Background: During the last decades patient satisfaction has become an important measurement of quality in psychiatric care. However the patients are seldom asked to evaluate the treatments.Objectives: The aim is to determine which factors the outpatients regard as beneficial in their psychiatric treatment. The purpose is explorative. During the study another purpose developed; to present research on the importance of the relationship between the caretaker and the caregiver for the outcome.Method: 30 persons were interviewed about what they found helpful in psychiatric treatment. The interviews were open using Grounded Theory as methodological input.Result: The most prominent topic was the quality of the relationship between the caregiver and the caretaker.

AbstractAttitudes towards the reference situation and the meetings between library users and librarians have become the subject of much debate in the library setting today. The aim of this two years master´s thesis has been to examine six librarian?s attitudes and apprehensions concerning the interactions between the librarian and the users in the library setting. We were also interested in knowing how a library can work to become more service oriented and customer centred. We conducted six interviews with librarians located at three different libraries in Sweden.

Background: Sweden is one of many countries which have a long history of immigration during the past decades. Each yearSweden receives numerous immigrants from different parts of the world, which has madeSweden to a multi-culture country.Aim: The aim was to describe nurses? experiences of encounters with patients from different cultures.Method: A literature-based study based on qualitative research, nine scientific articles were performed.Result: The analysis of the data resulted in four themes such as; insufficient communication, family members as a link to the patient, unfamiliar situation, and attentive to the patients? vulnerability with seven subthemes.Conclusion: For a well functioning encounter between nurse and patient from different cultures, a prerequisite is that the nurses establish a relationship based on good communication with the patient and relatives. This can prevent inequality, suffering based on lack of nursing, violation and misunderstandings..

Förmaksflimmer är en sjukdom som kan drabba en person när som helst under livet. Sjukdomen är klassad som en folksjukdom i sverige eftersom man beräknar att 1-2% av befolkningen lider av den. Personer som drabbas av förmaksflimmer går ofta länge, även efter en diagnos, utan att ha svar på de vanligaste frågorna kring sjukdomen, då de olika vårdenheterna i sverige inte har och därför inte kan ge adekvat och tillfredställande information. Syftet med denna studie var att ta reda på vilka frågor en nyligen diagnostiserad person hade, men också att ge en bild av hur en typisk person som kan drabbas av förmaksflimmer ser ut, samt undersöka om sociala medier kan ge stöd åt patienter som nyligen blivit diagnostiserade. Studien antar en kvalitativ ansats genom en beskrivande fallstudie och kommer fram till vilka de vanligaste och mest förekommande frågorna och funderingarna är, beskriver en stereotypisk person med förmaksflimmer och hur det gick till när sjukdomen först uppkom, och ger förslag på hur sociala medier kan ge stöd åt patienten i begynnelsen av sjukdomen.

Efter att inkomsten per person nått en viss nivå minskar istället föroreningsnivån med ökad inkomst per person. En tänkbar orsak är att individerna efterfrågar en bättre miljö när inkomsten ökar. Denna studie testar en medianväljarmodell på svaveldioxidmängden i luften genom att ta hänsyn till inkomstfördelningen som mäts med ginikoefficienten.

När en person drabbas av Alzheimers sjukdom faller ofta ett stort ansvar på närstående. Detta kan upplevas som krävande och ge upphov till bristande tillfredställelse i dagligt liv för närstående. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva närståendes upplevelser av god livskvalitet i dagligt liv med en person med Alzheimers sjukdom. Via en manifest kvalitativ innehållsanalys analyserades tio vetenskapliga studier. Resultatet presenterades i fyra kategorier: Att leva här och nu och anpassa sig till situationen, att känna välbefinnande och närhet i relationen med den sjuke, att känna styrka och trygghet i den religiösa tron samt att kunna dela sina problem med andra och få stöd i vardagen.

Forensic psychiatric care is a complex business. Patients who are cared for in forensic psychiatry are usually in need of care for a long time. The forensic care is a major intrusion into a person's life and the nurses and caregivers are the people who spend the most time with patients. They have a difficult mission providing a good and personalized care while patients are deprived of their liberty. Previous research demonstrates that patients experience forensic care as uncertain, insecure and punitive but that there are also glimpses of "good care".

The field of veterinary nursing should be based upon research and proven experience. Few studies have been performed within the area of distal limb bandages. Therefore the aim of this study was to examine and describe how to place a distal fore limb bandage based on proven experience. Data material was collected through four interviews with professional veterinary nurses, and then analyzed using a qualitative content analysis. In the analysis data material was transcribed and then divided into meaningful units that responded to the aim. The meaningful units were then condensed.

The aim of this study was to examine young people?s experiences of participation within the intervention Contact Person. Three questions were asked concerning young people?s experience of participation, aspects that promoted/limited the young people?s experience and the significance they attached to the intervention. The findings in this study are based on phenomenological interviews with five teenagers within the intervention Contact Person.

För att skapa kraftfullare presentationer måste nya metoder implementeras för att visualisera projekt. Ett aktivitetshus för ungdomar visualiseras i detta projekt genom att 3D-modellen av huset placeras i ett filmklipp från den plats där huset skall stå. Stegen som togs för att realisera detta var förarbete i form av inskaffande av ritningar, filmande, matchmoving, 3D-modellering, rendering, compositing och ljuddesign. Resultatet blev ett filmklipp som ur ett första persons perspektiv både visar exteriören och interiören..
