To effectively manage a forest resource for both economic and other values good planning is required. The problem is complex since you want to know which forest to cut and when. Often a hierarchical planning structure is applied, including strategic (long-term), tactical, (medium-term) and operational level. Today SCA Forest is one of few forestry companies in the northern Sweden with an integrated forest wood supply and industry. The goals of the company are to supply their own industries with wood and to manage the resources of the forest through a long-term perspective with satisfactory profitability.

Självgående fordon hos Sandvik do Brasil

At the plant of Sandvik do Brasil in São Paulo there is a need for improving the transport of inserts between the plant building and the stock building. The idea is to install a system with an Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) to take care of this transportation. The purpose of this report is to present which demands there are on the system and to find the best solution according to the demands.To conclude this work a study was made of the plant and the AGV technology was examined. Several providers of AGV solutions were contacted to get information about prices and detailed solutions.The conclusion was that the most suitable system for this application is a small unit load vehicle using inductive wire as guiding system..

Markanvisning och markanvisningsavtal : definitioner och innebörd i ett antal Stockholmskommuner

The purpose with this thesis is to investigate how a number of municipalities in Stockholm County proceed when they allocate land and establish land allocation agreements for exploitation, and to investigate how a number of municipalities define land allocations and land allocation agreements on the occasion of public land sales. The aim of this thesis is to describe the allocation methods a municipally uses when they offer land for sale and to give an insight regarding which correlation different land allocation agreements have in different municipalities.Methods used are: (1) a literature review where the underlying theory for land allocations and land allocation agreements have been studied; (2) a questionnaire have been done to complement the literature review and to provide a picture of how a number of different municipalities in Stockholm County use and apply land allocations; (3) an agreement audit have been done to see the extent to which different agreement terms exists.Responses from the questionnaire, together with the definitions form different municipality?s land allocation policies and the literature review, resulted in a definition of a land allocation and a land allocation agreement. The agreement audit shows that agreement terms regarding: price or price indication, location, cost-sharing and planning costs are the most common agreement terms within the municipalities we have investigated.The study suggests that there is some confusion regarding land allocation agreements and the meaning of these, that became apparent when agreements where gathered, despite a careful explanation that it was land allocation agreements we requested, we still got exploitation agreements and purchase agreements. Therefore, we consider it necessary with an official definition of a land allocation agreement well anchored in the Planning and Building act together with the rules of development agreements or other legislation.That there is a lack of research within the subject becomes evident when reports, essays, and other literature generally refers so the same sources.Keywords: land allocation, land allocation agreement and public land sales.

Örtagårdsparken i Rosengård : tillbakablick och framtidsperspektiv

Malmö Kommunala Bostadsbolag Fastighets AB owns and administrates Örtagården housing estate in Rosengård which is a characteristic million programme housing area. Örtagården is densely populated which naturally creates an environment that is exposed to wear and tear. The area is today undergoing a change where new proposals and strategies are to be designed for further development of the inner yards. MKB also wishes to develop the park area which is centrally situated in Örtagården. The purpose of this study was to make an analysis of the development of Örtagårdsparken from when it was planned and constructed up until the state it is in today.

Nya bostäder i norra Ljungby stad

Examensarbetet syftar till att utreda möjligheterna till ett nya bostäder i norra delen av Ljungby stad. Det utgörs av ett komplext och splittrat område som består av såväl bostäder, industrier, avslutade deponier med mera. Metodiken består av inventering, analys och planförlag. Inventeringen skapar grund för analysen som ska utkristallisera vilka områden som kan vara lämpliga för nya bostäder ? det vill säga planförslaget. Med ett andra ord ett traditionellt examensarbete inom ramen för programmet för Fysisk planering. Ljungby växer långsamt.

SANNINGENS ÖGONBLICK En komparativ undersökning av ett stadsbiblioteks och en byggvaruhandels arbete med att möta sina besökare

The purpose of this thesis is to discuss how a Swedish public library approaches their costumers. I will show how a library interacts with their costumers compared to a business, which has a different economic work frame, a building materials supplier. My aim is to pinpoint differences and explore new methods for the library in order to improve their service.The theoretical frame of the thesis is based on Richard Norman's notion the Moment of truth. The moment of truth is the moment when a business has to convince their customer that they offer both the product, proficiency and service that the customer needs. Service encounters at two organizations have been observed and their differences and similarities compared.

Social hållbarhet inom fysisk planering

Social hållbarhet handlar om att skapa ett samhälle där alla människor kan leva sina vardagsliv utifrån sina egna behov. Det ska vara jämställt, tryggt och demokratiskt och finnas möjlighet för möten mellan människor. Samhällsstrukturen spelar en avgörande roll för hur våra vardagsliv ser ut och den fysiska planeringen har ett ansvar när det gäller att forma socialt hållbara miljöer. I arbetet analyseras begreppet social hållbarhet och hur planeraren kan arbeta med frågor som rör jämställdhet, medborgardeltagande, mötesplatser och trygghet. Olika metoder som ortsanalys och sociala konsekvensbeskrivningar beskrivs och ett exempel på hur en kommun kan arbeta med den sociala aspekten i planeringen ges, i det här fallet Karlshamn kommun. I den avslutande delen diskuteras utvecklingen av orten Asarum norr om Karlshamn, sett utifrån den fysiska planerarens roll och ett socialt hållbarhetsperspektiv. Arbetet vänder sig främst till de som studerar eller arbetar med samhällplanering av något slag, men kan även vara av intresse för kommuner eller den enskilde som vill veta mer om sociala aspekter inom fysisk planering..

