Products and services have for a long time competed with their brands. For some time now, cities have begun to compete with each other to attract visitors and other stakeholders to come to their town. It is important that the citizens feel as they are a part of the message that the city sends out in its communication.Cities are today working actively with their brands, much like regular companies, in order to create the profile and image in order to be competitive against other cities and places. Cities and places are part of a dynamic process which includes both positive and negative events. These events might have an impact on the brands, and therefore it is a necessity to be able to react on these events to make the most of positive things and deal with the negative in a way that minimizes the effects on the brand.Citybranding as a research field is quite new.
Investeringsbeslut för småskalig vindkraft : en fallstudie
Wind power is one of the sources of renewable energy which has to be developed further in order to lessen our dependence on non renewable sources of energy. It's mainly oil and coal which have to be replaced by green energy. Wind power is already established in many countries, for example Germany, The United States of America and Denmark but it has to be continually developed and expanded to meet the needs of the growing energy consumption in the world. During the last few years many types of small wind turbines have appeared on the market. These small wind turbines are an alternative to the big wind turbines or power generators which demand huge sums of investment money.A new target group can now buy the small wind turbines in order to cover their own usage of electricity.

Syfte:. Uppsatsens syfte är att utreda vad som har gjort företaget Medscand Medical framgångsrikt och med denna kunskap som grund utveckla lämplig framtida strategi för företaget. Fokus i strategiformuleringen rör hur företaget skall attrahera, stimulera och utveckla innovationer. Metod: En kvalitativ metod har använts där primärdata i from av intervjuer är den mest betydande informationskällan. Slutsatser: Denna uppsats har med vald teori och empiri analyserat Medscand Medicals framgångsfaktorer och utifrån dessa utvecklat lämplig framtida strategi för företaget.
Ideation through visualization : ? The use of Storyboard as a preparing tool
ProblemIdeation in group is used by many, often as a tool for creating new and innovative ways to solve problems and creating change. Groups may have difficulties to move from the phase of inspiration to the phase of ideation, if information and ideas aren?t defined in the team.The authors claim that this process can be helped by providing practical tools that are adapted and tested for the purpose. The reason is to foster concretization of volatile thoughts in form of inspiration and information.PurposeThe study aims to investigate how Storyboard as a tool can be used to concretize thoughts and inspiration in a group before ideation.MethodIn order to collect empirical data the authors along with four other facilitators, conducted 24 DO TANK:s for the innovation contest Smart Lunch. The empirical data where then analyzed using theories related to the topic.

In this study I have examined how narrative techniques can be used to promote the reading value and readability in information. My focus has been on the communication-agency Mandoly?s information-brochure which function is to inform other companies about their own potential for development in collaboration with Mandoly. The purpose with this study is to examine how it is possible to increase the reading value in order to engage the target group. In my study I have used four methods: analysis of Mandoly?s old information-brochure, literature studies, a qualitative interview, and an user test.

The use of Internet and Internet marketing has also increased during the last years and this paper examines the combination of these two areas, sponsorship and Internet marketing. A survey that examines the websites owned by companies who also are sponsors, answers the following problem:How do companies communicate their sponsorship on their own homepages?The purpose of this study is to describe how companies use their homepage to communicate their sponsorship.
Yrkesroll i förändring? : En studie av ett antal statsanställda arkivariers upplevelser av införandet av en verksamhetsbaserad arkivredovisning
The aim of this thesis is to examine the archivist's professional role in public authorities and discuss if, and in what way, the profession is effected by the new swedish process oriented archival description system. The study focuses on swedish authorities and does not make any international comparisons with other institutions. Neither does it investigate archivists workingin the private sector, but centers on public institutions.The survey is performed in five swedish public authorities, using interviews and observations. Grounded theory is used as a method initially in the purpose of keeping an open mark towards the object of study. The initial results led on to questions about how well the archivists perceived that communication within the authorities served, and how this in turn prepossessed their work situation and the professional roles in which they found themselves.
Innovationsprocess inom räddningstjänsten : Utveckling av ett hjälpmedel som kan rädda liv
Rökdykning inom räddningstjänsten är ett av de farligaste arbetsförhållandena som för tillfället råder i Sverige, och med den mängd svårigheter som de ofta stöter på under utryckningar är det en bra organisation att göra en innovationsprocess på. I detta examensarbete har en innovationsprocess tillämpas på räddningstjänstens arbetsmiljö för att därigenom se om en lösning på ett problem kunde ske. Målet var att utveckla en lösning som underlättar räddningstjänstens problem i skarpa lägen. Tillvägagångssättet delades upp i tre steg för att nå resultatet. Först söktes ett problem som valdes ut, men även en omvärldsanalys genomgicks för att få kunskap om de kringgående faktorerna. En idé-generering gjordes för att lösa detta problem, av idéerna skapades koncept som i största mån försökt fylla räddningstjänstens krav. I nästa steg valdes det koncept som ansågs bäst lämpad att lösa problemet, som sedan realiserades till en prototyp i steg nummer tre.
Marknadens påverkan på företags innovationsprocesser ? Innovation ur ett miljöperspektiv
I ett samhälle där miljöfrågorna tar allt större plats i media och i politiken växer miljömedvetenheten hos konsumenterna. Allt fler handlar ekologisk mat och återvinner i hemmet. Den ?gröna? marknaden är med andra ord en växande marknad där det finns möjligheten att kunna sälja ?gröna? produkter inom alla områden.Rapporten har syftat till att utreda de samband som finns mellan en ökad miljömedvetenhet hos marknaden och företags innovationsprocesser utifrån denna ökning. Rapporten bygger främst på resultat från intervjuer med två stycken företag, i denna rapport Ericsson och Vattenfall, men tar även med kortare resultat och analys från intervjuer med ytterligare sex stycken företag inom olika industrier.Rapporten visar på att just marknaden har en relativt liten påverkan.

Högläsning i förskoleklass : En studie om fem pedagogers arbete med högläsning
The purpose of this paper is to explore how masculinity and femininity are constructed in the magazine Veckorevyn, through a critical discourse analysis of 18 articles from six issues in 2011. This is done by using a variety of theories and previous research results, which is gender theory, the theory of late-modern society and media theory. The analysis shows that Veckorevyn depicts virility and feminine differently. Furthermore, pointing the results from the analysis that a change of manhood and womanhood takes place in the social practice. The selection of articles from the magazine also shows that Veckorevyn seems to promote gender equality. .
