Inom denna uppsats har jag studerat stressrelaterad psykisk ohälsa.Syftet med min uppsats var att, ur ett socialpsykologiskt perspektiv, försöka finna insikt och förståelse inför ett problem som kan orsaka både ekonomiskt och själsligt lidande för samhälle och individ. Vidare syftade min uppsats till att finna ett komplement, till den nödvändiga fortsatta forskningen, rörande stressrelaterad psykisk ohälsa.Frågeställningen löd som följer: På vilket sätt beskriver och speglar människan, sina upplevelser, relaterade till den livsperiod, som genomsyrats av stressrelaterad psykisk ohälsa?Uppsatsens empiriska material består av intervjuer, vilka jag tolkat och analyserat utifrån ett hermeneutiskt perspektiv.Mitt resultat påvisar att; innan och under sin sjukdomsperiod befinner sig människor med stressrelaterad psykisk ohälsa inom ett icke-kommunikativt tillstånd, både gentemot andra människor, samt gentemot sig själva. Läkprocessen handlar om att lära nytt, att ändra på sig, samt att påbörja en utforskande livsberättelse. Berättandet blir till en del av läkprocessen eftersom den tillhandahåller självreflexiva element.

Background:Chronic heart failure (CHF) is a complex clinical condition. The higher survival rate after heart attack and other heart diseases, plus aging population, has led to more CHF patients. Symptoms can have negative impact on exercise capacity, ability to perform activities of daily living and quality of life. Heart failure clinics have been established to help better quality of life. Helping to stabilize and maintain patients´ health can reduce the need of hospital admission.

The aim of this study was to investigate whether the Swedish Institute of public health care uses paternalistic information in their alcohol publications. My intention has also been to examine to what extent the paternalistic information is being used. This is determined simply by how frequently paternalistic information is found in the publications. I chose to analyse five publications that contain alcohol related information and had a clear motive. My results show that all five publications use paternalistic methods with the intention to change readers, or people in their surroundings, alcoholic behaviour. Though this is quite a small essay, I have suggested extended research of the subject ? preferably of all 176 alcoholic publications presented by the Institute of public health care..

Public health focuses on interventions related to physical activity during leisure and at work under conditions where health care is offered during working hours. Increased physical activity offers many positive effects on health in general and reduces the risk for most injuries and illnesses. Female cleaners represent a profession that is largely composed of women at high risk of overload injury and rarely participate in wellness initiatives offered at workplace. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of 20 minutes of daily physical exercise for 10 weeks of intervention for healthy female cleaners. A total of 40 female cleaners in a larger organization participated in the study and were divided in into an intervention group and a control group.

Construction companies in Sweden have for recent years seen an increase in the numbers ofwarranty complaints associated with the market of resident buildings and the cost for this hasbeen measured to over 1.2 billion SEK per year. Working with poor quality cost as a way ofcreating insight about defects within the company?s processes is a method developed and usedby the manufacturing industry for decades, but have not yet reached the construction industry.This study has been performed in collaboration with a Swedish construction company, wherethe author has been stationed at the aftersales division for residential buildings. Owing tocircumstances, this published report has been made anonymous regarding the company whowill further on be namedthe Company. The Company is aware that warranty claims producegreat costs and has requested a way of putting cost and cause to specific claims in order ofreceiving a more specific cost view and to make the reuse of knowledge more efficient.

Here is presented the result and discussion of a survey concerning the psychosocial environment in a school in the vicinity of Stockholm. The theoretical background of this study was the model of demand-control by Theorell, and various aspects of stress by Frankenhauser and Ödman. The survey was constituted of an inquiry form which was handed out to six different classes at the school. A total of 86 students filled in the form, and their answers were treated with standard statistical procedures to reveal the results. The inquiry form was made up by five parts; one that concerned the background of the respondent, one that reflected the psychosocial health and stress level and three parts that concerned discrimination, victimization and school democracy.

Society and the workplace are two factors that are important for the individual's health status. It is important that the individuals has the right skills to take care of their health. For organizations, it is important to strive for the welfare of their employees. This has proven to have a positive impact on work performance, reduced absenteeism and reduced costs for rehabilitation. In 2007, the local authorities in Umeå implemented a wellness offering for all employees working in the municipality administration.

