Idag lever cirka 40-65% av Sveriges befolkning med kronisk smärta. Påverkan av kronisk smärta på en Persons livsstil varierar, en del ser smärtan som en olägenhet i vardagen medan andra upplever att smärtan påverkar varje aspekt av livet. Det är inte lätt att behandla kronisk smärta då variationer på smärtan är många och diagnosen ofta är osäker. Alternativa metoder för att behandla smärta blir allt vanligare och en sådan metod är mindfulness. Syftet med studien var att beskriva den samlade kunskapen kring mindfulness verkan hos personer med kronisk smärta.

Background: The increasing globalization of business and research has led to an increased demand for international meetings. This is a market that a number of countries wish to access and the competition is fierce to get the chance to host major conferences. Stockholm has a pronounced good position in the international meeting market and this essay will examine what it takes to be a successful meeting destination for international congresses.Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to examine the fundamental factors that must be met for a meeting destination to be successful in the international market for conventions.Question at issue: How can a city develop into a more attractive meeting destination for international congresses?Method: Persons with key positions in the Stockholm meeting industry have been approached by qualitative interviews by the authors.Theory: As a theoretical framework the authors used the value of the physical meeting, generally on the congresses, the planning process for site selection for the meeting, the meeting platform and image.Conclusion: The authors' findings are based on the empirical material gathered during the study interviews. Bakgrund: Diabetes typ 2 är en av de vanligaste folksjukdomarna och orsakas av både arv och miljö. Sjukdomen medför en risk för att drabbas av komplikationer, bland annat hjärt- och kärlsjukdom och nedsatt perifer cirkulation. För att undvika detta har en Persons levnadsvanor en stor betydelse, detta genom fysisk aktivitet och hälsosam kost. Genom att förändra sin livsstil kan upp emot 80% av fallen förebyggas.Syfte: Litteraturöversiktens syfte var att beskriva upplevelsen av livsstilsförändringar hos personer med diabetes mellitus typ 2.Metod: En litteraturöversikt baserad på sexton vetenskapliga artiklar med kvalitativ ansats. Artiklarna har granskats och analyserats utifrån Fribergs femstegsmodell.Resultat: Upplevelsen av livsstilsförändringar påverkades av olika faktorer.

The purpose of this study was to, using statistical analysis, investigate to what extent families of a different cultural background have participated in family therapy and other family treatment programs at Familjeenheten in Lund. With questions regarding the goals of treatment, and the importance of cultural competence in the treatment process we have let two unit managers comment on the statistics. The population of the study is too small to allow general conclusions to be drawn, however, we have been able to ascertain that families of a different background are over-represented relative to their percentage of Lund´s population. Familjeenheten has no statistical record of ethnicity and the interviewed Persons express no certain importance in the families´ cultural origins. They express no need to develop special treatment methods that take the clients´ cultural background in regard as they feel that so many of family issues are universal.

Relationer är ett av de grundläggande band vi har i livet och är en viktig aspekt för den psykiska hälsan. Denna studie behandlar en speciell typ av relation, nämligen relationen mellan kontaktpersoner och deras brukare. Studien fördjupar sig i kontaktpersonernas egen upplevelse av många gånger en diffus relation som de har till sina brukare. Den diskuterar om den betalda relationen mellan kontaktpersonerna och brukarna är vänskaplig eller om den är mer professionell i sin natur samt belyser en del etiska problem som kan uppkomma i den här typen av relation. Den aktuella studien innefattar en kvalitativ ansats och bestod av semistrukturerade intervjuer i syfte att belysa relationen mellan kontaktpersoner och sina brukare.

This paper investigates the level of consciousness regarding to the diversity work in the municipalities of Malmö, Lund and Landskrona. The study focuses on Persons in a middle management position connected to various spheres of activities in each municipality. A survey concerning each municipality's diversity plan, diversity work, recruiting process, education and knowledge was used to investigate the participants' consciousness. The survey poses similar questions regarding equality between the sexes to compare the results from each field. The paper presents an overview of the development of Sweden's labour market and society, and gives an account for the differences between immigrants and natives positions in the labour market.

Äldre erbjuds inte naturkontakt och en miljö som är anpassad efter deras behov på det särskilda boendet. Med en funktionell och tillgänglig trädgård, en lockande och restorativ utsikt och naturelement i innemiljön, skulle de äldre få möjlighet att ta del av naturens positiva, hälsofrämjande effekt. Syftet med studien var att undersöka äldres möjligheter till naturkontakt på det särskilda boendet, där deras utemiljö, utsikt och naturelement i innemiljön studerades. Metoden var en miljöanalys av samtliga särskilda boenden (n=6) i en småstadskommun, samt av äldreboendet Vigs Ängar som i studien fungerade som en referens. Resultatet visar att flera särskilda boenden har trädgårdar som erbjuder kvaliteter som är viktiga för de äldre, men tillgängligheten är så dålig att de äldre inte kan använda någon av trädgårdarna självständigt. Det särskilda boendet erbjuder utsikt mot natur och den egna trädgården, men naturelement i innemiljön är en resurs som inte utnyttjas.

