I denna uppsats har jag tagit reda på hur klimatförändringarna i framtiden kan komma att drabba Kalmar. Syftet med uppsatsen var att förklara för läsarna hur klimatförändringarna visar sig, hur de kan påverka städer och dessutom se hur de olika organisationerna som agerar inom kommunen och länet har planerat för detta och vilka kunskaper de har. Uppsatsen är skriven med en kvalitativ explanativ metod. Med hjälp av olika personer som jobbar inom berörda organisationer har jag kommit fram till att det största problemet som kan uppstå på grund av klimatförändringarna är översvämningar och stormar. Då Kalmar är en gammal stad som är uppbyggd nästan precis i strandkanten så skulle en permanent höjning av vattennivån medföra att stora områden i Kalmars centrala delar skulle kunna hamna under vatten.

Urban development in the Nordic countries is complex and there are different opinions as to why the Nordic cities emerge. It is important to shed light on the underlying process on why cities are emerging to provide clarity as to why Visby city is emerging.

Fast uppkopplade larmnät används för att åstadkomma övervakad och säker överföring av larm och annan information mellan tekniska system för skydd och säkerhet. Larmöverföringen är ständigt övervakad från larmanläggningen ända fram till larmcentralen. Ett problem som idag finns i larmnät är att om man tappar kontakten med en larmsändare så vet man bara att man tappat kontakten, men inte varför. Därför vill man nu utveckla ett instrument som kan mäta och kontrollera vad som orsakar att uppkopplingen bryts t.ex.

Forensiska tekniker såsom fingeravtryckstolkning har under senare år genomgått stora förändringar vad gäller exempelvis tekniska hjälpmedel, dock är människans roll i tolkningen fortfarande central i processen. Denna studie syftar till att öka kunskaperna om individernas kognitiva processer i tolkning av fingeravtryck genom ett experiment där fingeravtrycksforensiker, forensiker från andra fält än fingeravtryck samt noviser fick avgöra huruvida ett antal fingeravtryck härrörde från samma finger eller ej.  De kognitiva processerna studerades utifrån att testpersonerna fick rapportera sin tankar verbalt i form av att ?tänka-högt?. Resultaten transkriberades och analyserades sedan med mixade metoder (mixed methods), det vill säga med både kvantitativ och kvalitativ metod. Resultatet visar att fingeravtrycksforensiker signifikant bättre kan lösa denna typ av problem jämfört med övriga forensiker och noviser, men att det fortfarande finns kognitiva processer hos fingeravtrycksforesnikerna som medför risker i form av bias i förfarandeprocessen..

The purpose of this thesis is to evaluate the retrieval effectiveness on the European Unions official website EUROPA, depending on which language is used to formulate the search question. Our main concern were if you get access to the same information depending on which language is used to search information The European Union has so far eleven official languages, and with the forthcoming expansion with negotiations with thirteen new countries to affiliate to the union by May 1:st 2004, the official languages will be even more. We have made a comparison between Swedish and English, using 29 different topics from which we formulated 2x29 queries. The topics used were found at the Swedish Governments FAQ about the European Union, EUsvar. We wanted the topics to be as authentic as possible to avoid bias.

This essay concerns dance as an exhibition object by examining the permanent exhibition at The Museum of Dance in Stockholm, Dansmuseet. Due to its dependence on the temporality and movement of the lived body, dance does not easily lend itself to being exhibited in a traditional exhibition display; and since the live dance performance itself is ostensibly absent at the exhibition display, other means of representation must be relied upon in order to evoke the exhibition visitors? experiences of time and movement as well as the feeling of dance. Starting from a phenomenological first-person perspective, as an exhibition visitor, I present three ways in which such experiences may come about. The cross-section of the experience evoked and the means that trigger them are intermedial, spatial, and performative taking their departure in the visitor?s pre-understanding of dance..