Förslag till omgestaltning av Hoglands park

Det här planförslaget för omgestaltning av Hoglands park har strävat efter att göra området till en fungerande offentlig plats. En sådan bör inbjuda till möten och diskussion, vilket den nya parken också skulle göra i ökad grad genom att fler målpunkter för fler människor införs. Planförslaget har även sökt ett mer varierat rumsligt uttryck, främst exemplifierat genom gröna rum med olika grader av öppenhet och slutenhet. Placeringen av en byggnad med portalfunktion i parken har tillsammans med en tydlig entré också syftat till att skapa tydliga rumsliga avgränsningar. Tydlighet har även varit ett nyckelbegrepp för den nya vägstrukturen, vilken ändrat fokus från öst-västlig riktning till nord-sydlig, och på så sätt stärkt Hoglands parks position som vistelserum.

The project is operated by the building companies NCC, Skanska, PEAB and JM, the Swedish Building Industry and the Swedish Environmental Institute IVL. The purpose of the project is to create a common environmental assessment system for the entire building industry and with the help of this system phase out the use of especially harmful properties from building products.In a large sense BASTA works like this; On the BASTA web site there is a database, to which a supplier can register the company and the company’s products. Only those products with a substance content that fulfil the demands of the BASTA system, is to be registered. As it is the supplier himself that carries out the registration of the company and the company’s products to the system, the BASTA-organisation annually controls that the companies that are registered in the database, fulfils BASTA’s demands.Since NCC is one of the companies that operates BASTA, BASTA is probably going to be the environmental assessment system that is recommended for the company in the future.

Att lära av varandra? : En undersökning om arbetslag utifrån ett lärarperspektiv

The purpose of this study is from a teacher?s perspective to examine how schoolteachers experience the possibilities of learning from each other within their work team and to shed some light on how teachers believe that cooperation affects their ability to learn and improve on a daily basis. My research questions are: What is the general discussion among the teachers concerning daily capacity building from enhanced teamwork? How important is well-functioning cooperation between co-workers for learning and daily capacity building? What are the prerequisites for a well-functioning learning situation within the work team?The study is based on five qualitative interviews with teachers within the same school but from different teaching backgrounds based on what grade they teach, what subjects they teach, and they belong to different work teams within the school. The interviews are semi-structured.The results have been analysed from a perspective based on the theories of organisational pedagogy and learning organisations.The results implies that the work teams does not function as a forum for exchanging experiences and learning from each other.

En strategisk planeringsmodell: Att införa medborgarkontor i ett folkbibliotek med hjälp av strategisk planering

This Masters thesis is concerned with the complex planning process of setting up a citizen bureau in a public library. The aim is to find out how citizen bureaux are designed and to suggest a simplified model of strategic planning. The planning process is studied from a business perspective in the library context, and this perspective is also used to study citizen bureaux and their written plans elsewhere. A combination of qualitative methods are used: observations, focus group discussions and interviews. Observations in the public library showed a great need for an environmental analysis as well as structure to the planning process.

Förtätning ur ett socialt perspektiv

Urban densification as a planning strategy is of interest in the planning context of today. It is also seen as a part of the sustainable development. Urban densification as a concept is commonly used in the discussion of a sustainable development. Thus, the question about urban densification is an important challenge in the current planning context. A deeper understanding of the process which urban densification has developed from is necessary, since planners then will be more able to manage this challenge.

Kulturmiljö i teori och praktik - Praktisk tillämpning av teori i exemplet Augerum

Kulturmiljöns roll i planeringen utreds i detta examensarbete där begreppen och dess tillämpningar förklaras och teoretiska och metodiska aspekter presenteras. Analysresultatet används för att åskådliggöra nådda slutsatser som bildar underlag för den avslutade delen av arbetet som utgörs av att pröva resultaten praktiskt. Teori- och metoddelarna visar på hur kulturmiljöer är karaktärsskapande och ger identitet till platsen. Vilket på så sätt gör dem till en resurs för framtiden. Då kulturmiljövärden tas tillvara genom hänsyn i planeringen kan de berika och vara en tillgång för människor och samhälle, de bildar en av de grundläggande utgångspunkterna för olika planerade förändringar. Det krävs att dessa värden tidigt inryms i planeringsprocessen samt att flera perspektiv får komma fram för att de ska bilda en värdefull utgångspunkt.

The reports purpose is to look into how other public authorities carry out public purchase of consultants and entrepreneurs in the urban planning area. The goal is to come up with suggestions of how Eskilstuna municipality public administration for urban planning can improve its purchasing process in this field in order to minimize the risk where a consultant or entrepreneur files an appeal against the decision of awarding a contract to another rival. The appeal can be filed to the county administrative court.The public administration for urban planning can do its purchases through the model of "lowest price" or "economically most favorable" for them. When using "economically most favorable", the department can value a number of soft parameters by giving them points and the offer which gets most points can be rewarded the right to sign a contract.
