The purpose of this study was to illustrate a parental perspective of children´s participation and quality of live through personal assistance. Important aspects of parents' experiences were highlighted based on how they experienced participation and quality of life for their children. We chose to use a qualitative approach in the form of four individual interviews with parents from different municipalities in central Sweden. The study was conducted with a narrative approach in which we used a holistic perspective. Parents' experiences were highlighted over time to create a complete picture.

This paper attempts to display how five teachers of social studies use and relate to the policy documents and their instructions on gender. To penetrate the subject, five teachers were intreviewed. Each interview focused on how the curriculum attempts to guide teachers regarding gender, sex differences and equality of opportunity. The collected information was processed, analyzed and discussed using gender studies and discourse theory.The results show that the interpretation and usage of the curriculum is very subjective and varies greatly between all the interviewed teachers. Their personal interpretation proves to be crucial when it comes to making reality of the stated goals in the curriculum, concerning actively working towards equality of opportunity between sexes.

The purpose with this study is to examine school-leaders?, school-librarians? and teachers? expectations and aims for their school-libraries at two different schools in the city of Växjö. The study is based on these five questions:· How do school-leaders, school-librarians and teachers think about learning?· What function does the school-library have?· What roles do school-leaders, school-librarians and teachers have in the school-library?· How do school-leaders, school-librarians and teachers experience the co-operation in the school-library?· How would school-leaders, school-librarians and teachers wish that the co-operation should be?To be able to answer these questions I have done thirteen qualitative interviews and studied literature relevant to the subject. Three different theories are used as a theoretical framework; the traditional perspective, individual constructivism and social constructivism.

Background: The competition is getting harder between the universities. To reach the high school students and discover which means of contact they prefer and how they perceive student recruitment are important issues in order to succeed in marketing strategies.Purpose: The purpose with our report is to investigate, analyze and compare the student recruitment in three universities and investigate how the high school students want to be contacted. Then we compare to see if they think alike.Method: We have done a qualitative study and chosen to use focus group interviews for the high school students and interviews for the universities to collect our empirical data. We have compared the empirical data and analyzed it with communication processes and marketing communication as theoretical grounds.Result: All of the universities work approximately the same way with their student recruitment. They put a large effort in the Internet and social networks as well as the personal contact.

Den utveckling som skett under 1990-talet är att gå från att ha sett människan som ett utbytbart kugghjul till att nu använda människan som sitt främsta konkurrensmedel. Personalutveckling är idag ett väldebatterat begrepp i media, och det tillämpas inom de flesta företagen. Personalutveckling kan ske på många olika sätt, t.ex. genom utbildning, teambildning, information, kommunikation och feedback. Men kan organisationsuppbyggnaden ha någon inverkan på personalutvecklingen? Tre fastighetsföretag, med olika ägandeformer och fastighetsbestånd, har intervjuats för denna uppsats; HSB, MKB och Fastighets AB Briggen.

Syftet med vår studie var att undersöka i vilken utsträckning förskolepersonalen anser att de ger barn möjlighet till inflytande över sin vardag i förskolan. Arbetet syftade vidare till att synliggöra hur personalen arbetar för att barn ska bli delaktiga i verksamheten. Vi har genomfört en enkätundersökning med både öppna och slutna frågor. Enkäterna delades ut till fyra kommunala förskolor där all personal som arbetar i barngruppen fick möjlighet att besvara enkäterna. Resultatet visar att förskolepersonalen anser att de arbetar medvetet med att få barnen delaktiga samt med att ge dem inflytande.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine a new music downloading service called Musikwebben, which is now available in many Swedish libraries. It focuses on the differences and similarities between this service and illegal music sharing services. The question is raised, whether the appeal of Musikwebben is high enough for it to be able to ?recruit? users from similar, illegal services. To answer this question, a qualitative content analysis is used, to explore various views on what legal downloading services have to offer and how these differ to illegal alternatives.

Along with the development of technology, the cross-border trade is increasing and therefore there is a need for greater consumer protection. A good consumer protection creates a feeling of safety for the consumer and that by itself may help to increase cross-border trade. This is one of the reasons for why the EU has established regulatory framework for electronic commerce, for example the Directive2000/31/EC. The direc-tive strives to create a similar law for electronic commerce within the European Union. This paper?s main purpose is to ensure that the directive is implemented properly in Swedish law, and if there are other possible ways to achieve the objective, other than the ones that the Swedish legislator has chosen.

This report describes what wireless local area networks are and the use and configuration of them. These WLAN as they also are called can be used both in new installations and expansion of existing networks. Further on this report reveals security in this area. Security is incredible important in all networks not at least wireless because you don?t have to be in the environment physically to get the information, you only have to be in the coverage area that can be several hundred meters.

Sydkraft Vattenkraft AB owns and operates the Traryd hydropower plant, located in the river Lagan in the southern part of Sweden. The gravity dam is classed according to RIDAS guidelines (Hydropower Industry Dam Safety Guidelines) as a class 1B dam. This means that the dam must discharge a class 1-flow which has a return period of 10 000 years. The inflow into the dam has been calculated in an earlier report to 495 m3/s, with a waterline at an elevation of 126, 3 meters above sea level. The gravity dam has a discharge system with two rectangular weirs, which results in a smaller discharge than the necessary 495 m3/s.

Information about vibration injuries as a preventive measure is beneficial to society as well as the individual. As early as after a few years work with machines that vibrate can cause young sensitive persons to develop vibration injuries.An evaluation has been done on a web page with focus on information about work related vibration injuries. As a part of the evaluation a user observation and interview study was performed with workers who worked in different occupations. The workers all used machine that vibrate as part of the work. A total of eleven workers participated in the study.

Följande arbete bygger på en enkätundersökning som riktade sig till föräldrar på fyra förskoleavdelningar samt till föräldrar till tre stycken klasser i årskurs ett. Syftet med undersökningen var att se hur kontakten med hemmen skedde i de olika verksamheterna och vilka skillnader som eventuellt fanns.Resultatet av studien har gett fördjupad insikt om vilket förhållningssätt lärare bör förhålla sig till i kontakten mellan föräldrar och förskola/skola och hur den relationen sker. Ett av de mest intressanta resultaten som framkom av enkäten var bland annat efterfrågan om personlig kontakt med pedagogen vilket kräver att pedagogen har en socialkompetens, såväl i förskolan som i skolan.Studien skall ses som en hjälp, upplysning för personal som arbetar inom förskolan/skolan samt andra berörda inom barnomsorg och förvaltning. Med hjälp av resultatet från enkätundersökningen, där föräldrarna var respondenter, har en tydligare bild framkommit över vilket förhållningssätt och vilka kunskaper lärare behöver besitta. Detta baserat på frågornas syfte som var att se vad hemmen upplevde som viktigast i arbetet med förskolan/skolans personal..
