The aim of the essay is to explore how so called ?safe spaces? are built, and the part that creativity can Play in this construction. The essay also explores the duality of idea-based social work that at the same time strives to support vulnerable groups and strives to make social and political changes. The essay has its empirical base in the RFSL Ungdom project ?Tusen bilder, tusen ord? (A thousand pictures, a thousand words).

The main purpose of this essay was to understand and discuss the problems the Swedishmunicipalities have when missing the profession in cultural preservation area. I have madetwo case studies where competence has been present in one and absent in the other. FurtherI intend to find out what material the Swedish municipalities needs in their work with theconservation of built environment.The first case describes Vallentunas main intersection and the adjustments needed toseparate it from the local rail road. It identifies what the municipality deems importantsuch as sight lines and access to the old church area. The ability to illuminate these itemshad not been possible without the knowledge and early participation of an expert in thefield of cultural resource management.The second case revolves around an old croft in Österåker that was subject for a plannedresidential area.

Pedagoger besitter många erfarenheter och kunskaper om barns olika lekformer. Det vi intresserat oss för är vilka tankar och erfarenheter pedagoger har på barns rollek. Syftet med detta examensarbete är att få en inblick i hur barn samspelar och kommunicerar med varandra och med vuxna i rollek. Vi vill även se om pedagoger engagerar sig, deltar och om rolleken används som ett pedagogiskt verktyg i verksamheten. Vidare har vi intresserat oss för kommunikationen i rolleken mellan barn och mellan barn och pedagoger.

This thesis aims to explore the use of costumed interpreters at museums. Firstly the thesis examines how extensivethe use of historical costumes is in Sweden, along with some international comparisons. Later on the differentways that the clothes are used is examined, and the costume as a resource for learning is discussed. In the lastpart of the thesis the ?function? of the costume is examined.

Under¬sökningen är en fallstudie som genomförts med hjälp av djupintervjuer med anställda från olika funktioner inom valt fallföretag. <br><br> Teoretiska perspektiv:<br>Vi har i vår uppsats använt oss av teori som grundar sig i CRM och behandlar flera olika områden inom ämnet kundlönsamhet ur följande teoretiska perspektiv: intäkter, kostnader, segmentering och organisation. <br><br> Empiri:<br>Com Hem startades under 1980-talet och är idag en av Sveriges främsta aktö¬rer på triple-Play-marknaden, vilket innebär en buntning av produkterna TV, bredband och IP-telefoni. Branschen är i en tillväxtfas och befinner sig under ständig utveckling.

This thesis explores and compares the former armed opposition groups; Mozambique National Resistance (RENAMO), Front for the Liberation of Mozambique (FRELIMO) and South West Africa People's Organization (SWAPO) transformation processes into political parties. The first question addressed is; What factors determines the ability of these armed opposition groups to transform into political parties after armed conflict? The question is addressed through four structural and organizational factors; international involvement, the organizations ideology and identity, their ability to change inter-elite relationships and their ability to change collective incentive strategies. The second question addressed is if the transformations process can affect the parties? degree of institutionalization? The degree of institutionalization is examined through the party's adaptility, complexity, autonomy and coherence.

Den fria leken på förskolan är ett ämne som vi upplever har diskuterats mycket på senare tid. Studiens utgångspunkt har varit sex förskollärares uppfattningar om den fria lekens betydelse på förskolan. Metoden som använts har varit kvalitativ och utgått från öppna och ostrukturerade intervjuer med förskollärare på sex olika förskolor, i en kommun i Västra Götalands län. Genom intervjuerna har vi studerat på vilket sätt den fria leken används i verksamheten samt hur stort utrymme den får i relation till styrda aktiviteter. Vi har även undersökt vilken roll förskollärare har i leken samt vilka positiva effekter den har.Resultatet av studien visar att förskollärarna ser fri lek som en viktig del i förskoleverksamheten då den utvecklar många förmågor hos barnen, vilket även många författare belyser.

