The purpose of this paper is to contribute to better understanding of the importance of social support for physically active individuals' experiences of training residence following an injury.The physical activity's impact on public health is well known. Increased physical activity also increases the risk of suffering an injury related to physical activity. The importance of social support for those individuals who suffer an injury related to physical activity is where increased knowledge is needed.Four interviews to were conducted using a thematic interview guide with the following themes: The experience of the training break, two sides of social support, several ways of dealing with the experience, the design of the support, Varied support providers relationship changes. The most important property of the individual who gave support was an experience similar to that of the injured individuals underwent. That, combined with the close relationship with the individual who gave support was seen as crucial to the experience of the social support role for the injured individual.The Conclusion was that social support is important for the experience of a break from exercise due to an injury related to physical activity..
Hur mår dagens skolbarn? : En studie av skolbarns hälsa inom Umeå kommun.
The purpose of this survey was to map out the health pf some of the 11 and 12 years old children in the city of Umeå, as well as to find out what factors intend to influense the children´s health. A questionnaire was distributed in four 6th grade classes whitin the municipality of Umeå. Two of the schools were located in the city while two were located in near villages. This selection was decided in order to map out diffrences in health related to the children´s home environment. 80 pupils took part of this study.
Lönsam arbetsmiljö eller arbetsmiljö för lönsamhet? : en studie om effekter av systematiskt arbetsmiljöarbete
I studien undersöks hur införandet av ett systematiskt arbetsmiljöarbete kan påverka en organisation. Många arbetsplatser saknar ett fungerande systematiskt arbetsmiljöarbete, men alla företag är beroende av att personalen mår bra och får vara frisk och därmed kan vara effektiv på sitt arbete. För att öka läsarens förståelse för hur betydelsefullt det är att arbeta aktivt med arbetsmiljöarbete, vill vi visa organisationer hur de genom detta kan uppnå vinster, inte bara de av rent monetär art, utan även de som är av betydande vikt för arbetstagarna, såsom exempelvis ökad trivsel och bättre gemenskap. Studien är av kvalitativ karaktär med en interaktiv forskningsprocess. Urvalet har bestått av respondenter på Copy Syd AB.
Rörelshinder och ämnet idrott och hälsa : en kvalitativ studie om hur elever med rörelsehinder upplever ämnet idrott och hälsa
The aim of this study was to investigate how disabled pupils feel about school lessons in physical education. Previous studies in the area show that many disabled pupils think that this is a problem. Drawing on data from one-to-one semi-structured interviews with six students in the age of 11-14 years, this study focused on how students with disability cope with their impairments and physical activity in school. The interviewees? background displays a wide range of sport related activities and besides school the interviewees seem to be engaged in different sports associations on their leisure time.

This essay addresses and treats the employer's obligation to work adaptation for people with a physical disability according to discrimination law and the work environment law. Furthermore it also treats the employer's obligation to rehabilitation of employees that has a reduced working ability as consequence of their work. The essay also intends to investigate if there are any differences in the employer?s obligation to work adaptation when recruiting and the employer?s obligation to work adaption for an existing employment. In this work, there is a background chapter which describes the UN and the European Union's approach to work reduction ability and disability. Furthermore, there is a detailed description of the work environment law, the discrimination law, the social insurance code and the employment protection legislation.

In the society of today more and more employees are reported sick due to illness caused by their place of work. A lot of employees are stressed in their daily work and because of that they get mentally exhausted. These common occurrences are a part of the psycho-social work environment and it is the employers responsibility to avoid them. To rehabilitate an employee is often very expensive and takes a lot of time. Focusing on preventing illness in the work environment, instead of repair when illness is a fact, is an advantage both for the employers and the employees.The purpose with this essay is to illuminate the responsibility that the employers have to prevent psycho-social illness in the work environment.

