This thesis is an analysis of articles published in the Palestinian newspaper al-Quds concerning the escalated conflicts within the Fatah movement during the summer in 2004.The study is done on the basis of the assumption that The Palestinian Authority (PA) expects the domestic media institutions to support the official objectives and, in this case most important, the national unity. My investigation reveals that the articles are indeed highly adjusted and purposed to unify and to hinder further growing instability, both in the politicalsphere and in the streets. The message urging for unification under the PA is constantly, directly and indirectly, repeated throughout the articles by the choice of themes and references as well as by the choice of individuals and organisations delivering statements..

Denna uppsats handlar om en typ av politisk aktivism som kallas Culture Jamming. Målet för denna aktivism är att påvisa att maktfördelningen i världen idag har blivit snedvriden och att alltför stort förtroende har givits åt de ?fria marknadskrafterna? samt politikerna som förespråkar dessa. Aktivisterna, eller ?jammarna? som de också kallas, försöker uppnå sitt mål genom att vända makthavarnas egna språk emot dem.

This thesis presents a qualitative, comparative study of the violence in the adaptations of Hunger Games (Tony Ross, 2012) and Battle Royale (Kinji Fukusaku, 2000). By analyzing the function of violence in a single scene in each of the movies, and comparing it to the literary original, the study aims to explore if there are any differences in the representation of the violence in the two media. The study also briefly discusses whether the violence has any function in bringing the story forward in both the literary sources and in the films and what the motivation for the violence is. "The study also includes a brief analysis of the narratives in relation to the monomyth established by Jospeh Campbell. Specifically, I discuss the similarities between Hunger Games and Battle Royale, which are two stories that have been created in two different cultural traditions, and whether or not we can say that the stories derive from this monomyth." The result concludes that the monomyth can be found in both stories, but that the scenes which is analyzed has to be put into the context and furhter story of the film to be of any relvance to the theory.

Det kan bero på att de är få till antalet och att den senaste regeringskrisen inträffade över 20 år sedan, vilket gör fenomenet till något som är mindre aktuellt. Regeringskrisen 2014 gjorde dock denna typ av politisk händelse aktuellt igen. Syftet för denna undersökning är att bidra till en ökad förståelse och ökad kunskap om hur regeringskriser skildras i media, för att kunna bidra med en liten pusselbit för att minska kunskapsluckan om fenomenet.Undersökningen ämnar svara på forskningsfrågan: ?Hur svenska medier skildrade Regeringskrisen 2014?.

Over the last decade the conversation on entrepreneurship has been both worldwide and intense. In Sweden, as in many other countries, this conversation has also concerned women?s entrepreneurship. Parallel with this conversation has been the debate on women in leading position in large corporations. This thesis aims to find out why and how women use entrepreneurship to handle existing conditions in life (such as the hardship of combining a traditional career with a traditional family life) and to create new conditions that suit them better.

The aim of this paper is to analyse how subject, gender and sexuality is constructed in the book Dårfinkar & dönickar (1984), by Ulf Stark. In relation to this I have also analysed how the main character, Simone, develops from being a child into becoming a teenager.Queertheory is the theoretical basis of this paper. Queer theory questions heteronormativity and aims to dissolve conceptions and notions that function in an excluding and limiting way. Queer theory also questions conceptions that seem obvious and/or natural, for example ?woman?/?man? and ?homo-/heterosexuality?.I have chosen to focus the analysis on a number key events in the book and they are categorised according to Tiina Rosenberg`s three dramaturgic concepts: transformation, unveiling and restoration.

AbstractSedan Kubas revolution 1959 har landet genomgått stora förändringar. Denna uppsatsundersöker hur utvecklingen av Kubas sjuk- och hälsovårdssystem mellan åren 1959-1996 harpåverkats av såväl interna som externa faktorer. Detta har gjorts ur ett empiriskt och ettteorikonsumerande perspektiv. Statistik har legat till grunden för den empiriska delen och deteoretiska perspektiv som används är hämtade ur legitimitetsteori, biståndsteori ochsanktionsteori. I denna uppsats har vi använt oss av ett avvikande-perspektiv på Kubas sjuk-och hälsovårdssystem.

This essay concerns dance as an exhibition object by examining the permanent exhibition at The Museum of Dance in Stockholm, Dansmuseet. Due to its dependence on the temporality and movement of the lived body, dance does not easily lend itself to being exhibited in a traditional exhibition display; and since the live dance performance itself is ostensibly absent at the exhibition display, other means of representation must be relied upon in order to evoke the exhibition visitors? experiences of time and movement as well as the feeling of dance. Starting from a phenomenological first-person perspective, as an exhibition visitor, I present three ways in which such experiences may come about. The cross-section of the experience evoked and the means that trigger them are intermedial, spatial, and performative taking their departure in the visitor?s pre-understanding of dance..

The aim of this study was to examine the existing discourse of assault in Aftonbladet from the years 2012 and 2013. We have studied news articles and analysed them by using discourse analysis as theory and method.The study shows that the portrayal of perpetrators and victims in assault cases tend to differ depending on gender. The women is portrayed as weak and part of a homogeneous group while the man is portrayed as dominant and offered a more individual role. The study also shows that the normative group is separated from the deviate groups in society. The analyze show that media, through this representation, maintains the normative power in society.

Uppsatsens huvudsyfte är att kartlägga hur könsfördelningen gällande manus som gick upp på bio såg ut under treårsperioden 2010 -2012. Den riktar därmed in sig på två skilda punkter, dels ur ett statistsikt perspektiv där uppsatsen kartlägger hur fördelningen mellan kvinnor och män ser ut angående manus som blivit film. Under denna statistikdel kommer det även visas vilka genrer som har störst representation av kvinnor respektive män samt skillnader mellan dessa olika år gällande exempelvis adaptioner. Därefter kommer huvudfokus ligga på analysen av fyra olika manus skrivna av kvinnor för att på så sätt lysa upp eventuella styrkor eller svagheter som kan påverka hur könsfördelning ser ut. Syftet med denna studie är att skapa en djupare förståelse för verksamhetsstyrning och vadsom påverkar primärvårdsverksamheter. Detta har vi gjort genom att undersöka offentliga ochprivata vårdcentraler med syfte att se om bolagsformen påverkat möjligheten att anpassa sigtill den nya konkurrenssituationen som uppstått primärvårdsenheter emellan. Vi har även lagten tyngd på ledarrollen för att se om den skiljer sig åt mellan verksamhetscheferna. Studiensom genomförts är en kvalitativ studie med teoriavsnitt som bygger på relevantaorganisations- och ledarskapsteorier. Studiens empiriska del är grundat på intervjuer somgjorts på privata och offentliga verksamhetschefer inom primärvården.

The aim of this study is to investigate how new knowledge, discovered and translated by the archaeologist, is transferred to the public by examining the question posed to the archaeologist by ?la?nsstyrelsen,? the county administration office.Since there can be no mediation of knowledge without an understanding of its perception, I pay a visit to the cognitive sciences in order to answer what knowledge is and how it functions in regards to contract archaeological results.I argue that the current structure of mediation, in regards to archaeological knowledge, is in need of the same quality control that is demanded by the contractors in regards to standard archaeological procedures. When presenting archaeology to the public, consideration needs to be paid to the different targets groups of society. The importance of national directions rather than regional translations for mediation of archaeology is stressed by the author. This needs to be carried out through a change of the questions posed to the contracted archaeologists by the county administration in their ?fo?rfra?gningsunderlag,? the order specification for archaeological investigations. .
