Trådlösa sensornät (eng. Wireless Sensor Networks, WSN) är ett snabbt växande teknikområde med många applikationer. Ett typiskt WSN består av en mängd små billiga och energisnåla enheter, så kallade sensornoder, som mäter någon miljöparameter och via radio skickar ett datapaket med uppmätt värde till en basstation som ofta är kopplad till en PC. Informationen kan därefter analyseras eller redovisas grafiskt för användaren. Sensornätverkets storlek kan variera från några få noder på en liten yta till nätverk med tusentals noder som täcker flera kvadratkilometer stora områden.

The background to this paper is the fact that many products are demonstrated to show the consumer value of the product. This is generally the fact when it comes to agricultural products, such as tractors. The growing number of models makes this even more import for the retailer to perform a demonstration that really catches the interest of a prospect customer. One problem is that these demonstrations are expensive and many small retailers have difficulties to afford demonstrations of every model. Together with Åhmans Traktorcentrum AB a market investigation was conducted. The company has its primary sales area in the region of Östergötland and north part of Småland. Åhmans Traktorcentrum AB is a John Deere dealer.

Under 2000-talets första hälft bytte flertalet svenska dagstidningar format ? från fullformat till det mindre tabloidformatet. Tidigare studier visar att bilderna tar upp en större del av tidningens satsyta i det nyare formatet. Bilderna blev alltså inte mindre till storleken trots att tidningens sidor blev det. Syftet med vår studie är att ta reda på hur bildanvändningen och bilderna har förändrats sedan formatbytet.

Sales Partner Group är ett Nyköpingsbaserat företag med inriktning på utbildning och rekrytering inom säljmarknaden. Företaget kontaktade Linköpings Universitet då de var i behov av en ny grafisk profil, främst då för Internet. En ny användarvänlig och dynamisk webbsajt med syftet att samla den allmänna kundgruppen, säljare samt personal på ett och samma ställe var vad som efterfrågades. Förutom att webbsajten skulle vara dynamisk och användarvänlig skulle den även vara lätt att uppdatera, erbjuda interaktivitet samt ge specifika användare en möjlighet till att kunna föra en diskussion och få tillgång till viktig information i en personlig community.Resultatet är en databasdriven webbsajt med kombinationen av HTML, CSS, PHP samt MySQL. Designen har skapats utifrån generella grundregler för användbarhet på Internet och för layout och design i allmänhet.

Uppsatsen tar sin utgångspunkt i militärteknikens grund, hur tekniken inverkar på militär verksamhet. Det utförs genom att utreda hur delar av Semantisk Interoperabilitet (SI) påverkar den militära kontexten. Genom att undersöka hur en organisation som är van att arbeta med traditionella informationsutbyten mellan informationssystem och hur arbetet skulle påverkas om första steget av SI införs ? att utveckla systemnära ontologier. Organisationen i frågan är Försvarets Materielverk (FMV) som har en längre erfarenhet att traditionellt utveckla och vidmakthålla informationsöverföringsgränsytor baserade på dedikerade format och protokoll.

The thesis strives to reveal the dynamics between a central and a peripheral shopping area in Kalmar, Sweden. The establishment of larger shopping centers has become a hallmark of postindustrial cities. Cities globally are at risk of creating an urban economic rift between the central and peripheral shopping areas. By establishing major shopping venues around the traditional central business districts, cities hope to create a larger customer hinterland and thereby also increased economic growth. The aim of this thesis is answered by two research questions regarding collaboration and competition between two shopping areas; the central Kvarnholmen and peripheral Hansa City Mall.

Det här examensarbetet har gjorts på Mälardalens Högskola i Västerås tillsammans med företaget TDC Sverige AB. Projektet handlar om automatisering av funktioner i en nätverksmiljö. Eftersom detta projekt både har en teoretisk del och praktisk del så behövdes en lokal för att implementera den praktiska delen. Detta löstes genom att TDC Sverige AB lånade ut sitt laboratorium i Norrköping. Automatisering innebär att istället för att en människa ska göra något manuellt så gör ett datorsystem det.

Sammanfattning Denna rapport redovisar ett tillvägagångssätt att inventera, inmäta och kartera föreslagna cykelleder åt Torsby Sportcenter samt framställa ett dokument med adressuppgifter över berörda fastighetsägare. Inventering och inmätning utfördes med en enklare GPS-mottagare. Kartan framställdes i GIS-programmet ArcMap och som bakgrundskarta användes fastighetskartan ur vilken valda lager exporterades. För en del lager slogs vissa klasser ihop till en klass för att få en fungerande kartbild. Samtliga lager gavs egna manér. För att framställa fastighetsägaruppgifterna söktes först berörda fastigheter ut i fastighetskartan.

