The importance of daylight for humans has been known for a rather long time. Applying this knowledge in the science of urban planning is not very common, at least not in Stockholm, Sweden. Living in a country far from the equator with great differences between daylight and darkness during the year, daylight gets even more important for our wellbeing. This study aims to highlight the subject of daylight planning and contribute to the discussion about how to include daylight in the process of urban planning. By critically observing a new built district in Stockholm and applying guidelines of how to use daylight planning, this paper shows how important it is to include daylight planning early in the process.

This report is focusing on problems with introducing standard enterprise resource Planning systems (ERP) in businesses. A study has been carried out on a service and support department at a Swedish heat metering company, SVM North Node. The study aims to help the company become a better customer in choice and customization of a new ERP system. We make a description of the department studied and the work carried out there, on the basis of learning, knowledge and cooperation. As a final point we present some ideas on how computer systems could support their work, hoping that this will result in them making adequate demands on a new ERP system..

We were assigned to do this master thesis by Husqvarna AB who at the time for this thesis just had implemented a new material and production Planning system called Replenishment system. Husqvarna AB wanted us to examine the effects of their new Planning system to see if it was profitable or not. Husqvarna AB had for a time considered their delivery and supplier service to bee their biggest problem and they wanted to solve this problem by improving the communication with all involved actors in the logistic chain, which they hoped would result in a better mix of products in their warehouses. The aim of this report was therefor to analyze eventual effects for Husqvarna AB when changing from a traditional material- and production planing system to a more information intensive one. The result of this report showed effects on decreasing administrational routines and improved flexibility and lead-times.

Vikaholm är en fantastiskt trevlig plats med många fina natur-, kultur-, och rekreationsvärden. Platsen gränsar till stadsdelen Teleborg i södra Växjö. Examensarbetet beskriver hur det är möjligt att inrätta bostadsbebyggelse i ett sådant område utan att förstöra dess stora värden. För att skapa en större konkurrenskraft och hantera det allt hårdare affärsklimatet väljer många företag idag att implementera Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, dessa heltäckande affärssystem integrerar alla verksamhetens delar med en gemensam databas och skapar nya möjligheter. För att kunna utvärdera vilken nytta en organisation får av ett sådant system behövs det lämpliga analytiska ramverk. Trots att det finns ramverk för denna typ av utvärdering, råder brist på lämpliga utvärderingsverktyg. En ny utveckling på marknaden för dessa system är webbaserade ERP-system. Systemet köps istället som en tjänst, där systemet finns på en server hos tjänsteleverantören.

The purpouse of this study is to find out how and if a Content Managment System (CMS) can benefit from applied User Experience Design (UX). A work project has been executed where a client wanted the students to create a user friendly CMS for adding content to a global hotel review site. A prototype of a CMS was created based on literature studies about UX and CMS. The prototype of the user friendly CMS was then tested through user tests and interviews with key users. The work with this report has been focused on developing a methodology model for control at purchase. The methodology model covers parts classification, dispatching systems, batch shaping and more. The aim with the methodology model is that it will be used as an aid for a cost effective material planning to increase the value for customer.The work covers also a description of the present situation and the purchase process at Company X. Six parts have been applied, two from each class (A, B and C), in the methodology/model. The parts that have been applied are included in the flow between Company X and their supplier Company Y.Data have been collected trough literature studies, interviews and the company?s business system.

Introduction: Taxes result in a big cost for corporations which create an incentive for tax planning. Previous studies have demonstrated that it's the management team and the board of directors that influences to what extent the corporation is going to tax plan. We want to study underlying factors for how the composition of the groups affect the tax planning in a corporation based on four demographic traits; sex, nationality, age and duration.Purpose: The purpose with the study is to explain how the composition of the management team and the board of directors affect the corporations tax planning.Method: The study has a deductive approach where theories about the composition of the board of directors and the management team have been used to derive hypothesis. The empirical material has been collected from Nasdaq OMX Stockholm. Two different measures have been used to calculate the corporations tax planning.Results and Conclusions: The result of the study demonstrates that the composition of both the board of directors and the management team has an effect on corporations tax planning.

Planning for building projects has been studied with the aim of identifying how three week planning appears in the construction industry today.A case study has been conducted in Navisworks Simulate to assess whether the software is suitable to connect the task schedule with the BIM model to create a 4D model. 4D models are used for performing 4D construction simulation to visualize the project. In order to use the benefits of the model, investment in equipment and software is required. This means higher costs for the companies.

Syftet med arbetet är att belysa och diskutera rättviseaspekten i fysisk planering under 2000-talet utifrån ett antal begrepp och kriterier om rättvisa relaterade till kontexten för fysisk planering. Vidare är syftet att tillämpa dessa begrepp och kriterier i en analys av rättviseaspekten i det pågående planeringsprojektet Östra Kvillebäcken i centrala Göteborg. Arbetet inleds med avsnittet Rättvisa i samhällsbyggandet som tar upp rättvisa som begrepp, hur rättvisa kan kopplas till staden samt det svenska systemet och planerarnas roll. Ambitionen med avsnittet är att ge bakgrund och förståelse för begreppet rättvisa och för hur planeringen påverkas av det system som byggts upp i landet samt vilken möjlighet planerare har att styra utvecklingen mot ett mer rättvist utfall. Efter det här följer en forskningsöversikt ifrån vilken de kriterier som används för att analysera Östra Kvillebäcken hämtas. Där på följer arbetets undersökning som består av en fallstudie där platsens kontext analyseras och en innehållsanalys görs. Analysen av platsens kontext syftar till att ge en förståelse för platsen och dess förutsättningar.