The purpose with this essay is to give the reader an insight into and to describe the Danish Work Environment Act in its current wording and then compare it with the Swedish Work Environment Act. The first part of the essay describes the Work Environment Act and after that I compare with the Swedish Work Environment Act. At the end of the essay I will give my own thoughts of the result of this essay. I have chosen not to describe some of the chapters of the Act, for example the chapter about technical means and materials, because of the less importance for this essay and of my own interest. I have also chosen not to make mention of individual professions.

Background: Overweight and obesity has become an increasing health issue around the world, which leads to an increase of cardiovascular diseases. The reason for this is a lack of physical activity in combination with an overconsumption of unhealthy food. In the primary healthcare is the ordination of physical activity on prescription offered as a treatment, which is an important health preventive action. When clients get physical activity on prescription they are given the opportunity to receive health counseling as a way to motivate a change in an unhealthy way of living.Objectives: This study aim to examine the experience of the health counseling of individuals with overweight related problems, in combination with the prescription of physical activity.Method: Qualitative interviews were chosen as method. Nine individuals participated in the study, seven females and two males, who had been to health counseling at Friskvården in Värmland.

Possibly, it?s so important that the Occupational Health Service should focus even more on this.Aim: The aim was to investigate if there was a relationship between the level of cardio respiratory fitness and self-rated health, and between the level of cardio respiratory fitness and physical and mental ill-health.Method: The study was conducted using a quantitative method in the form of a cross sectional study. Data was collected from an Occupational Health Service, containing answers to a questionnaire on work environment and health and test values ??from completed cycle fitness tests.

Our purpose with this research is to highlight that there is a scope for increased value creation in the experience room during concerts, and how value-enhancing strategies can be a competitive advantage for different venues. In our investigation of this we have worded the following research question: How is the perceived customer value affected during a concert in the experience room and its Physical environment? With the background in this question we have identified three key concepts that we believe are the influence of the total concert experience which are; sensory experiences, interaction and identity. From these concepts we have drafted a number of propositions to test the reality by our empirical data collection. .
Fjelie - den nakna sanningen - en studie av Fjelie som plats, livsmiljö och omvärld
Levnads- och arbetsförhållanden har i mindre svenska småorter under det senaste seklet genomgått stora förändringar. Fjelie, den lilla byn i sydvästra Skåne var i början på seklet ett aktivt jordbrukssamhälle med egen järnvägsstation, lanthandel, smed, post och skola. Idag finns få spår av detta bevarat och Fjelie ger ett stillsamt intryck för den besökande. Syftet med examensarbetet är att undersöka Fjelies identitet och fysiska karaktär. Vidare undersöker vi möjligheter för att öka attraktiviteten och utvecklingen av byn.
Mötesplatser för samarbete : En studie om fysiska och virtuella mötesplatser för att främja utveckling av innovationer
This study focus on how physical and virtual meeting places may promote collaboration between firms and academia for the development of innovations. A case study was conducted on a meeting place that aims to support collaboration for the development of innovations in eHealth between different actors in the Linnaeus region. Data was collected through 6 interviews, whereas 3 with scientists and 3 with entrepreneurs. The data was analyzed based on a theoretical framework based on different perspectives on collaboration and networks, meetings and interaction and, physical and virtual meeting places.The results show that the purpose for collaboration is to be included in a network with other actors in the same area, gain increased knowledge of the subject area and to acquire new external contacts. Furthermore, in order to support collaboration, physical meeting places have to organize effective and interesting meetings.
Att undervisa och bedöma idrott och hälsa : Undervisning & betyg ur ett genusperspektiv
This essay has it purpose to view the assessment and grading in physical education in the Swedish school. Recently published reports from skolverket prove that boys have higher grades in the physical education than girls. Some mean that the reason of this is that the teachers don´t follow the curriculum. The problems we chose to examine are how much do teachers know how to use and connect the curriculum to their teaching? How much of the information and criterion in the curriculum do the teachers use to grade their pupils? And most importantly we wanted to examine why boys gets higher grades then girls, when the curriculum doesn?t seem to suit boys any better than girls.We have interviewed teachers in a certain district and our study shows that the teachers have good knowledge about the curriculum.
