Youth unemployement in Sweden is at an all-time high, a fifth of all university and college students live in poverty and the number of young on welfare is increasing. This study attempts to answer the question of how youth deprivation has been made possible as a consequence of political action, focusing on youth unemployment.I critically examine the role of the Swedish government, the Swedish Labour Organisation (LO), and the various government departments through text analysis, in order to answer the question of how the current discourse on youth position in the labor market. Because youth unemployment is not an isolated phenomena the analysis covers several policy areas, such as education policy, labor market regulation and housing policy. I use discourse theories drawn from Laclau and Mouffe to expose how language is used as an instrument of political power.I conclude that the current situation is a result of policy choices where the young have fallen behind due to lack of political organization. Their situation is not problematized to the required degree and is often explained on an individual level rather than on a structural level..

There are a lot of different ways toimplement the economic aid that are being used by the donors today, and this essay will try toexemplify the different methods of implementing the economic aid. To elucidate the relationbetween donors and corrupt regimes, the essay analyzes three themes: the first two questionsare about the policies used by the donors, and the third question are used to shed light on theactual implementation of aid to corrupt governments. The three themes are: i) Different aidpolicies used by the donors ii) Do donors use particular policies against corrupt regimes? iii)Do corrupt regimes receive less foreign aid? This study stresses the fact that donors do notact like a group unit in the matter of development assistance policy, instead they act inseveral separate groups, this may complicate the endeavour of making economic aid effective.The conclusion of the essay is that corrupt governments are treated the same way that lesscorruptedgovernment are, nothing today indicates that donors would give less economic aidto the corrupt regimes.

It is important that the childrens development and learning are documentated properly, both for the child itself, but also as an quality review and evaluation of the work that is made at the Preschool.In this study we have examined preschool teacher?s attitudes towards pedagogical documentation and how they work with it and use it in the daily work at the Preschool.We have also examined their own abilities to implement pedagogical documentation. For whom is the documentation made for? We also wanted to see if the children had any opportunity to influence the work.We have used a qualitative method and our study is based on six semi-structured interviews with six preschool teachers.

Därför vore det av intresse att undersöka om det är en tillämpar metod i specialistsjuksköterskeutbildningen mot intensivvård. Syftet med studien var att undersöka peer learning som handledningsmetod inom specialistsjuksköterskeutbildningen mot intensivvård utifrån handledares perspektiv. Studien utfördes genom fokusgruppsintervju med en beskrivande design med induktiv ansats där data analyserades med manifest kvalitativ innehållsanalys. I studien framkom sex kategorier och fyra underkategorier.

The topic of this essay is core value issues, how they are mediated in school and how they are practiced. I am investigating a problem concerning the existential worth of the core values-content for children, or in other words, the difficulty of reconciling the theory of the core values and their practice. This problem is portrayed by two stories. The aim of this work is to investigate how to combine the core values theory with its practice, in other words, make it meaningful. In my essay, I turn to recent research in the field to provide a background to my issue, and hereby further point to my problem.

According to many scholars America's soft power is in decline, a power resource whose importance has been increasing in world politics. This makes it interesting to examine if there is a difference between how Democratic and Republican administrations wield their soft power.This thesis is a hypothesis-testing study and the purpose is to test the hypothesis that Democratic administrations, to a greater extent than Republican, can create, utilize and defend soft power. My thesis is based on Joseph Nye's theory of soft power and the focus of this study is the aspects of the foreign policy resources. In order to measure this concept I have made my own operationalization where five different indicators serve as my guidance. I use the method of least likely-cases to select and motivate the administrations being tested, which gives me a comparative study of the Democratic administrations of Lyndon Johnson and Bill Clinton and the Republican administration of George H.

Syfte: Syftet med vår uppsats är att undersöka två turistattraktioner för att se hur de hanterar och arbetar med tillgänglighet när det gäller människor med funktionsnedsättning. Turistattraktionerna vi valt är Flygvapenmuseum i Linköping och Arbetets museum i Norrköping.Metod och material: Vi har använt oss av kvalitativa metoder. Utgångspunkten för val av metod är en lättare variant av fältstudie även kallad observation. Vi gjorde två observationer, först hos Flygvapenmuseum sedan hos Arbetets museum. Efter våra observationer använde vi oss av en semistrukturerad intervju, detta för att få svar på det som vi inte lyckades hitta svar på under observationerna.
