Avfall på byggarbetsplatsen : statistik som hjälper platschefen
The purpose of this report is to find a model of statistics for construction and demolition waste, which makes it useful for the local manager at the building site. The intention with the model is that it will be used as a support of the local manager, to direct his project towards reduced strain of the environment. The model will also be used to make it easier to control that the claims from authority and aims for the environment are achieved. To familiarise with the subject waste handling within the building and construction sectorI have done a literature search. I have also been studying rules and regulations regarding the waste handling.

The design of buildings is today considered to be crucial for obtaining sustainable development. Research concerning sustainable building is considered to be a Swedish area of strength and development projects as Hammarby Sjöstad and Bo01 are often pointed out as Swedish prime examples of sustainable building. Some still argue though, that that these projects should not be presented as sustainable, due to its incompetence to meet their objectives. This contradiction has attracted my curiosity. By doing this study I hope to gain understanding about the difficulties Bo01 and Hammarby Sjöstad are surrounded with and its significance for sustainable development.
Prim, Stadsförnyelse i Barcelona
This final project discusses renewal and upgrading of the area of Prim. It is
discussed how this industrial area can be an attractive neighborhood with a
varied range of services and commercial trade.
Prim is located 2km north-east of the center of Barcelona. The area boarders to
a deep railway valley that historically has separated Prim from its neighboring
districts. At present there is almost no housing, services or commercial trade
within the area and the industry is discontinued or the existing industrial
buildings are derelict. There is also a lack of green recreational areas.

In Scandinavia today many old harbour areas are developed into residential and
commercial areas. For example are both Helsingborg city and Malmoe city in
south Sweden planning to restructure some of their harbour areas to accommodate
shops, schools, offices, residences et cetera. In Copenhagen in Denmark new
plans for Nordhavn is also underway. In almost every plan proposal to
redevelope an old harbour area the harbour activities are set a side to give
room for new development. In Reykjavik, however, this has not been the case.

Flera svenska kommuner använder sig av den amerikanska professorn Richard
Floridas teori om den kreativa klassen och ?creative cities? i sin
marknadsföring. Syftet med mitt kandidatarbete är att undersöka om svenska
kommuner är kreativa enligt Floridas teori. En jämförande fallstudie har gjorts
där tre kommuner som använder sig av Florida i sin marknadsföring har
undersökts. Kommunerna är Södertälje, Botkyrka och Ronneby.
Ekonomi i Passivhus : En studie av två verkliga byggnader
The aim of this report was to investigate the economy of passive houses. The work was focused on economy in total and on the economy of different components such as windows, insulation, heat exchanger and the air tightness of the climate shell. No attention was paid on the comfort factor or to the impacts on the environment.Two houses, aspiring to be passive were chosen; A big one and a small one. Hence, comparisons considering the size of the building have been possible to do as well.The comparisons were made by calculating ?break even? between two concepts; passive and BBR- concept.

Ytterligare preciserat så handlar uppsatsen om intraurbana persontransporter
och kollektiva lösningar på detta.
Rapporten är en jämförande fallstudie och har som mål att belysa hur olika
kommuner motiverar när en större kollektivtrafiksatsning skall göras. Innan
fallen presenteras ges en bakgrund i några av de problem och förutsättningar
som finns inom ämnet.

Förslag på hur Arkitekturskolan kan ritas och programmeras om för att bli en offentlig byggnad i staden som ger mycket tillbaka till Stockholms invånare. Form och program är utformat att ge alla som befinner sig i och utanför byggnaden en ny syn på staden där inte bara gatuplan är offentligt och takplan är privat. Runt byggnaden slingras sig en offentlig promenad som leder upp till det öppna takplanet med bra utsikt över staden. Byggnaden har delats upp för att skapa torg på plan 2. GA är en offentlig plats likt en galleria 2.0..
Dags att trappa upp tillgängligheten för äldre
Uppsatsen riktar sig till att öka tillgängligheten
för äldre i Galgamarken, ett område som
pekas ut som ett typisk exempel för problemet.
Problemet är mycket aktuellt med en befolkning
vars andel äldre ökar. Enligt regler fastslagna av
Förenta nationerna, regler som Sverige beslutat
att följa, så ska svenska myndigheter planera
för samhällets svagaste grupper. Teori av goda
lösningar som möjliggör god tillgänglighet gås
igenom och olika forskares synpunkter ger en
bred bild på hur lösningarna kan utformas.
Genom användning av stråkstrategi så
identifieras stråk med särskilt behov av
åtgärder. Åtgärdas de utvalda stråken så kommer
den generella tillgängligheten öka på
Galgamarken. Situationen mellan teori och
praktiskt utförande analyseras.
Stadens Mellanrum - en studie av icke-platser
Arbetet studerar de odefinierade platserna i staden. Det handlar om de
överblivna och övergivna platserna, som står i kontrast till de planerade och
funktionsbestämda. Dessa platser kan till synes sakna funktion och användning i
staden men så behöver fallet nödvändigtvis inte vara. Beroende på vilket sätt
man vill framhäva dessa odefinierade platser i staden används olika
definitioner.
En litteraturstudie har gjorts på fyra olika författares definitioner av
icke-platser. Vilka tänkbara förklaringar finns det för uppkomsten av dessa
platser i staden och har det funnits motsättningar? Genom litteraturen
framkommer det några tänkbara förklaringar och som tas upp och presenteras.

This report will show the energy usage of Hotel Princess in Sandviken, Sweden. When the hotel changed owner an examination of the hotels heating, ventilation and sanitary systems were done. The report showed flaws in the ventilation system, and is why the new owner wanted a closer look at the energy use of the hotel. The original building was built in the 1930s and two major extensions have been built, one in the 1950s and the most recent in the 1980s. An assumption made is that the building parts were built to the restrictions during the time. Activities on the hotel include sleep over, conference, night club, massage and swimming in the hotels pool section.

Many companies presume that any certain project will succeed, a presumption that leads companies not to anticipate risks involved in a project. In companies today there is seldom time for evaluation or moderation of a project, in order to have time for evaluation there is a great need for an adequate planning of the project.IntentThe intention with this study is to create a model for planning, budgeting and evaluation of projects within consultancy companies.MethodWith the help of interviews and discussions within the group Hamnar och Byggkonstruktioner at Sweco has evidence to present a proposal on planning, budgeting and monitoring been developed.ResultsA model has been developed to ease for consultancy companies to plan, budget, monitor and evaluate projects.
