The purpose of this master?s thesis is to find out in which ways a group of first generation immigrants use Swedish papers and magazines in a public library and which information needs this group has about Swedish society. One important aspect in this essay is integration of immigrants in the Swedish society as a possible effect of newspaper reading. The method used in this study is qualitative. Data is generated through semi-structured interviews.

Detta är en personlig undersökning av de saker som gör att jag uppskattar hur ljuset spelar i ett rum, samt ett försök att tala om och illustrera detta. Jag har utgått från mina egna upplevelser av ljus och försökt sätta ord på sådant som kan uppfattas på en mängd olika sätt och dessutom är ganska abstrakt. Ljus i sekundärform.Med utgångspunkt i vad som fascinerar mig med ljus har jag utforskat skugga, reflektion, (färg)temperatur och de kontraster som dessa effekter bildar. Genom att beskriva ljusets effekter och uppkomst på olika sätt har jag undersökt hur man kan tala om ljus.Jag har sammanställt fotografier av ljusscenarion och bilder från modellexperiment med förklarande texter och illustrationer i en bok för mig, att gå tillbaka till i framtiden..

The purpose of this Master?s thesis is to investigate a few economy students? perceptions of user education connected to essay work, focusing on aspects of information literacy of importance to the studies and the role of the user education in this context. The study was conducted with a qualitative approach. Five economy students were interviewed regarding their experiences of working with information, their perceptions of user education and its impact on their essay work. The interviews were transcribed and analysed with Bruce?s (1997) relational model of information literacy.

Objective: The purpose of the study is to explore and illustrate how ultrasound midwives and medical specialist in obstetrics and gynecology believe the information given to parents about the genetic soft markers should be handled.Design: A quantitative questionnaire study with cross-sectional design. Participants: 44 ultrasound midwives and 37 medical specialists in obstetrics and gynecology.Findings: Most of the participants would like to inform before the ultrasound starts that they will be looking for genetic softmarkers during the ultrasound. Likewise the majority wanted to inform the parents about possible increases in the risk for chromosomal abnormalities based on findings on the routine ultrasound. There was a difference in frequency between those who responded that they would like to inform before the ultrasound that they will be looking for genetic softmarkers and those who responded that they believe the future parents wants information before the examination.Key conclusions: It could help health care professionals in their role as information providers if there were common recommendations for the information to be given to future parents about genetic softmarkers in connection with the routine ultrasound.

Syftet med vår studie är att genom semistrukturerade intervjuer ta reda på hur och ivilken omfattning drama och dramapedagogik används i några förskolor, samt vadförskollärarna anser om deras användning av dessa. Förskollärarna intervjuades medöppna frågor för att få en mångfald, men även för att ta del av deras mer personligaåsikter och värderingar. Resultatet visar att drama och dramapedagogik används iden vardagliga verksamheten. Det framkom även att drama bjuder in till samtal ochsamspel vilket leder till ökad språkutveckling samt personlig och social utveckling.Slutsatser som kan dras av studien är att drama och dramapedagogik är ett braverktyg samt ett bra arbetssätt att tillämpa inom förskolans verksamhet.

The aim of this two years master thesis in Library and information science is to study the foundation Centrum för lättläst and its work regarding information use with focus on information structures and information needs. The aim is also to examine how Centrum för lättläst cooperate with Swedish libraries to promote the work concerning people with reading disabilities. This master thesis applies a domain analytic theory and method inspired by Birger Hjørland. The domain analysis is confined to examine ontology, epistemology, sociology, empirical user studies, document and genre studies and studies of structures and institutions in scientific communication. The intention of the introduction of IFRS is to achieve international harmonization of accounting rules in order to make financial reports more comparable between companies from different countries. The purpose of financial reports presented in accordance with IFRS is to provide information that is useful to the users of the information. The aim of this paper is to investigate whether the information regarding goodwill and the goodwill impairment test, presented in accordance with IFRS, in fact is useful to a specific group of accounting information users, namely equity analysts. An empirical study is conducted, based on interviews with seven Swedish equity analysts.
