The aim of this Master?s thesis is to investigate the meaning the reading group of the public library has to a number of users. To fulfill the aim the following three questions have been formulated: 1) What do a number of users expect from the reading group of the public library? 2) Which approach/attitude or approaches/attitudes do a number of users have to reading and to talking about reading? 3) How do a number of users experience the ongoing reading group?The research is founded on qualitative interviews with five users that take part in three different reading groups in public libraries. The theories that are used is the theory of three so called strategies - the pragmatic, the traditionalistic, the emancipatory ? and the theory of flow.

Akutsjuksköterskors upplevelser av implementeringen av ett förbättringsarbete på en akutmottagning

SammanfattningBakgrund: Sjuksköterskor ställs kontinuerligt inför omvärldsförändringar som inte går attpåverka. Det innebär att ständiga förändringar i arbetsmetoder genomförs och att all personalhela tiden är i behov av utbildning. Allt syftar mot att göra kvalitetsförbättringar för bådepersonal och patienter.Syfte: Att beskriva akutsjuksköterskors upplevelser av implementeringen av ettförbättringsarbete, i detta fall införandet av triage på en akutmottagning.Metod: Studien har en deskriptiv design med kvalitativ metod. Datainsamlingen genomfördesi fokusgruppsintervjuer och materialet har analyserats med en kvalitativ innehållsanalys.Resultat: Ur analysen framkom det övergripande temat enönskan att känna trygghet under enimplementeringoch fyra kategorier; kommunikation, planering och målsättning,förändringsbenägenhetoch kompetensutveckling som beskriver akutsjuksköterskorsupplevelser av implementeringen av ett förbättringsarbete.Slutsats: Under en implementering behöver ledningen ha kunskap om ovanstående resultat.Sjuksköterskorna beskriver åtgärder för att skapa möjligheter och undanröja hinder för attkunna uppnå trygghet under implementeringen. The aim of the study was to describe how anaesthetic nurses, within both advanced beginner and expert levels, experience their professional role as they perform a general anaesthetic.The study had a descriptive design with a qualitative approach in which ten advanced beginners- and ten expert anaesthetic nurses from an operating theatre and an ambulatory surgical ward at a hospital located in the middle of Sweden, participated. All data was collected in an interview with semi-structured questions which focused on how the anaesthetic nurses experience their work. The data were analysed with qualitative content analysis. The results are presented in categories and themes. The themes were formed from the categories.

Personlig_Bankman - En kvantitativ undersökning om bankers kommunikation på Twitter

Banks and their products are traditionally characterized as high involvement, informational purchases and as such there is a need to shape the market communication to be logical and catering to the need for information that customers are bound to have. With the advent of social media and web 2.0 a company can no longer opt out of the online discourse regarding their company. As social medias are characterized by being an active media, tailored to personal exchanges and opinions, the match with the high involvement approach that banks usually have to employ is not always ideal. We have examined what happens when banks use different degrees of personal message content and sender profiles on Twitter. Our findings suggest that while some strategies generate higher WOM intentions, others may provide a greater level of sender credibility..

This survey was made during the autumn of 2002 and the beginning of 2003, on commission from the National Board of Forestry. The purpose with the survey was to gather experience and knowledge in the organisation about fencing and this was made through interviews. The ambition was also to get knowledge from people outside the organisation that have great experience of forestry and fencing. The interviews were based on questions that have been composed by the author with help from the supervisors. The questions were the same to both the personal from the National Board of Forestry and to the foresters. Interviews were also made with private landowners, gamekeepers, game researcher, the County Administrative Board, the National Road Administration, pole and net retailers and contractors. The target group for this work is the National Board of Forestry to be forwarded to persons interested in forestry with the ambition to spread knowledge about how to prevent damage on the forest by browsing animals. The deer populations are big in the south of Sweden and growing populations have increased the damage on plantations of broadleaves of the most species.

Patienternas upplevelser av ronden på en kirurgisk akutvårdsavdelning

Ronden på en kirurgisk akutvårdsavdelning är en central del i vårdprocessen för patient och personal. Ronden sker dagligen och mötet mellan patient, läkare, sjuksköterska och undersköterska sker på kort tid och det sker snabba beslut. Syftet var att undersöka patientens upplevelse av ronden på en kirurgisk akut vårdsavdelning. Med utgångspunkt från detta så valdes det en kvalitativ metod med fenomenologisk ansats och intervjuer som datainsamlings metod. Efter analys av totalt 11 patienters upplevelser av ronden kom det fram tre kategorier med tillhörande underkategorier i resultatet.

LHC - Strävan efter att öka den totala kundupplevelsen

In today's society there are a lot of offers towards consumers, where they actively have to choose the most appealing offer. In order for an offer to be attractive it must add value in line with the customers demand. Also, it requires that the offer provides a sufficient level of attraction so that the customer selects the particular product/service over another. Furthermore, each offer must exceed the expectations of the visitors to an event, so they feel that the event is something "extraordinary". We have chosen to study how LHC (Linkoping Hockey Club) works with marketing in order to improve the overall customer experience.

