As social interactions migrate to the ubiquitous Internet we are facing a change in theway we relate to each other, which presents interesting new opportunities foranonymity to create identities. An aspect of this radically evolving technology thatexhibits strong possibilities for altering or producing identities is the rapidly growingonline game genre MMOG (Massive Multiplayer Online Game) which isentertainment that millions of people all over the globe engage in daily. Thisrelatively new platform for socialising has become of cultural and social significance,which is why it calls for examination and research. Thus, the main research questionsasked in this thesis are as following: How does players of MMOGs utilise the nighcomplete anonymity to present or modify their identities online? In which ways areMMOGs used as a platform for socialising and development of social groupdynamics? After observing a large group of players in a popular MMOG, as well asconducting several interviews with key identities within the group, I discovered three fundamental parts of identity creation, and created a model for use and applicationin different social situations and constellations..

AbstractWhy don't (some) regimes with formal democratic features undergo transition to democracy? Which are the internal dynamics of these regimes that can offer comprehension to this state of affairs? The main purpose of this thesis is to advance the above questions, and, on a lower level of abstraction, examine the case of Egypt. The Egyptian regime is characterized by, for instance, a multiparty-system, steps toward economic liberalization, and some level of persistent state opposition, and has been considered on the way to liberal democracy, but can still hardly be estimated as such.Thus, the thesis takes part in a theoretical framework on democratization, and further analyzes the case of Egypt on grounds of socioeconomic development, political culture, and class configuration. By this contextual approach, the thesis adduces that a low level of modernization, an incomplete democratic political culture, and a bourgeoisie supported by the state are impending significant factors. The thesis additionally remarks on the interconnection of the adopted theories, and discusses a potential need for new theoretical propositionsA secondary aim of the thesis also gives some insights into the concurrence of regime stability and the absence of democracy in, what often could be labelled, authoritarian regimes.

Ringhals 3 is being upgraded to produce more power and a tool for analyzing the new operating conditions is needed.The work in this thesis has consisted of improving and developing an existing model of Ringhals 3 made with the modelling tool Dymola. The model has been validated by comparing the results of a simulated house load transient with data from the actual plant. Validation shows good agreement with data from the real plant.

Den här uppsatsen grundas på sju halvstrukturerade intervjuer med olika muslimska ungdomar som praktiserar olika i frågan om bön.Uppsatsens syfte är att ta reda på om gymnasieungdomar ber och vad bönen betyder för dem samt varför de praktiserar bön. Focus har legat på bönens inverkan på ungdomarnas psykiska hälsa.För att svara på uppsatsens frågor används den kvalitativa surveymetoden. Den innebär att undersökningen fokuserar på attityder hos en population.Slutsatsen som jag kommit fram genom min undersökning är att alla mina informanter ber och bönen gör dem gott. Resultaten är giltig bara på min skola och i mina klasser samt för muslimer i undersökningen..

Syfte och frågeställningar Syftet med studien är att undersöka om elever upplever stress i samband med sina studier. Vi är även intresserade av att se om avslappningsövningar på skoltid kan sänka upplevd stress. Undersökningen kommer även att genomföras så att data kan analyseras ur ett genusperspektiv. Detta syfte har undersökts utifrån dessa frågeställningar:Hur ser stressnivåerna ut för denna population jämfört med nationella nivåer?Vilken effekt har avslappningsövningar på elevernas upplevda stressnivåer?Hur skiljer sig resultaten mellan flickor och pojkar? Metod Studien har genomförts som en kvantitativ undersökning, en kombinerad tvärsnitt- och kvasiexperimentell studie, där insamlingen av data skett genom två stycken enkätundersökningar i tre klasser samt ett kvasiexperiment i två av dessa.

A  brief review of computer and Internet history attempts to explain the formation and evolution of social media. Risks in terms of risks related to leadership and risks related to IT-security are taken into consideration and have been briefly explained.

There is an irregularity in the interregional migration in Sweden. An increasing proportion ofthe population is drawn to the metropolitan areas, which creates problems for the smallermunicipalities and towns when their population declines. At the same time, our whole societyis faced with a great challenge: we need to redirect towards a sustainable development, wherethe environmental issues are discussed and dealt with to secure that all present and futuregenerations are given equal opportunities to live a good life.The aim of this study is to, focusing mainly on the environmental dimension of thesustainability concept, examine the attractivity of housing with sustainability claims. Toanswer this, three research questions were used:? Was the migration motive to reduce their environmental impact a part of the decision tomove, among migrants who had moved to housing with sustainability claims?? If the motive was a part of the decision, how much impact did it have compared to othermigration motives?? Which factors in housing aiming at sustainability are considered important by peopleliving in housing with sustainability claims?The research questions have been answered using quantitative data, gained in the form of selfadministeredquestionnaires which were distributed in four different residential areas withsustainability claims in the county of Västra Götaland, Sweden.

Blädningsbruk förutsätter fullskiktad skog med fallande diameterfördelning, under nordiska förhållanden vanligtvis dominerad av gran (Picea abies (L.) Karst). Strukturen i fullskiktad skog är resultatet av tillväxt, skörd/mortalitet och inväxning. Kunskap om det komplexa samspelet mellan dessa faktorer ger skogsskötaren möjlighet att planera och sköta fullskiktad skog för en hög och uthållig produktion. Undersökningar och litteratur inom aktuella områden tas upp i en litteraturstudie. Ämnen som behandlas är: definitioner och begrepp, diameterfördelningen i fullskiktad skog och hur denna kan beskrivas, blädning och andra avverkningsstrategier samt tillväxt- och produktionsundersökningar i Norden, Europa och USA.
