The aim of the study is to evaluate how a law decided 2002 regarding discrimination against students in the higher education system in Sweden, was implemented at the University of Kalmar and Växjö University.The study asks two questions: How did the both universities implement the law? How did the universities manage to implement the law? In order to answer these questions the ?top-down? perspective, often used in field social science within discipline implementation, is used. First the study examines the goals with the legislation, and thereafter the actual implementation at the both examined universities.The conclusion is that the universities has high ambitions with implementation of the law and extensive formalized regulations but that it practically seems to be hard to get legitimacy with the implementation throughout the whole organizations. This makes the implementation work slowly though it?s working well with the people who have direct responsibility for the implementation..

Forskning har visat att våld är ett samhällsproblem och anses vara en av de främsta bakomliggande orsakerna till den ohälsa som finns bland kvinnor i världen. Kvinnor tillhör en grupp i samhället som löper stor risk att utsättas för våld i nära relationer. För att begränsa vår studie har vi valt att inrikta osspå våldsutsatta kvinnor från mellanöstern. Forskning visar att kvinnor med utländsk bakgrund är en ytterst sårbar och utsatt grupp. Syftet med studien är att skapa en förståelse för hur personal på skyddade boenden konstruerar våldsutsatta kvinnor från mellanösterns hjälpbehovoch hur de arbetar för att bemöta dessa.

Dagens situation för företagen innebär ständiga förändringar vilket ställer särskilda krav på deras anställda. Arbetet för personal på bemanningsföretag innehåller typiska egenskaper för det nya arbetslivet. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka vilka krav som ställs på personal som arbetar via bemanningsföretag samt hur dessa personer hanterar kraven. Denna studie bygger på kvalitativ metod där semistrukturerade intervjuer genomfördes med en konsultchef och sex stycken konsulter på ett bemanningsföretag. Resultatet från en tematisk analys visade att krav som ställdes på konsulterna var anställningsbarhet, anpassning samt hanterande av rollen som konsult.

For the Swedish artist Björn Lövin, the personal was a problem. Denna studie handlade om personal på ett gruppboende för ensamkommande asylsökande flyktingbarn. Den hade syftet att undersöka professionalitet, inre och yttre påverkan i personalens möte med barnen samt att utröna vilken kompetens som behövs för att arbeta inom detta område. De frågeställningar som framtogs behandlade riktlinjers och relationers påverkan på mötet med barnen, personalens syn på professionalitet är och vad som är professionalitet i deras arbete samt deras syn på kompetens. Den tidigare forskningen var koncentrerad till studier där fokus ligger på förståelsen för det sociala arbetet och dess påfrestningar. De teoretiska utgångspunkterna var professionalitet, etnicitet, interkulturellt socialt arbete och konsekvenspedagogik där etnicitet främst inriktar sig på identitetskonstruktion.

This report evaluates whether normal approximation or resampling is to prefer for estimating the distribution of the sample mean and functions of the sample mean. The evaluation relies on simulation studies. The observations of the sample are allowed to be differently distributed. In the case of sample means they are also allowed to be dependent.For sample means the two approximations behaves very similar. Personal archives are a largely neglected subject in archival theory. Among the consequences of this is the absenceof any general established or formalized practices when it comes to arrangement and description. Thisstudy opposes the notion that an archival institution without formal systems of arrangement and description doesnot order and describe archives in accordance with a general conceptual framework of a correct order. Supportingitself on the anthropological theory of Mary Douglas on dirt and cleanliness, it studies the implicit notions oforder that can be found in the archival descriptions of the personal archives kept by the Swedish national archives.Several patterns where revealed by the study: among them the primacy of quantity stood out. The vaguesystem of categories based on Martin Grass description model appears only to be employed loyally where quantitiesof the particular categories are such that they constitute complete volumes, which seem to be the cardinaljustifier of categorical division within the archive.

Our purpose was to study how care managers in practice evaluate needs in eldercare. A specific focus was set on elderly persons' sex, an area where former research show that decisions vary considerably. Were the care managers influenced in their decision making by the elderly person's sex? If so, in what ways? Were there variations in the definition of eldercare needs between the four chosen municipalities. And, finally, how did the care managers handle set criteria and priorities in their evaluation of such needs?The study was based on literature as well as interviews with eight care managers, chosen from four Scanian municipalities.We arrived at the conclusion that there is no specific difference in how the care managers evaluate eldercare needs in relation to sex..

