So called honour based violence is a present problem in Sweden. Although recently there has been a steadily growing political and academic awareness around so called honour based violence, there are still problems in the face to face meeting with the victims. This dissertation contributes to the understanding of these victims. The empirical material is based on five young women's stories about growing up in a context of 'honour' and their experiences from breaking up from this context.  My ambition is letting these stories be heard and told as to lead to an increasing understanding of how these women experience themselves and their surrounding society. The purpose of this dissertation is to illustrate how young women interpret their self in the light of a separation from their families.

Detta arbete undersöker problematiken i att visuellt framföra och presentera ett arbetsområde i ämnet träslöjd. Uppsatsen handlar även om och hur slöjdlärare kan undvika onödig stress. Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur man i träslöjd kan utvidga sättet att presentera uppgifter för eleverna på ett inspirerande, innehållsrikt och konkret sätt. Genom att bedriva en praktisk visuell presentation i form av Power Point har jag fått en uppfattning om ett alternativ till den traditionella undervisningsformen i träslöjd. En utvärdering gjordes med eleverna efter Power Point presentationen och den visade bland annat att eleverna i år 4 fick mer utbyte av uppgiften jämfört med år 5-6.

Being a completely new phenomenon it is of great interest and importance to study its effects.The study in this essay also aims to verify, falsify or nullify two hypotheses very often referred to in the political discussions regarding the merit Point system:The merit Point system will replace affection and interest as main reasons for language studies in upper secondary school and cause a rectification amongst the students choices of additional courses.The merit Point system will have a segregating effect upon society and make it harder for people to rise in society through education in the future.A verification of these hypotheses would imply the appearance of an increased rectification amongst students as well as an orientation towards an in the future more segregated society.The empiric material has been collected and examined with qualitative as well as quantitative methods (questionnaires and interviews) and belongs epistemologically to the phenomenological and hermeneutical traditions..

Denna uppsats är skriven på avancerad nivå inom socialt arbete. Dess syfte är att belysa turning Points från kriminalitet och utgår från intervjuer med personer som tidigare haft en kriminell karriär. Intervjuerna har varit semistrukturerade och berört orsaken till turning Points och motivationskällor till upprätthållandet av beslutet. Analysen har genomförts med hjälp av symbolisk interaktionism och teorier om stämpling, stigma och strain. The purpose of this study was to build a database for Point-bearing piles in dense noncohesive soil, predominantly moraine. Further, the database was analysed and areas with difficult geotechnical conditions was identified.The database includes for Point-bearing piles driven to refusal in moraine. Piles with mainly shaft friction have been excluded. Only concrete piles have been included. Geographically the database covers almost all geotechnical conditions of Sweden.

The impact of the distribution in the soil volume of two farm manures on the net mineralization and immobilization processes of nitrogen were studied in an incubation experiment. Cattle slurry and broiler litter were placed in the soil with three procedures for incorporation including placement on top of the soil (TOP), in the middle of the soil (MID) and mixed homogenously with the soil (MIX). During the two weeks of incubation, few significant differences in net mineralization were seen between TOP, MID and MIX. However, there was a tendency that MIX led to a larger net immobilization of N than placement at one Point (TOP and MID). This is also the result in the literature.

The purpose of this essay was to find out what alcoholics themselves mean were the way out of their drinking abuse.The questions at stake are:· What kind of context did the interviewed live in before and after the turning Point?· How did the process of getting out of the alcohol abuse look like?· What different factors may have influenced the turning Point, the maintenance and the interviewee's choice to stop the abuse of alcohol?· Where there any other important occurrences that may have had an impact on their decision to stop drinking?For the investigation we have interviewed three women and five men. Our research also shows that the interaction between the alcohol and important individuals in their immediate surroundings are the absolute most important factor to stop using alcohol in a destructive way but also important when it comes to maintaining soberness..

In this master's thesis the problem of determining the uncertainty for an estimator of an unknown parameter is considered. The case we study is the estimation of gravity using a reversible pendulum. This involves the estimation of the Point where two regression lines intersect. The estimated gravity is a function the coordinates of this Point. One way to determine the uncertainty of this estimator is to use bootstrap methods.

The oral sensory ability in children can be assessed through test of intraoral stereognosis and two-Point discrimination. Currently, these two tests are not frequently used in clinical settings, and normative data are not always available. The aim of this study was to establish normative data for these two tests in children aged 5;6 to 7;0 years. Further, intention was to compare the results with respect to age and gender.
