Hälsa och motion är något som allt fler blivit medvetna om. Motionens hälsobetydelse är idag även vetenskapligt belagd, regelbunden fysisk aktivitet förbättrar hälsan och leder till bättre välbefinnande. Även företagen har uppmärksammat detta då de bland annat har introducerat en s.k. träningssubvention.En konkurrensanalys av hälsoföretag (organisationer, föreningar) i Gävleområdet anser vi vara ett ämne som ligger i tiden. Ämnet känns även aktuellt eftersom Högskolan i Gävle satsar på hälsoprofilen ?Hälsofrämjande arbetsliv?, vilken är en av forskningsprofilerna som Högskolan i Gävle ska satsa på att utveckla inom tre till fem år.

The main focus of this study is to explore Swedish soldiers? experiences of the transition back to everyday life after international service missions. This includes the help and support that they have received and also what barriers to care they have experienced during the transition back to everyday life. The theoretical perspectives of this study are social identity and stigma theory. This study was performed using a qualitative method and includes six individual interviews with active duty officers within the Swedish armed forces.

Försvarsmakten har idag en oönskad äldre ålderstruktur som inte är avpassad förorganisationens uppgifter och struktur i framtiden. Samtidigt är man är tvungen att säga uppyngre officerare för att kortsiktigt kunna klara de ekonomiska målen. Detta ärkontraproduktivt vilket gör att Försvarsmakten i framtiden vill skapa ett nyttpersonalförsörjningssystem. För att kunna genomföra detta måste ett antal av dagensofficerare yrkesväxla för att göra plats för det nya systemet. Uppsatsens syfte är att få insikteri vilka förutsättningar det finns för dagens officerare att yrkesväxla till ett civilt arbete.Uppsatsen svarar på vad som är officerskompetens och hur officerskompetensen kanbeskrivas med andra ord.

The purpose of this master?s thesis is to investigate children?s access to specific children?s activities at Swedish public libraries 2005. The thesis is based on literature studies and qualitative interviews with children?s librarians, library directors and local politicians at two demographically different libraries in Gothenburg.The sub questions are: What measures exist to promote children?s access to public libraries and children?s activities when it comes to: law and other political statements: different efforts on the state level and different efforts on the municipal level in the direct activity with children at public libraries? What driving forces and needs justify activities for children at public libraries? How will the responsible persons judge that the efforts are sufficient? The result of the study shows that children?s access to library activity has increased in the last couple of years due to reorganization, economic savings with closing down of library affiliates and because libraries have given priority to other things, like IT and new media. Children?s librarians have got new assignments and less time for children?s activity.The conclusion of our investigation is that children?s librarians are ambitious in their work, but unfortunately don?t give children?s library activity adequate resources.

Sverige har en lång tradition i att utbilda soldater och förband för försvar av det egna landet. Dettahar varit i fokus för de svenska förbanden under kalla kriget. Idag ställs svenska förband inför nyauppgifter och i andra miljöer än de traditionella, men framförallt möter de svenska förbanden enmotståndare som har andra drivkrafter, medel och metoder än vad motståndaren hade under detkalla kriget.Uppsatsen syfte är att diskutera huruvida den svenska soldat- och förbandsutbildningen äranpassad för denna motståndare. D.v.s. erhåller de svenska förbanden en relevant utbildning?Denna studie genomförs som en fallstudie av FS 15.

The ability for companies to anticipate the future and stay in the forefront of the competition is essential for successful business. The tool of Environmental Scanning is basics in the process of developing prescriptive strategies as well as vital in evolving emergent strategies. The complexity lies in gathering relevant information and transforming the information into adequate data, which can be utilised by management to optimise strategies. The purpose of this study is to scrutinise how successfully operating Swedish manufacturing companies, listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange?s ?Large Cap?-list, organise their Environmental Scanning actions and how this affects the development of strategies. Prior research on the subject has been used as foundation to presenting relevant theories.

Vi har uppmärksammat att användandet av butiksklassificeringar i form av flaggskepps- och konceptbutiker har ökat de senaste åren. Fler och fler svenska varumärkesleverantörer kommunicerar nu aktivt ut vilken av deras butiker som är flaggskepps- respektive konceptbutiken. Dessutom har vi uppmärksammat till att den klusterbildning som delat upp Stockholm blir tydligare och tydligare - flaggskeppsbutiker i området kring Bibliotekstan och konceptbutiker på Södermalm. ?? Med dessa utgångspunkter har vi undersökt hur två svenska modeföretag av olika storlek, Acne och The Local Firm, arbetar med dessa butikstyper.

