt samtal mellan medarbetare och chef som syftar till planering och ett ömsesidigt utbyte av information. Medarbetarsamtalet bör också innehålla en utvecklingsplan för medarbetaren och är ett sätt att se hur medarbetaren presta-tion i relation till företagets övergripande mål.Syftet med vår uppsats var att undersöka hur tillvägagångssättet ser ut och hur det av medar-betarna upplevs fungera samt att se om det finns någon koppling mellan medarbetarsamtalen och arbetsmotivation. Vidare ville vi även undersöka vilka betydelsefulla faktorer medarbe-tarna ser i medarbetarsamtalen och vilka förbättringsförslag de önskar. För att ta oss an upp-giften har vi dels granskat dokument samt genomfört ett flertal intervjuer med medarbetare på företaget.

Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama try to create a form of advertising on their official websites through the publication of these videos. Internets special characteristics are highly visible and realized in the videos on YouTube. Users are very active which take expressions in creative creations of videos. On YouTube there also exists negative information about Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att studera möjlig utveckling av kommunerna och tätorterna i Jönköpings, Kalmar och Östergötlands län fram till 2020, med utblickar mot framtiden. Bakgrunden till uppsatsen är de diskussioner som förs i Sverige kring nya regionkommuner, där sammanslagningar av befintliga län ska ske. I denna process är Östra Götland ett förslag för de tre länen och därför är det av intresse att studera hur dessa kan utvecklas i framtiden.För denna analys har tidsgeografiska utgångspunkter kombinerats med Christallers centralortsteori för att skapa ett tredimensionellt tillgänglighetslandskap. Detta har sedan legat som en viktig förklaringsgrund för hur tätorter utvecklas. Resultatet av uppsatsen visar att de som lyckats locka till sig nya invånare kan delas upp i huvudsak i tre grupper; pendelorter med goda kommunikationer till andra orter, förorter med kort avstånd till regioncentra eller residensstäder (undantaget Östergötland där både Linköping och Norrköping är tillväxtorter).

The aim of this study was to provide an understanding of the situation of an often forgotten group in foster care, the carers? own children. Our main focus was to explore this group?s experience of foster care, their experience of participating in caring for the foster children and their possible need of support and help. Our chosen method was qualitative interviews with six adult children of foster carers, two men and four women.

Food-poisoning is a major health problem and an estimated half a million Swedes are food-poisoned annually, with acute gastroenteritis as a consequence. One of the major causes of contaminated foods is related to food- and waterborne viruses. To be able to trace back the source of contaminant, the method of detecting viruses must be specific and sensitive. No standardized method for detecting foods for sapovirus exists today. The aim of the work described in this bachelor thesis is to implement and opti-mize a real-time RT-PCR method for the detection of all genogroups of human sapovirus in foods.

Authorities, municipalities and county councils have great opportunities to pave the way to a sustainable society. In the public sector, the tax revenue is used and therefore it is important that both employees and societal stakeholders feel that they participate in the sector?s decisions and fields of application. Municipalities and county councils are primarily service organisations. The employees? commitment is necessary to be able to reach set goals, to develop procedures and policies that support the overall political goals, in other words, to be successful in the environmental work.

This essay examines resident experiences and notions of the Gotland countryside and their ideas about the future. In particular the countryside is studied as both space and place. In space and place people interacting. People are therefore important components in the study of the landscape. One can say that the landscape and the interaction between people affect resident experiences and notions of the countryside, as well as people certainly affect the landscape.

Vår kandidatuppsats handlar om användning och utveckling av Kustpilens biljettautomat. Vi har, genom etnografiska metoder, studerat hur människor använder sig av biljettautomaten vid köp av en tågbiljett. För att generera designidéer och utveckla vårt designförslag har vi utgått från dessa studier. Vi har sett hur viktigt det är för användarna att få feedback på utförda handlingar. Biljettautomatens design är viktig för att uppmana kunderna till rätt användning..
