Denna uppsats försöker besvara frågan om spanskans syntax efterlämnar spår i texter som översätts till svenska. Undersökningens hypoteser är två: dels att det finns syntaktiska skillnader mellan spanska och svenska, dels att en svensk text översatt från spanska kommer att skilja sig från en svensk originaltext, på grund av påverkan från spanskan. Analysmaterialet är hämtat ur en spansk roman och dess översättning, samt ur en svensk roman som används som jämförelsematerial. Hypoteserna prövas främst genom en metod som bygger på att meningar indelas i kärnsatser. Därefter klassificeras dessa som tillhörande en av sex satsgrader.

ABSTRACTToday's modern technological society is constantly evolving and house planning is one area that is constantly creating new technical solutions. By looking back at selected architectural eras during the 1900?s, the idea is to study and analyse three building structures in Gothenburg with a focus on quality and content in the urban space.In order to provide a background for the three selected areas, their history has been studied. The main question for the research is: how do different building structures affect the content and qualities in the urban space?The areas have been selected to represent three typical epochs in Swedish building history.

I denna uppsats presenteras en jämförande studie av tre gators rumsliga begriplighet (intelligibility). Studieobjekten är Trollebergsvägen, Karl XI-gatan och Öresundsvägen i Lund. Our essay is about the grammar structure that the participants in A- and B- level of a school in the middle of Sweden, in the subject, Swedish as a second language, process. We have collected written productions from an A-level group and a B-level group and made a comparison between them morphologically and syntactically according to the processability theory by Pienemann.Processability theory was applied to Swedish by Pienemann & Håkansson (1999), with five steps in syntax and four steps in morphology. It turned out that the B-level group had much higher processing level of grammar than the A level group and one of the reasons for this can be that grammar is explicitly taught during the first year of studying Swedish as a second language in the school we have chosen to study..

The aim of this Master's thesis is to explore how the localisation and the design affect the conditions for a school-media centre. A school-media centre is in this study a place where the students seek, find and evaluate information, discuss and exchange ideas. An active place for generating knowledge. The method applied in this study is "Space Syntax Analysis", a quantitative method with visual representation of the results. In the theoretical framework, space is the voids between walls, doors and ceiling, between furniture and bookshelves.

Denna rapport beskriver resonemanget kring framtagandet av en modul som tillåter användaren att, på ett lättanvänt sätt, skripta beteenden hos en redan existerande grafikmotor. Arbetsprocessen beskrivs steg för steg med definition av vad ett skript är, vad som ska kunna gå att skripta och vilka övergripande krav som ställs, design av tekniska lösningar, design av syntax, testning och till sist resultat. Resultatet varierade på de olika punkterna. Den underliggande tekniska lösningen blev lyckad då den uppfyllde kraven på modularisering, robusthet, flexibilitet och prestanda. Ur en tillämpbarhetssynpunkt blev resultatet även här tillfredsställande eftersom det visade sig vara fullt möjligt att skripta kloner på de tre försöksspelen (SkiiFree, BreakOut och Space Invaders) på ett sätt som kändes bra och rättfram.

Place is on the one hand a commonsense everyday word with diversely connotative meanings, and on the other a contested concept with different interpretations across a broad range of academic disciplines and discourses. This thesis researches theories of place and their implications for the theory and design practice of landscape architecture. Responding to problems of insufficient theoretical grounding and inconsistent use of the concept of place within the discipline presently, it argues the need for a theory of place better articulated in relation to landscape architecture. It seeks to contribute to such theory formation by drawing on ideas from related disciplines ? tracing diverse understandings of place beyond the commonsense meanings of the word and into the deeper reaches of place theory as tools to explain physical, social and spiritual aspects of the environment, and human relationships with it.

In this essay I have studied Aftonbladets portrayal of the Swedish businessman Jan Stenbeck and if the reporting changes before and after his death, and if so, in which ways. With help from a qualitative syntax analysis and a content analysis I studied my material about Stenbeck during the time period 2000-09-19 to 2004-09-19. In my quantitative analysis I studied 140 articles and in my syntax analysis I studied ten articles, five before and five after Stenbecks death. The theoretical perspectives that I applied in my study is Sigurd Allerns theory about tabloid papers novelty criteria and Adam Shehatas theory about Framing. Allerns theory describes what criteria the tabloid papers have on news and Shehatas theory about framing describes the political forces behind the news who wants to set their own agenda.

This paper constitutes graduate work at the Depart-ment of Urban and Rural Development at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. In this paper the urban structure of the million program suburb Husby in Stockholm is examined and what effect this structure has on social life in the area. The main objective of the study has been to, with the help of morphological analyses, examine how to create meeting places and make the Husby Park more accessiblefor the inhabitants in Husby. There has been a selection of analyses to ensure that Husby?s spatial relationship with surrounding suburbs as well as local spaces in the Husby Park is described.

This Master's thesis concerns the public library as a public meeting place. Our aim has been to find out why and how the library as a social meeting place has been discussed within the Swedish library community and if there has been a constant core in the discussions from the mid 70's and up to the present day. In order to do this we apply a place and space-perspective. The result of the study is that the core of the said discussions concerning the library as a meeting place is to create belongingness. This is the reason why the library community has an interest in the public library's function as a meeting place with the idea that people, by using the public library in that aspect, may experience a feeling of belonging to the society.

Denna uppsats handlar om hur de semantiska värdena kan överföras från ett koncept till en 3Dmodell. Detta innebär att vi tar de fysikaliska attribut av en karaktär i ett koncept bygger dessa i en 3-dimensionnell miljö. Med hjälp av genreteori kring semantik och syntax, gör vi oss medvetna om vad dessa begrepp kan innebära i den process som ingår i modellering av karaktärer. Vi bryter upp karaktärskonceptet i mindre beståndsdelar så som mjuka/hårda ytor och gör en granskning av karaktärernas semantiska drag. Därefter beskrivs den arbetsmetod som användes för att skapa 3D karaktären, där vi berör några av de viktiga punkterna i arbetsprocessen.