The purpose of the study was to find out whether the interaction between mentally disabled individuals and pet positively affects the individual and gives a feeling of well-being to the extent that this might be implicated in the psychologically disabled people?s everyday life in some form of rehabilitation measure. The study is qualitative and builds on an ethnographic design. Data collection was performed through six observations, six interviews and reflections. Interviews were also conducted with relatives and assistants for greater opportunity for follow-up questions, and descriptions of the situation.

Tidigare forskning visar att barn, efter förlusten av en förälder, mår bra av att komma tillbaka till rutinerna i förskolan, där barnet hela tiden ges möjlighet till lek, något som är en central del i barnets bearbetning av sorgen.Vårt syfte med studien är att ta reda på hur förskolan uppfattar att de arbetar med och stödjer, samt tror att de skulle arbeta och stödja, barn som förlorat en förälder. Vi vill även ta reda på vilken hjälp de kan ta in om pedagogernas stöd och kunskap inte räcker till. Slutligen vill vi se om det finns handlingsplaner för situationer som dessa i förskolorna.I studien använde vi oss av empiriska undersökningar i form av informella intervjuer. Urvalet bestod av fem pedagoger på olika förskolor i en kommun. Tre av dessa pedagoger har, i sitt arbete, mött ett barn som förlorat en förälder.Resultatet visar på att pedagoger anser att leken är en viktig del i barns bearbetning, men att det måste vara barnet som tar initiativet till denna lek och även till samtal kring förlusten.

This paper aims to investigate how human beings uses food to found an identity, with regards to how social class affects their choice of food and if trends Play a part when it comes to cooking and purchasing food. The paper applies theorist Pierre Bourdieu's concepts such as habitus, capital and field.The main part of the material is composed of four interviews with seven informants; all of which is middle class. The paper also looks at how lifestyle, taste and attitudes to consumption are used when the informants build identity. The empirical part is split into three main subjects, where I first seek to find each informants food habits. What do they eat, and what do they not eat?It showed that a large part was due to their varied lifestyles, however generally speaking the day to day meals should be quick while meals during the weekends could take longer and also cost more.

Det här examensarbetet utfördes från februari till mitten av april, våren 2010 på företaget Junebud. Jag arbetade efter hypotesen att en stark närvaro på sociala medier har en positiv effekt på aktiviteten på spelets hemsida samt för att få nya spelare att hitta till spelet. Spelet som marknadsfördes heter MilMo och är ett socialt massivt multiPlayer spel för barn och ungdomar, som är gratis att spela. Om spelaren vill få tillgång till extra material kan han/hon betala en mindre summa pengar men något köptvång föreligger ej för att endast spela. För att genomföra marknadsföringen på de sociala medierna valdes fyra stycken nätverk på Internet ut; Facebook, Deviantart, MySpace och Youtube.

The Italian mafia groups in particularly have been operating in almost every country in Europe and have exploited the possibilities offered by the EU. The increase of organized crime in Europe has created a demand for EU to step up their actions against the organized crime.The purpose of this essay is to investigate exactly how the significant EU is has been in battling organized crime in Italy.

The aim of this paper is to elucidate and analyze history teacher's didactic choices in the conflict between unequal educational materials and the requirements of equality in the curriculum of Swedish secondary school. The empirical data consists of interviews with five secondary school history teachers, observations of their lessons as well as analysis of their tests. The starting point was to investigate teachers' didactic work in the role as a bridge between the non-equal historiography presented in textbooks in history and the curriculum?s demands for equality. Three different approaches have been observed in the teachers' didactic work when considering gender perspective into their teaching: that women become extensions in a male-dominated historiography; that another part of the story is presented when a gender perspective is considered; and that the gender perspective is included in history teaching and becomes an integral part of all the content of the subject.Several of the teachers acknowledged that gender equality is less prioritized than the courses core content and related assessment criteria.

Film is a medium which is mainly used for entertainment. It is a medium that is constantly expanding, and beside from it being a relaxing activity it can also be used for educational purposes. This is an aspect of film that should be valued, since it has the possibility to engage, educate and move its viewers. This is a study which aim is to analyze how employees within the care of disabled in Umeå have perceived educational movies. The movies that the staff has watched are a part of a basic training program, which all employees are required to fulfill.