Att mäta patienters HRQoL (Health Related Quality of Life) är en viktig utvecklingslinje inom vård och vårdforskning. Medicinsk resultatmätning bör kompletteras med nya dimensioner för att kunna utvärdera patientens samlade nytta av behandling och vårdåtgärder. Mätningar är särskilt viktiga när det gäller kroniska sjukdomstillstånd. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka erfarenheterna av SF 36 (Short Form (36) Health Survey) på enheter som deltog i Skåneprojektet. Metoden var en enkätundersökning med kvalitativ ansats.

Previous research and patient complaints to the Swedish Patient Support Committee shows that there is a lack of substance in the patient-nurse relationship. This may suggest that it can be difficult for health care to live up to health-care law which requires it to be of good quality, based on dignity and respect and designed so that the patient is an active participant and can make their own decisions when it comes to their health care. For a better understanding of what a dignified patient-nurse relationship is, this study aims to clarify what the patient values as good patient-nurse relationship and describe how they have experienced the patient-nurse relationship during their stay at an emergency care department. The study is a descriptive cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach, where the population consisted of patients who were cared for at an emergency care department in the County of Västmanland, Sweden during 2007. The sample consisted of 93 patients which were asked to answer a questionnaire.

Aim The aim of this study was to investigate the attitudes of midwives and gynaecologists at youth health clinics about their own thoughts of risks with unprotected oral sex and testing of orally contagious sexually transmitted infections (STI). The aim was also to investigate the level of knowledge of oral STIs. One further aim was to examine what they thought about the level of knowledge about oral STIs among adolescents and how common unprotected oral sex is within this group and if oral STIs/oral sex is brought up in the form of information or questions during STI-testing.Method Seventy-five youth health clinics all over Sweden were randomly chosen. A questionnaire was sent by mail to the clinics. It included questions about attitudes, knowledge about STIs and information exchange.

Type 2 diabetes is a growing disease in the population which includes that older people are a risk group. With the disease grows even cost?s. A lifestyle change is a major part of the treatment for type 2 diabetes. There are several factors that suggest positive effects on prevention among the elderly where, among other things, economic and health benefits are presented.

Syftet med studien var attutifrån vetenskaplig litteraturbeskriva hur sjukdomen fibromyalgi inverkar på patienters liv och vardag samt att beskriva vilka copingstrategier som används för att hantera en vardag med fibromyalgi och för att uppnå livskvalité. Metodologiskt tillvägagångssättvar att genom databasen Pubmed söka vetenskapliga artiklar utifrån sökorden:fibromyalgia, coping, experience, pain, symptoms, coping strategies, health, patient perspective och qualitative. Studien genomfördes som en deskriptiv litteraturstudie och totalt inkluderades 13 vetenskapliga artiklar i resultatet. Huvudresultatet visade att fibromyalgi inverkar på patienters vardag och livssituation. Patienter lever med ständig smärta, kronisk trötthet och bristande energi vilket var en begränsande faktor i det dagliga livet.

Touch that is performed in a sensitive and gentle way can be a good complement in caring. To be stricken with illness can involve that the individual feels powerlessness and to have no control over the own body. This could lead to both psychical and physical suffering. To strength health is one of the nurses' responsibilities and to touch can be one way. The aim of the study was to describe patients' experience of the effects of touch.

AbstractFrom 1st of July 2003 it is compulsory for companies with an average number of ten employees the latest two financial years to account sick leave in the annual report.The government?s purpose with accounting of sick leave was partly to evoke an action from the companies? side in terms of motion as an effect due to the awareness of the level of the sick leave. The government was of the opinion that the companies had too deficient knowledge in sick leave and that the knowledge about causes and costs had to increase.In this paper three companies affected by the compulsory accounting of sick leave have been interviewed. The paper defines to only concern private companies. The companies were interviewed in purpose to form an opinion of whether the companies have changed their health promoting actions due to the application of the law.

I Sverige begår ca 1500 personer suicid per år, och 90 % av dessa har visat tecken på psykisk sjukdom. Av de som har gjort suicidförsök kommer ungefär hälften i kontakt med vården. Psykiatrisk omvårdnad syftar till att främja hälsa och lindra lidande och det behövs många olika färdigheter i arbetet med den suicidnära patienten, för att genom den terapeutiska relationen kunna ge en empatisk, säker och professionell omvårdnad. Syftet med litteraturstudien var att beskriva vilka faktorer som var viktiga i omvårdnadsarbetet med suicidnära patienter, ur ett patientperspektiv. Metoden som användes var en litteraturstudie.
