The purpose of this thesis is to examine how genealogists create identity through their own research, and how they live with their ancestors in the everyday life. The questions at issue are: How do genealogists deal with concepts like ?native home district?, ?heritage? and ?family?. Does it exist a problem in creating identity and how genealogists regard other people with a different background, for instance immigrants. This thesis consists of three parts: in the first I present my aim, questions at issue, my method with qualitative interviews, and my theoretical frame from sociology and anthropology.

He was born into a family of travellers, this has been a very important part of his upbringing, socializing and how society has viewed him.The purpose of this essay is to discuss how a society's values, and the changes in these values, are manifested in a life story. A person?s identity is created in the situations one is in and in the relationships with ones social contacts. A person has not just one, but several different identities that coexist and are highlighted depending on the situations in which we find ourselves.

Most of the stoma-operated persons must work themselves through difficult feelings. The task for the nurse is to deliver a care that promotes as much independence as possible. The aim of this literature review was to illuminate how the self-care agencies affect the well-being for the persons who are operated for stoma. A systematic literature study was done based on eleven scientific studies. Three categories, which describe how self-care agencies affect the physical, psychological and social well-being, are presented in the result.

The study focuses on mapping how well prepared the counties in the west region of Sweden is in case of restructuring. The study explores what kind of activities and routines that contributes to prepare the organization for restructuring. The study also aims to investigate the effect of precedent restructuring, and if the counties who experienced restructuring are more prepared than others.The research within the field of restructuring characterizes of an evaluating nature and the focus has been after the restructuring occurred. There have also been a lot of studies of the negative consequences on individual and organizational level. Since downsizing is a frequently used method by management despite its consequences is it important to investigate how organizations can learn and thereby be more prepared for restructuring.
Teamwork och det nya ledarskapet - en begreppsanalogi
The purpose of this essay is to further the understanding of contemporary management theory by conducting an analogy-study of the source to many of the terms today used in knowledge-intensive companies. The way a football club deals with knowledge work differs from how a conventional company deals with it. However, many of the terms, such as teamwork and coaching, are shared by the two types of organization. By using the analogy-method we hope to create a wider understanding for the shared concepts. We have used a hermeneutic perspective throughout the essay, which first and foremost means that we focus on understanding and explaining social phenomenons.
Ajourhållning av höjdkurvor
Det här examensarbetets syfte är att ta fram en metod för att på ett enkelt och effektivt sätt med låg mätosäkerhet ajourhålla höjdkurvor på platser där marknivån har förändrats i en omfattning så att kommunens höjdkurvor behöver revideras. Eftersom det tidigare inte har funnits en utarbetad metod för att ajourhålla höjdkurvor har jag fått pröva mig fram till en metod som har gett tillfredsställande resultat. Metoden som har tagits fram är lätt att använda och gör att man på ett enkelt sätt kan uppdatera kommunenens baskarta med ny information. Genom att mäta in punkter med hjälp av GNSS-teknik och sedan använda programmet AutoCAD Civil 3D, har det gått att få de resultat som eftersträvades. Metoden som tagits fram ger kommunen möjlighet att uppdatera mindre områden i sina kartor på ett enkelt sätt. Det som krävs är en mottagare som en person kan hantera, programmet AutoCAD Civil 3D och ett område som inte är större än att en person på ett rimligt sätt kan mäta in det till fots..

The purpose of this study is to investigate whether the employability of newly graduated social workers is affected by the Supervised Practical Work Experience performed during the educational program. Four main questions were developed in order to establish an educated and concise theory: Does the newly graduated social worker?s choice of a specific Supervised Practical Work Experience affect their employability? Does the structure of the Supervised Practical Work Experience affect newly graduated social worker?s employability? What specific skills do employers within social work consider important for their organization? Is there a difference in how the representatives of various organizations within social work answer the aforementioned questions? The study was conducted through six qualitative semi-structured interviews. The people being interviewed work either as employers or recruiters in organizations from different areas within social work. Theories concerning organization and symbolic interactions were used during the analysis of the results.
Privatization: What we learn from failure : A case study of Iran Air
This thesis was conducted to assess how the privatization of Iran Air process managed in last efforts and how should it be in right way. It increases the knowledge about privatization in Iran and the need for it. Iran air as our case study is a flag-carrier airline company that is protected by government regulations and subsidies. We try to find the reasons for failure of privatization in Iran Air and their attempt on privatization.The method used to collect data was a qualitative methodology, consisting of semi-structured interviews with relevant managers, and knowledgeable professors and the official sites and press. In conclusion, we find that privatization is an important need for Iran Air Company and the main problems that are against Iran Air can be categorized to political, financial, and social.

Bakgrund: Allt mer av den palliativa vården bedrivs i hemmiljö. Sjuksköterskor träffar ofta närstående som vårdar svårt sjuka och döende personer i hemmet. Vården idag tar inte vara på de närståendes möjligheter och kunskaper. Vårdpersonalen fokuserar på den sjuke och glömmer bort de närståendes behov. Syfte: Var att belysa närståendes erfarenheter av att leva nära en svårt sjuk och döende person i hemmiljö Metod: Metoden som användes var en självbiografistudie, där materialet analyserades med en narrativ metod.

Svenska Basketbollförbundets Regionsutvecklingsprojekt U15 : En studie av förändringsprocessen för regionsutvecklingsprojektet och regionsledarnas attityder till organisationsförändringen
In 2009, the Swedish Basketball Federation started a Region U15 development project in order to change the structure of the regional organization to get into a more transparent and similar operations throughout the country. My purpose is to study the attitudes to the change among the region leaders in the regional operations and evaluate the change from an organizational perspective. The study is primarily based on the following questions: What are the experiences of the change process among the region leaders in the regional organization? How involved have region leaders been in the changing process? Which are the positive and negative aspects with the regional operation today? What can be done further to develop the regional operation and to what extent do the organizational change follow general organizational theories? In my study, a qualitative method was used in terms of interviews with 8 regional leaders to understand their attitude to the project and the changing process. To analyze the results of the region leaders ?responses, a transcription have been made.

Närståendes erfarenheter av att leva med en person med traumatisk hjärnskada: en litteraturöversikt
Syftet med denna systematiska litteraturöversikt var att beskriva närståendes erfarenheter av att leva med en person med traumatisk hjärnskada (THS). Utifrån syftet formulerades tre frågeställningar: Vilka erfarenheter beskrivs i anknytning till relationen med personen med THS? Vilka erfarenheter beskrivs om information från vårdpersonal? Hur kan vårdpersonal hjälpa närstående att känna välbefinnande? Studien baserades på 22 vetenskapliga artiklar. Närståendes erfarenheter var ett ökat ansvarstagande och rollförändringar i relationen och kände oro, stress, ångest, ilska, och missbelåtenhet. Närståendes erfarenheter av informationen var att den var bristfällig, inadekvat samt svårförståelig.