The social dimension in the EU, explored through the document texts of the Treaty of Rome, the Lisbon Strategy, the Social Policy Agenda and the Swedish Strategy ReportThis paper explores the social dimension of EU social policy, except the aspects of the economic and labour market. The EU documents reveal an underlying line of thought stemming from the alignment of the six founding countries, spearheaded by France, with the conservative corporatist welfare model. As one of four European welfare models, the conservative corporatist model emphasises labour market issues, corporate social responsibility and the subsidiarity principle in EU social policy. It also influences how the texts define the terms social, social policy and social exclusion. The definitions determine how policymakers combat problems such as social exclusion and identify the policy issues to be included in EU social policy.The Swedish Strategy shows how the country is responding to the objectives that it has been assigned by the EU and how it plans to attain them.

Forskning om lösningsinriktat arbete i skolan, En dokumentanalys av 9 vetenskapliga publikationer (Research on Solution-focused brief therapy in school, A docu-ment-analysis of 9 scientific publications). Skolutveckling och ledarskap, Specialpedagogik, Lärarutbildningen, Malmö högskola. Lösningsinriktat arbete, SFBT eng., har under det senaste decenniet använts som en mo-dell/metod i skolan. Modellen/metoden har använts både i inlärningssituationen och för att främja elevers socioemotionella utveckling. Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka vilken veten-skapligt granskad forskning som finns tillgänglig för lösningsinriktat arbete i skolan och vil-ken effekt metoden har i skolkontext.

This study is an investigation of how fa?adism can be understood as an act of conservation and compensation in Sweden, through the definition of fa?adism as the act of retaining or reconstructing an existing fa?ade with the construction of a new building behind the fa?ade. The study is executed through an investigation and analysis of the definition of fa?adism, arguments for and against fa?adism related to authenticity, and through an analysis of how current legislation, policies and charters regarding conservation and/or compensation can support or counteract fa?adism. The first part of this study is executed through a literature study of fa?adism on an international level.

The third most common conifer in Sweden is Pinus contorta (lodgepole pine). It originates from the western part of North America and was brought here in the end of the 1920s. The lodgepole pine is today allowed for commercial plantations in central and northern Sweden, excluding high altitude locations. Since 1979 only plantations with scientific purpose are allowed in south-central and south Sweden. This document is focused on how lodgepole pine manage perform compared with Pinus sylvestris (Scots pine) in the southernmost part of Sweden, Götaland. The idea came from the fact that the Swedish government is evaluating a notification from the National Forest Agency that suggests lodgepole pine to be allowed for commercial plantation even in southern Sweden.

This essay illustrates the rules and procedures when it comes to inclusive labor markets. In Sweden we have a labor market program called entry-level jobs, which makes it easier for immigrants to get work since our public employment agency pay remuneration to the employers.In this essay I am answering the following questions:How does the work of our public employment agency and trade union looks like before, during and after an employee has gotten a subsidized employment called entry-level job, and in which way can this work be improved if necessary?How extensive do entry-level jobs contribute to increased integration and establishment on the labor market for newly arrived immigrants?How does the Swedish measure on entry-level jobs approach within the scope of European regulations about measures for inclusive labor market?To find answers to my questions I have used social science methodology and juridical method. I have performed document studies and interviews with concerned parts.The conclusion of above subordinated questions is that we need to extend the Swedish laws covering entry-level jobs so that the concerned parts know which assignments they will be responsible for when problems emerge on a workplace.When it comes to if entry-level jobs contribute to increase integration and establishment on the labor market it seems to be more important to integrate the immigrants quickly, and with which quality it is made does not seems to matter. The public employment agency has to emphasize the importance of Swedish language so that the employees can be independent from authorities in the future.

The  change that has occurred during the past few decades concerning the development of electronic records, information technology and the constantly increasing quantity of information, have confronted the archival discipline with new challenges. In the digital world, the concept of ?record? has changed from representing something lasting and physical to something much more abstract and transient. The way to approach archival description has also changed, from focusing on the static preservation of archival records, to documenting the transactions of organisations, and to clarify operational processes. The discussion about the general purpose of the archival discipline, and its place in a changing world, has led to a new approach to archival description.
