The aim of the study was to study how a today journal system is applied in homecare. The aim was also to examine if a portable journal system could make any effectiveness on the nurse's work and secure the quality of care. The study is a part of a project called Grensebroen which connects public health care, economic industry and university to a network beyond the borders. The primary goal of this cooperation was to develop technological means of assistance which could simplify nursing on daily basis. An empirical study on homecare was made in a district were long distance travels were common for the nurses in duty.

Detta examensarbete har utförts på uppdrag av Försvarsmakten. Arbetets målsättning är att undersöka hot, risker och sårbarheter som portabla enheter kan orsaka eller bidra till inom en organisation. Bärbara datorer med operativsystemet Windows och Mac, samt surfplattor och smartphones med operativsystemet Android, iOS och Windows Phone är de portabla enheter som är utvalda att ingå i denna rapport. Vidare diskuteras förslag på hur man kan förebygga olika säkerhetsrisker. Rapporten tar även upp dagens BYOD-lösningar (Bring Your Own Device).

Detta examensarbete är genererat på egen hand av projektets deltagare. Arbetet avser att frambringa ett förslag på hur en offentlig laddare kan utformas med kartläggning av dess teknik. Produkten riktar sig främst för laddning av mobiltelefoner men ska också fungera till andra energiförsörjande portabla enheter som, mindre datorer, musikspelare samt kameror.Examensarbetet är inom området, produkt- och processutveckling vid institutionen Innovation Design och Produktutveckling på Mälardalens högskola.Projektet omfattar en förstudie med analyser av befintliga produkter på marknaden gällande design, teknik och funktion. Förstudien omfattar också resultatet av en personundersökning för att utforska om det finns ett behov av en sådan produkt på den svenska marknaden samt för att ge inspiration hur den kan utformas. Vi har också tagit del av lämpliga litteraturstudier för att skapa en trovärdighet till läsaren och som stöd för vårt arbete.Med denna förstudie i beaktning inleddes en konceptutveckling med ett omfattande skissarbete som sedan fördes över till cad-modeller med hjälp av programmet Solid Works.

Jag har jämfört hur unga människor lyssnade på inspelad musik på 1970-talet med hur unga lyssnar idag. Jag har gjort en enkätundersökning där två grupper, en som är ung idag och en som var ung på 1970-talet, fått svara på frågor om sitt musiklyssnande. Enkäten har jag kompletterat med fyra intervjuer. Den stora skillnaden när det gäller förutsättningarna för lyssnandet, är övergången från analog till digital teknik. Idag lyssnar vi mer vid datorn eller i portabla medier som mp3-spelare eller mobiltelefoner.

The aim of the thesis is to analyse and understand resolution, repeatability and reproducibility of the measurement system for package distance. The measurement system for package distance is already in use, no Gage R&R has been performed on the system and before spreading use of the system the quality of the system has to be understood and approved.

Utomhus är GPS standard men för positionering inomhus finns det än så länge ingenstandard. Syftet med lokaliseringssystemet som utvecklats i detta projekt är att lokaliserapersoner och andra föremål i rörelse i kontorsliknande miljöer. För ett sådant system finns mångamöjliga användningsområden. Ett av dessa är styrning av belysning.Inledningsvis gjordes en litteraturstudie vars syfte var att undersöka vilka teknologier samtmetoder som finns tillgängliga för positionering av personer och objekt inomhus.

When an error occurs in an IT system that is vital for the production of a major industry, the consequences can be great. To quickly identify and correct errors is important as a stop in a system can lead to a break in production, which is costly for the industry. Our task in this thesis has been to develop a system for ÅF that facilitates the debugging process of the system Paperline. The system's target audience is ÅF-call personnel that provides support for Paperline 24 hours a day if something goes wrong. The system consists of a Windows service, a database and a web application and is developed mainly with the techniques C#.NET, MVC 5, Google Charts, Javascript, HTML, CSS, and Entity Framework.

Arbetet undersöker grafikkortets lämplighet att tolka L-system i realtid. L-system är ett strängomskrivningssystem som beskriver strukturen hos botaniska former. Lsystem tolkas med hjälp av sköldpaddstolkningen för att få en geometrisk tolkning. För att utvärdera om grafikkortet är lämpat att tolka L-system i realtid har två system implementerats. Det ena systemet tolkar L-system på processorn och det andra systemet tolkar L-system på grafikkortet.

This report describes the development of a system for controlling documents. The report starts with a problem description which the company wants an intranet-based solution for. The report then continues to describe the development phase for the different parts of the system which results in a complete system. This thesis examines if commercial-of-the-shelf (COTS) systems meet the needs in different types of organizations. This was investigated through a case study of a COTS system. The system is built for contact centers and used in different types of organizations. Contextual inquiries with users from six different organizations were held together with interviews with stakeholders of the system. This gave an understanding for how the system is used and the needs to be met in the different organizations were recognized.

As part of an internship at Ericsson, this report was written to enhance the understanding of how it is to develop a system that is well established at the workplace. In order to reduce the price for, and improve the performance of automatic control systems for magnetization of synchronus generators, the possibilities of using a PC based software PLC system, Programmable Logic Controller, has been investigated. The result is a system based on the CoDeSys software PLC with runtime environment from 3S-Software, communicating with external units via Modbus fieldbus.
