The current paper is a study of the character Christian Grey in the EL James trilogy Fifty Shades of Grey. The main aim is to find out how masculinity, sexuality and gender are constructed in this erotic fantasy. More over terms as femininity, unmanliness and gender have relevance to the study. Several studies have been done on romance novels and Harlequin in particular from a gender perspective, but few of them from a masculine point of view. Hence, no earlier study has been done on Fifty Shades of Grey with masculinity studies as the main tool of masculinity, or with theories of romance.

With knowledge of how the southern Swedish forests have been affected by storms the past years, this study intended to find out which factors affect the storm firmness of a stand the most. The study was based on data from stands in the, by the storm Gudrun, affected area. The results of the analyses that tested the stand factors that influence the amount of storm damage to the greatest extent showed that the storm sensitivity of Norway spruce stands were largely due to previous management actions. The factors that could be controlled by thinning and had relevance of storm damage standpoint, according to the results were; the dominant height, volume, basal area weighted mean diameter and stand age at last thinning. In this study, these results are not as clear for Scots pine.

Several theoretical models of change exist concerning attachment, but an integrated view and knowledge of the role separate factors of change play for the individual is lacking. This phenomenon is hereby studied by semi-structured interviews of 20 persons. Change and factors of change are examined statistically with affectregulation as measure of attachment. The results show that these individuals´ changes are small and mostly towards secure attachment. Metacognition is related to greater change towards secure attachment.

This is a qualitative case study of young womens? experiences of blogging about One Direction on the social media/microblogging platform Tumblr. The aim of this study was to find out what fan blogging is and why fans blog. We did this by creating an account on Tumblr where we invited young women between the ages of 16?29, who had active fan blogs dedicated to One Direction, to answer an open-ended questionnaire.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att pröva om Jominis principer om militärteori har någon inverkan på dagens slagfält, genom att de påverkar amerikanska doktriner, och därmed strategiskt och operativt tänkande. Dagens högteknologiska stridsfält är betydligt mer komplext och består av fler dimensioner, än det fanns när Jomini verkade. Det blir då viktigt att förstå de klassiska strategiska tankegångarna som ligger till grund för de operativa men även taktiska besluten. Det blir intressant att forska om och hur Jominis teorier verkligen har haft påverkan på de amerikanska doktriner som utvecklats efter 1976, speciellt då väst europeiska, även svenska, doktriner främst anses vara påverkade utav Clausewitz och dennes syn på krig. Inte minst då svensk militär personal interagerar med amerikansk militär personal på den internationella arenan, vilket sker i stort sett dagligen under internationell tjänstgöring.Uppsatsen kommer fram till slutsatsen att Jominis principer fortfarande påverkar amerikanska doktriner. The purpose of this study was to examine how small-scale private forest ownersmake decisions regarding pre-commercial thinning. In 2015 it is ten years agosince the storm Gudrun hit the southern parts of Sweden and now large areas arein need of pre-commercial thinning. This study is built upon qualitativeinterviews with seven small-scale private forest owners with forest properties inthe county Kronoberg. The respondents were chosen by the modelSKOGSÄGARPROFILENTM (forest owner profile).The results of the interviews showed that five categories: ownership, the stormGudrun´s impact, silviculture, forestry contacts and driving force was important.How will their purpose and aim affect the pre-commercial thinning? Personalinterests, and expectations of the next generation to take over, are purposes thisstudy has found.

The main object for this thesis is to study how students in library and information science at Högskolan i Borås search and valuate documents in the process of writing a paper. The study is based on a series of interviews with 12 students. Our methodology is also based on studies of their final product. The goal of the study was to map out how the students make their decisions during their search process. We studied the students use of search words, relevance judgements and how their need for information changed trough out the writing of their paper.

Det här arbetet handlar om hur skolans personal kan stödja barn med aspergers syndrom och om vilken kunskap och metoder som de har att tillgå. Arbetet ställer sig frågorna:Vilka rättigheter har barn med asperger till att få hjälp i skola och fritidshem?Vilken kunskap behöver personal för att ha förståelse för barn med asperger?Hur kan personal som arbetar i skola och fritidshem stödja barn med asperger?Svaren söks genom forsknings och litteraturgenomgång, där även styrdokument behandlas samt intervju av fyra personer som arbetar i skolan med barn som har asperger. Resultaten av forsknings- och litteraturgenomgången och av intervjuerna är mycket lika samtidigt som de kompletterar varandra. De lyfter fram behovet av att skolpersonal har kunskap och förståelse både om det enskilda barnet och om funktionsnedsättningen.

In this Masters thesis the image of the public library in the local press and in the eyes of the public is examined. The questions posed to examine this are: - What activities of the public library are described in the local press? - What activities does the public associate with the public library? - What functions and roles of the public library can be found in the articles and interviews and how are they expressed? - What opinions of the public library and hereto related activities can be found in the articles and interviews? This study is based on an analysis of 127 articles, published in Borås Tidning during a period of six months, and of interviews with 35 people from Sjuhäradsbygden. To analyse the articles and the interviews Marianne Andersson and Dorte Skot-Hansen´s model of roles for the library has been used. The model includes four roles for the library: the library as a cultural centre, a knowledge centre, an information centre and a social centre.

Undersökningen är av kvalitativ karaktär men med en kvantitativ insamlingsmetod. Den datainsamlingsmetod som använts för undersökningen är en kundenkät och semistrukturerade intervjuer av personal. Studien visar att det finns ett samband mellan relationsmarknadsföring och lojalitet. Det nyetablerade bankkontoret har med hjälp av ett visionsdokument, en positiv nybyggaranda och specialrekryterad personal lyckats få nöjda kunder vilket innebär goda förutsättningar för långvariga relationer med lojala kunder.

This project is a study in how to represent the Swedish magician and variety artist Carl-Einar Häckner in a web-based environment. With a starting point focusing on illustration I wanted to produce a web environment that would function as a prototype for a webpage. My personal aim was to explore and gain new experiences from working in a digital interactive environment. I wanted to use animation and illustration to create an atmosphere and communicate emotions, and in the end find out a way of how to integrate that with a more text based content.