The aim of this thesis is to investigate librarians? experiences and opinions about a system for fiction retrieval based on the subject headings list Att indexera skönlitteratur. I want to know if librarians experience that subject headings searches for fiction literature are a good working tool, if there according to librarians are other resources and means that makes fiction available and searchable, and how they estimate the possibility of non-professionals to use subject headings for fiction retrieval. Six librarians at public libraries in Göteborg where interviewed. The interviews dealt with their work with fiction literature, their experiences of subject headings as a fiction retrieval tool, and with their contacts with patrons.

The purpose of this master?s thesis is to investigate children?s access to specific children?s activities at Swedish public libraries 2005. The thesis is based on literature studies and qualitative interviews with children?s librarians, library directors and local politicians at two demographically different libraries in Gothenburg.The sub questions are: What measures exist to promote children?s access to public libraries and children?s activities when it comes to: law and other political statements: different efforts on the state level and different efforts on the municipal level in the direct activity with children at public libraries? What driving forces and needs justify activities for children at public libraries? How will the responsible Persons judge that the efforts are sufficient? The result of the study shows that children?s access to library activity has increased in the last couple of years due to reorganization, economic savings with closing down of library affiliates and because libraries have given priority to other things, like IT and new media. Children?s librarians have got new assignments and less time for children?s activity.The conclusion of our investigation is that children?s librarians are ambitious in their work, but unfortunately don?t give children?s library activity adequate resources.

The main purpose of this study was to obtain insight into what students and teachers think about field trips in ecology and whether they think that fieldtrips result in increase of students? learning. Open questionnaires and half structured interviews were used to investigate this. Persons who answered the questionnaires and participated in the interviews were senior high school teachers in biology or science and high school science students. All the teachers and most of the students thought that field trips in ecology resulted in increased learning.

The purpose of this study was to examine creativity in psychosocial work. The aim issues where to find out how creativity develops in social work, why the relation is important for the innovativeness and how the creativeness can change a person. Through a qualitative method with interviews of four Persons in psychosocial work and with one man who's a professor in philosophy, four relevant themes were identified. The themes are about the relation, the meeting, the dialog and the changing. All four themes are related to creativity and I used existential, philosophic and also psychoanalytic theories when I analyzed the material.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine and analyse which effects a service strategy has on the control system of an organisation. The thesis takes a service perspective, and it is assumed that a service strategy gains competitive advantage and that the goal of the service strategy is to increase the customers? satisfaction level. A qualitative in-depth case study was performed on a Swedish beauty company. The organisation?s vertical structure was examined, from central to local level.

Bakgrund: Varje dag smittas i genomsnitt cirka 14 000 personer av HIV i världen. Ny behandling har gjort att dessa patienter idag lever längre. Sjukdomsförlopp samt komplikationer går inte att förutsäga utan är individuellt. Eftersom personer med HIV/AIDS-diagnos nu lever längre kommer behovet av arbetsterapeutiska insatser att öka. Syfte: Syftet med studien är att beskriva arbetsterapeutiska insatser för personer med HIV/AIDS samt vilken roll arbetsterapeuten har i arbetet kring dessa personer.

Föreliggande uppsats handlar om enhetschefers förtroende för omsorgspersonalen inom hemtjänsten ur enhetschefsperspektiv. Eftersom förtroende är ett begrepp som kan se olika ut beroende på vilket område som undersöks, avgränsas uppsatsens undersökning till att gälla enhetschefers förtroende i samband med förekomsten av omsorgspersonal som stjäl hemma hos brukare. Omsorgspersonals stölder hos brukare av hemtjänst är ett outforskat område, det enda som med säkerhet kan sägas är att det förekommer. Därför har uppsatsen som syfte att undersöka hur enhetschefers förtroendebild och kontrollåtgärder ser ut för att kunna ha förtroende avseende förekomsten av stölder. Teorierna som används för analysen är Uslaner´s teori om moralisk och strategisk tillit och Luhmann´s teoretiska funktionsanalys av förtroende samt Cohen´s och Felson´s rutinaktivitetsteori.

AbstractThis study examines factors in school that could contribute to or counteract the experience of inclusion of Persons who have been diagnosed in the field of autism spectrum disorder. The information was gathered through qualitative interviews and processed to be presented in the results.The results show that respondents found it difficult to concentrate when in school because of the environment. They experienced no coherence in learning situations, they may not get answer as to why information should be carried out and saw no point to have breaks. Furthermore, they experienced no problems to orientate in school or to follow the schedule. The results also revealed that the respondents had at least one teacher with whom they felt that the relationship was positive.
