Filmskapare har unika hantverksmässiga kunskaper om hur man påverkar mänskliga kognitiva processer för att uppnå önskade effekter på åskådaren. Om dessa kunskaper blev systematiserade med hjälp av empirisk forskning, skulle de kunna komma till nytta även inom vetenskapliga discipliner där man intresserar sig för människans kognition.I denna uppsats kombineras analysen av två filmsekvenser med ett experiment i vilket åskådarnas ögonrörelser filmades och personerna fick svara på frågor om sina intryck av filmen. Resultaten tyder på att människor framför allt blir medvetna om sådana intryck som liknar verkligheten, t.ex. karaktärers personlighet och beteende, snarare än sådant som rör filmens form. Dessa fynd diskuteras i ett allmänt kognitivt perspektiv och ytterligare empiriska undersökningar föreslås för att studera samspelet mellan filmen och åskådaren.Summary in English:Through their craft, film artists have unique insights into methods of influencing human cognitive processes to achieve desired impact on the spectator.

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka i vilken utsträckning de tre kursplanerna för matematik 1 (1a, 1b och 1c) samt den tillhörande ämnesplanen gick att tolka i form av kompetenser. Vidare jämfördes även kompetensfördelningen mellan matematik 1 och matematik A. Studien grundade sig främst i ramverket MCRF (Mathematical Competency Research Framework) som presenterar sex matematiska kompetenser, men vi tog även hänsyn till ytterligare sex kompetenser som återfinns i NCTM (The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics), KOM-projektet (Competencies and the Learning of Mathematics project) samt Adding It Up. Kursplanerna och ämnesplanen har granskats med hjälp av en kvantitativ textanalys där innehållet delats upp och kategoriserats till de olika kompetenserna enligt kompetensernas definitioner. Utifrån resultaten kan man säga att förekomsten av de totalt tolv kompetenserna är relativt jämnt fördelade inom matematik 1a, 1b och 1c.

The aim of this study was to develop and psychometrically evaluate an instrument for measuring the impact from chronic pain on daily life. Traditionally psychometric evaluation is done with parametric methods even if the items are ordinal data. In this study the instrument to be developed is solely based on ordinal data, and the psychometrically evaluation is done with both traditional methods (i.e. parametric statistics) as well as with non-parametric methods. These two different ways of psychometrically evaluation are then compared with each other.

One of the more elaborate ways of developing Thomas Kuhn?s theories in a more relativistic direction ismade by the philosopher Richard Rorty. Studiens syfte har varit att beskriva och tematisera två lärares reflektioner över en genomfördlektion i matematik. Som bakgrund till studien har elevtest, lärarnas intryck från sin lektionoch deras uppfattning om utveckling av verksamheten funnits. För att ta del av lärarnasreflektioner valdes kvalitativa intervjuer. Lärarna har reflekterat över hinder och möjligheterför att eleverna ska nå målen för lektionen, vilken betydelse undervisningen har och hurlärarna upptäcker elevernas förmågor och kunskaper. The aim of this study is to examine if Kenneth, a character in the novel Nyår by Stig Larsson, takes his ethical responsibility for one of the characters that appears in one section of the book, Ann. Nyår has often been related to morality. This study shows that Levinas philosophy of ethics is a supplement to the discussion of morality. According to Levinas, a person that acts in a non-moral way still can act in a righteous ethical way. With this starting point, it is possible to be close to the text and to bring out new perspectives on the novel.

This report concentrates on why more people do not choose an environmentally friendly car instead of a conventional car. To find this answer we have used theories that include decision - behavior and environment - philosophy. We have also made four surveys, which includes several interviews. The results of these interviews, together with the secondary data we have found, have been analyzed against the theories made by our choice. We have found that the stimulus that we have today isn?t enough to make more people choose an environmentally friendly car instead of a conventional car.

In recent years, Lean has been implemented in a variety of companies with focus areas that differ from the conditions that characterizes manufacturing. This transfer has contributed to fairly superficial results because companies almost exclusively focus on Toyotas methodology and not on the goal of Lean. The effort of transforming Lean from manufacturing to any organization requires a definition on a general level and a view of Lean as a system.