The starting point for the question at issue has been the client's experience of their financial situation the reception and expectations towards the social welfare.In our B-level study we carried out qualitative interviews with social welfare officers to find out how they applied the "child perspective" in granting financial support and to what extent they felt that they succeeded in meeting the need of the client. The conclusion was that there is still room for improvement in this field and particularly a wish to focus more on the child's situation and development. The officers told us that they tried to pay closer attention to the child's situation through asking about the children and by visiting the families at home.They expressed awareness of the importance to a child's well being the financial situation of their family. They also expressed the need for the child to be able to take part in leisure time activities and having an active social life.In this study our research method is based on qualitative interviews.

Background: The health of children and youth has decreased the last two decades. The Swedish government has decided to back a national plan for parenting support. The municipality of Tjörn is a part of national parental support project to identify the need and to improve the parental support in the municipality. Purpose: The purpose with this study was to identify experience and need of parental support among fathers with more than one child on Tjörn. Method: Five individual qualitative interviews were conducted with the fathers.

Barnfetma - en fråga av vikt : Skolsköterskors upplevelser och erfarenheter av arbetet med överviktiga barn

AbstractThe aim of the study was to describe how school nurses experience the work with overweightchildren and youths from the compulsory school to upper secondary school and what kind ofnursing interventions they perform. The study had a descriptive design and ten school nursesfrom a municipality in the middle of Sweden participated. Data were collected by semistructured interviews and analyzed using qualitative content analysis. The result is presentedin six categories and one theme. The category to identify and investigate describes how theschool nurses, based on the result from the health interviewing, identified and investigated theoverweight children.

Empowerment i hemtjänsten : Fallstudie inom hemtjänsten i Reykjavík

I många år har det stått klart att på grund av ökning av antalet äldre kommer det blir svårt med framtida bemanning i hemtjänsten. Arbeten anses vara låg status och underbetalda. Om arbeten i hemtjänsten anses ge anställda upplevelser av empowerment är det möjligt att flera söker sig till dessa arbeten och att befintlig personal stannar kvar.Syftet med denna uppsats är att få ökad förståelse för hur personal i hemtjänst upplever empowerment i sitt arbete samt att studera på vilket sätt ledare inom hemtjänsten kan arbeta med att stödja upplevelser av empowerment hos sina anställda. Undersökningen är genomförd som en kvalitativ fallstudie i hemtjänsten i Reykjavík. Med semistrukturerade intervjuer har sex anställda och tre ledare intervjuats och materialet har analyserats med en tematisk analys.Det visar sig att de anställda i hemtjänsten i Reykjavík upplever delvis strukturell empowerment i sina arbeten samt pyskologisk empowerment genom alla fyra kognitionerna; mening, kompetens, självbestämmande och påverkan. Ledarna stödjer personalens upplevelser av empowerment genom tillit, respekt och värdighet samt tillåtelse att göra misstag..

Analys av skillnader mellan internationell och svensk rapportering av inträffade händelser på kärnkraftverk

Report of diploma work conducted at the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority (SSM) as part of the bachelors program in Nuclear Engineering at Uppsala University.All nuclear power plants in Sweden are obliged to report any deficiency in their barriers or the defense in depth in obedience to SSM?s regulations concerning safety in nuclear facilities. In addition, there is an international system for reporting such events. The purpose of this thesis is to study the Swedish report system and to analyze the differences between Swedish and international event reporting.In the Swedish system, SSM?s regulations are effectuated by means of event reports classified as category 1-3, designed individually at each Swedish facility.

Socialsekreterare och stolt? : En kvalitativ studie om socialsekreterares yrkesstolthet

The aim of this thesis is to study whether social welfare secretaries experience occupational pride and what affects this feeling. Previously made research indicate that occupational pride is essential for performance and work-related health. Research has also shown that social welfare secretaries often experience unhealthiness due to working conditions and a lack of professional self-esteem.This thesis is based on four qualitative interviews which have focused especially on critical incidents, according to the critical incident technique. This study has a hermeneutic, interpretative approach. As a theoretical framework, Pierre Bourdieu? s theory on social space and positions aswell as Aaron Antonovsky´s theory on Sence of coherence have been used. The result shows that the interviewed social welfare secretaries do experience occupational pride.

Varumärkesvänner och relationsreklam - En kvantitativ studie av medarbetarkommunikation på Facebook

Marketers of today are confronted by the fact that it is increasingly difficult to gain the customer's attention, as they first have to break through the ad clutter. In a landscape where the general attitude towards advertising is negative, one way to successfully deliver the message to the customer involves communicating through personal impact. By using stimuli containing identical information with different senders, this thesis seeks to quantitatively explore whether brands can make use of the personal networks of its employees, in their social media marketing strategy. The purpose of the study is to investigate if communication via the employees could enhance traditional communication effects, such as buying intention and electronic WOM intention. Furthermore, the study aims to examine which role the employee should hold when communicating on behalf of the brand, and if the communication effects vary with the degree of product involvement.