This is a study of foster homes. The focus is at the methods, used at foster homes evaluations and at guidance/support the foster homes are offered.En questionnaire is made in Skåne, on this theme.Except that, it contains a fairly lot of useful information for families who are interested in becoming foster home.The questionnaire is made among public and private participants who evaluates new foster homes and places children (under 18 years) in Skåne.Because of the low answer frequency, we can?t generalize the result of the questionnaire. But the result we have obtained indicates that Kälvestens evaluation method is used frequently.In the subject of support/guidance we can?t see any specific methods used.

By comparing the experience off interaction in a life world with a drug habit and a life world without a drug habit you might find how they differ. We asked four former drug abusers in four semi structured interviews to describe their experiences off interaction under these two circumstances. The difference between the two life worlds when it comes to interaction is that in the drug abusing life world our informants describe that communicative action has to stand back for a more goal oriented action. In the drug free life world, communicative action on the other hand is experienced as the most important action. The difference is about wether interaction is goal oriented or oriented at understanding.

In this master thesis, the possibilities of customizing a low-cost microprocessor with the purpose of replacing an existing microprocessor solution are investigated. A brief survey of suitable processors is carried out wherein a replacement is chosen. The replacement processor is then analyzed and extended with accelerators in order to match set requirements.The result is a port of the processor Lattice Mico32 for the FPGA curcuit Xilinx Virtex-5 which replaces an earlier solution using Xilinx MicroBlaze. To reach the set requirements, accelerators for floating point arithmetics and FIR filtering have been developed. The toolchain for the processor has been modified to support the addition of accelerated floating point arithmetics.A final evaluation of the presented solution shows that it fulfills the set requirements and constitutes a functional replacement for the previous solution..

Globalization has lead to evolvement of teamwork between companies and their customers. One reason for this change is the growth of the IT community and the propagation of the Internet. This in turn has lead to faster communication within business networks and also a higher degree of integration between companies.The purpose of this thesis is to describe IT can be used to develop and support networks formed around IT corporations. IT also aim at describing what impact usage of IT within personal networks has on usage of IT within business networks. The thesis is limited to IT-companies using IT artifacts, not only for communication within its organization, but also communicating with its customers and other IT-companies.

Syftet med studien är att identifiera framgångsfaktorer, samt att påvisa hinder för att uppnå en fungerande elevhälsoorganisation, samt att visa hur Elevhälsans olika yrkeskompetenser bidrar till ett framgångsrikt elevhälsoarbete på en skola.Studien har genomförts med hjälp av kvalitativa djupintervjuer av Elevhälsans personal i åk 6-9 på en skola i en mellansvensk kommun, som enligt Skolverket anses ha en väl fungerande Elevhälsa. Resultaten grundar sig även på samtal med annan personal på skolan, samt på observationer i olika klassrum. Data från intervjuer, samtal och observationer har analyserats utifrån aktivitetsteorin, där fokus ligger på beskrivning av Elevhälsans olika yrkeskategoriers mål, handlingar och operationer.Undersökningen visar hur Elevhälsans olika yrkeskompetensers individuella arbete, samt samarbete sinsemellan bidrar till en fungerande elevhälsoorganisation. Elevhälsans arbete med eleverna kretsar kring hälsofrämjande arbete och arbete för att eleverna ska nå kunskapskraven. Detta bygger på värdegrundsarbete där det satsats mycket kraft på relationsbyggande och gott bemötande mellan elever, samt mellan personal och elever på skolan.

Självskadebeteende är ett stort hälsoproblem i Sverige och resten av världen, framförallt bland unga kvinnor (Socialstyrelsen, 2004a). Studier (Gollust, Eisenberg & Golberstein, 2008;Bjärehed & Lundh, 2008; Lloyd-Richardson, Perrine, Dierker & Kelley, 2007) visar att flickor och unga kvinnor aktivt skadar sig själva men att få av de drabbade söker vård för sina besvär. Patienter som skadar sig själva upplever att vårdpersonal har svårt att förstå deras situation (Craigen & Foster, 2009) samtidigt som vårdpersonal känner sig negativt inställda till att vårda patienter med självskadebeteende (Friedman et al. 2006). Det finns en frustration i vården bland både personal och patienter men endast lite evidensbaserad forskning kring området.