In Sweden, we have a limited area available, and with the present development with increasing market oil prices, and enormous forces on the renewable energy sources, we need every hectare possible to protect the output of the forests. So with this in mind, many people are now considering how to increase the production of the forests that are already available. A part of production increases is to manage the existing forests, and not to allow this area to go to cultivation or become marshland. We manage our forests in a way that benefits the environment, and we consider that our working practice over the years has shown us to be correct and well functioning. A part of our way of producing forests is to ensure that we have functioning drainage systems in the forest holdings which we administer. The responsible at Holmen Skog requested a good method to make inventories of the drainage systems of Holmen forests. This Degree Project is about ways to identify and implement drainage systems with modern methods. It deals with authorities regulations, and how they operate in different counties.

Research in computer graphics has since 1970 had as a main goal to achieve photorealism. When working on 3D-production for film, animation is a part of the process. This part aims to give life to digital characters, among other things.

This thesis analyses the rise and fall of social movements. Social movementsfunctions in the civil society, by contentious collective action they form identities,mobilize their forces and use repertoires of contentions to make new or previouslyunaccepted claims. They function in a limited timeframe, sooner or later they getinstitutionalized, marginalised or succumb into violence. The landless movementin Brazil is one of the most profound social movements in the world; their majorgoal is a land reform. Since the leftwing president Lula da Silva won the Brazilianelection in 2002 the president has been unable to live up to the expectations fromthe landless movement about implementing a land reform.

I denna branschstudie gällande livsmedelsbutiker, kommer vi att beröra hur butiker kan marknadsföra sig samt vilka faktorer som spelar störst roll vid kundernas val av butik. För att kunna klargöra detta, kommer vi att använda oss av teorier så som Porters fem konkurrenskrafter samt vissa skolformer utifrån boken Marketing Theory av Jagdish N. Sheth, David M. Gardner och Dennis E. Garret.

Problem: En konsoliderad marknad kännetecknas av en hård konkurrens med många sammanslagningar och uppköp. Ska företaget kunna överleva på egen hand måste det växa snabbare organiskt än konkurrenterna för att inte bli uppköpt. För att uppnå detta krävs att företaget har en unik strategi samt en välutvecklad produktportfölj. Vi har följt Pharmacias arbete med denna problematik. Syfte: Vårt syfte med denna uppsats är att analysera betydelsefulla faktorer vid arbetet med en produktportfölj för företag som verkar på en konsoliderad marknad.Detta vill vi åstadkomma genom att utföra följande delsyften: ·att beskriva den konkurrenssituation som råder på den svenska marknaden för receptfria smärtstillande läkemedel.·Med hjälp av teorierna försöka utröna den aktuella utvecklingen på OTCA.

This essay follows a Media Teacher in her work as a coordinator and an artistic leader for a European project called Legalopoli concerning laws and ethics in a senior level school for 13-16 year-olds in Mora, Sweden. The students write film stories about how their characters have to make choices in ethical dilemma situations. Then the learners create interactive computer games together through practical film work. At the same time we can see how the educator also gets into difficult ethical situations, when she is working with the students. This forces her to self-reflection.

In this essay I have studied Aftonbladets portrayal of the Swedish businessman Jan Stenbeck and if the reporting changes before and after his death, and if so, in which ways. With help from a qualitative syntax analysis and a content analysis I studied my material about Stenbeck during the time period 2000-09-19 to 2004-09-19. In my quantitative analysis I studied 140 articles and in my syntax analysis I studied ten articles, five before and five after Stenbecks death. The theoretical perspectives that I applied in my study is Sigurd Allerns theory about tabloid papers novelty criteria and Adam Shehatas theory about Framing. Allerns theory describes what criteria the tabloid papers have on news and Shehatas theory about framing describes the political forces behind the news who wants to set their own agenda.

The aim of this thesis is to examine how the Swedish Film Institute?s arguments regarding file sharing, copyright and the Internet relates to the changes made in the Swedish copyright law during 2003 and 2007, using the current debate about surveillance versus liberty on the Internet as a backdrop. The theory used is based on Lawrence Lessig?s ideas about how a network such as the Internet can be controlled, and what regulating forces a government can use to constrain a certain behavior such as illegal file sharing. By examining referral statements made by the Swedish Film Institute to five different communications from the Swedish government regarding copyright and film politics an idea analysis is being used as a method to answer the following sub-questions: 1.) How has the Swedish copyright law evolved during the latest years? 2.) What arguments are being used by the Swedish Film Institute in issues regarding file sharing, copyright and the Internet? 3.) Are the arguments being used by the Swedish Film Institute regarding these issues changing during the examined period? The findings of the study show that the Swedish Film Institute has been eager to support a more powerful expansion of the copyright laws, often suggesting more powerful solutions than the Swedish government itself.
