Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the Western world. For Persons who have had a myocardial infarction the following rehabilitation and the group training, which is a part of this, are very important. The cardiac rehabilitation is designed to limit the physiological and psychological effects of cardiovascular disease. Purpose: This study aimed to examine how patients with cardiovascular disease experienced group training in relation to the International Classification of Function, Disability and Health, ICF. Method: A qualitative interview study was performed according to Malterud, inspired by the Grounded Theory method.

Socialstyrelsen rekommenderar rådgivning vid skadlig alkoholkonsumtion, t.ex. kort rådgivning.Syfte: Syftet med studien var att beskriva betydelsen av sjuksköterskans alkoholspecifika screening och rådgivning till vuxna personer som har ett riskbruk eller missbruk av alkohol.Metod: Studien var en systematisk litteraturstudie.

I wish to find out how political parties work in todays society and how the communication has changed over time. To get relevant results I will also see how the theories and empirics interact. The purpose is further to illustrate the new conservatives? campaign work from a senders point of view.Method/Material: I have chosen a qualitative method which consists of three interviews with relevant key Persons.

Purpose: To evaluate how a treatment period on four weeks in a warm climate influences physical function, condition and the patient's experience of the climate effect of patients with ankylosing spondylitis. Method: 10 Persons with a diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis went through four weeks of treatment on Centro Forestal Sueco, Marbella. The treatment consisted of both physical and theoretic lessons given of a rehabilitation team. All patients were examinated measured for physical function and condition before treatment, after two weeks and at the end of the treatment. To measure physical function, Timed-Stands Test, Timed Get Up and Go, The Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Metrology Index, Index of muscle function and functionestimitation of shoulder/arm were used.

SAMMANFATTNINGVårdpersonal möter patienter med självskadebeteende på olika avdelningar inom sjukvården. Vårdpersonalen har ofta svårt att bemöta denne patientgrupp eftersom de trots allt vårdar patienterna efter bästa förmåga ändå skadar sig igen. Detta väcker frustration och negativa känslor som vrede och mindre sympati för dessa patienter. Oftast är det unga kvinnor som lindrar sin ångest med att skada sig själva medan unga män oftare väljer att vara våldsamma eller aggressiva. Syftet med studien var att belysa vårdpersonalens uppfattning och bemötande av patienter med självskadebeteende.

Serial killers are present in most Media today: TV-shows, books, magazines, news shows and music. Research about them has been made in many fields, such as criminology, psychology and psychiatry. There is also research about the serial killer as a cultural being. In my paper I have looked into the serial killer in fiction. I have chosen to compare two novels that deal with the serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer.

The purpose of our paper was to understand the motivators that kept the social workers within the profession. Social workers' have a profession that, to the greatest extent, means high working load and difficult problematic issues. On the basis of this starting point we asked us why so many social workers still choose to remain within the profession for several years. The purpose of our paper is to understand what motivates the social workers to stay within their profession. To understand which are the motivators, we decided to use the theory salutogeent perspective with Aaron Antonvsky's sense of coherence.

We came across the discussion about the so-called duty to report (14 kap 1 § SoL) and we found some previous research, showing that preschool teachers are hesitant to report, and that they want real evidence that children are being mistreated, even though the duty to report clearly states that they have to report as soon as they suspect that a child is being mistreated. Our purpose became to study what tendencies and conditions preschool teachers and principals, placed in the municipalities of Hässleholm and Kristianstad, have to fulfil their duty to report according to the social services act, when there is a well founded suspicion that a child is being mistreated.  We split the purpose into the following research questions:   Do local guidelines about how preschool teachers should act when suspecting that a child is being mistreated exist, and are they being followed? To what degree does the staff has knowledge about these guidelines? How do preschool teachers experience the treatment from colleagues, principals and social welfare officers when they´ve done or wanted to do a report? How do preschool teachers experience the reactions of a report from custodians? We did conversational interviews with two principals, one from the municipality of Hässleholm, and one from the municipality of Kristianstad. We also made focusgroup interviews with the staff, three Persons each from one of their respective preschools. Our conclusion is that preschool teachers are unwilling to report mistreatment.

Abstract Idag är litteratur som påstås beskriva sanna händelser mycket populär, framför allt bland yngre läsare. Ofta skildrar denna litteratur ett extraordinärt människoöde som kryddas med inslag av våld, sex och olika övergrepp. Det är en Persons subjektiva sanning som berättas, ofta av en journalist. Ett begrepp som ofta används för att beskriva sådan litteratur där fakta och fiktion blandas är faktion eller faktionslitteratur.   Läsning av faktion har naturligtvis blivit allt vanligare även i skolan där många lärare nöjer sig med att eleverna intresserat läser denna litteratur. Problemet är dock att många av dessa yngre och oerfarna läsare helt okritiskt håller allt det de läser för sant.

The purpose of this masters thesis is to study two subject gate-ways within the field of Swedish higher education and academic research, concerning structuring and selection of Internet resources to facilitate information retrieval for their target groups, and also to study two co-operation projects in the same field, one national and one European, to see how the co-operation is being carried through and how the gateways in the projects can serve from a wider perspective. The gateways, AGORA and NOVAGate, are being studied mainly by their Web sites and two e-mail interviews with Persons responsible for the gateways. Facts about the national project are principally based on an interview with BIBSAM. The European Renardus is being studied out of articles and information on the Web site. From the results of the study it is being clear that the purpose of the gateways is to make a quality-selection of information accessible via the Internet and thereby facilitate for their target groups to find usable information.

Smärta är ett allmänmänskligt fenomen och något vårdpersonal med största sannolikhet kommer komma i kontakt med. Trots att smärta är vanligt förekommande är det inte sällan som smärtbehandlingen upplevs som otillfredsställande för patienten. Utöver analgetisk behandling samt alternativa behandlingsformer kan andra faktorer påverka välbefinnandet och därmed smärtupplevelsen. Då smärta till sin natur är en flerdimensionell och komplex upplevelse kan en flerdimensionell syn även på behandling av smärta vara ett fruktbart sätt att lindra upplevelsen. Syftet med studien var att undersöka och belysa vilken betydelse patientens psykiska välbefinnande har på upplevelsen av smärta samt hur sjuksköterskan kan lindra patientens upplevelse av smärta.

Detta är en kvalitativ studie som syftar till att undersöka hur individer som inte är födda i Sverige, upplever att det är att leva i landet samt hur identiteten påverkats av flytten till det nya landet. Tidigare forskning visar på att trots att vi haft en flyktinginvandring i 40 års tid så har integrationen inte fungerat fullt så bra som den borde, vilket var en bidragande faktor till vårt intresse kring ämnet.Vi har intervjuat tolv personer som vi ansett vara ?lämpliga? informanter då dessa behärskat det svenska språket samt haft ett annat ursprung än svenskt. De frågeställningar som har använts är: - Hur upplever de invandrare vi intervjuat att det är att leva i Sverige? Positivt eller negativt? ? Hur ser en invandrare i Sverige på sin egen identitet? - Förändras upplevelsen av en Persons identitet vid en flytt till ett annat land? - Vilka processer uppstår för en individ vid en invandring till ett nytt land? För vår datainsamling har vi använt oss utav den kvalitativa forskningsintervjun som syftar till att förstå den intervjuades upplevelse av fenomenet.
