The aim of this essay is to answer the question of how ? in what ways ? Jeanette Wintersons Written on the Body and Sarah Waters? Tipping the Velvet are queer texts. My method is that of a thematic analysis, focusing on words and phenomenon related to definitions of the multi facetted term ?queer?. The analysis covers themes of lesbian focus, performativity, performance, speech-acts, and heteronormative and queer relationships.

The purpose of this study has been to maintain a deeper understanding of how unestablished, professional musicians can get discovered by the music industry by communication, branding and positioning of their brand at social media.We found that fans have a greater impact on unestablished musicians than we previously thought. They have to create an identity for their brand, keep active on social media and engage their fans. Musical artists must maintain an ongoing dialogue to keep their fanbase, preferably with emotions involved. No fans equals minimum attention from the industry. Uniformity and professionalism is also important, because it evokes seriousness.

Introduktion: Operationssjuksköterskans roll har under årens lopp förändras i takt med vetenskapliga framsteg inom kirurgin. Operationssjuksköterskan har i olika utsträckningar fått ett större ansvar inom perioperativa omvårdnanden som inkludera pre-, intra- och postoperativt.Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva operationssjuksköterskans uppfattning av ansvaret i den perioperativa omvårdnaden.Metod: Sex intervjuer genomfördes med operationssjuksköterskor vid ett sjukhus i Norrland. Insamlad data analyserades med hjälp av kvalitativ innehållsanalys.Resultat: I textanalysen identifierades fyra kategorier: Kontinuerligt utvärderande av det egna arbetet, Kompetens ger större ansvar, Upplever att en ökad patientkontakt skulle förbättra vården och deras kompetens och Operationssjuksköterskan har en egen uppfattning om hur hennes ansvar att följa riktlinjer och rutiner ser ut.Diskussion: Operationssjuksköterskorna upplevde att nya rutiner utvecklades då fel uppdagas. De beskrev ett mångsidigt arbete som var mer än bara instrumentering, och en ökad patientkontakt uppgavs kunna bidra till att vinna kunskap, både tekniskt och omvårdnadsmässigt. Hur ny information och nya riktlinjer och rutiner användes var i viss grad beroende av operationssjuksköterskan som individ.

Europe has, since the economic crisis of 2007, gained increasing social segregation. The gap between rich and poor has increased and the large number of hidden statistics regarding people excluded from the labor market is greater than in many years. Social exclusion has thus taken a toll on community groups that already before the crisis had a hard time getting included. Groups such as young, elderly, immigrants and people with mental of physical disabilities. To curb this development, the European Commission have, since the 2004 directives, enabled public sector clients to, through procurement of goods, services and contracts, include measures that promote social consideration.Social consideration is a term that have been a part of Swedish procurement legislation since 2007, and was updated in 2010.

Hot och våld är vanligt förekommande inom psykiatrisk slutenvård och utgör ett betydande problem både för patienter som vårdas och för de sjuksköterskor som arbetar inom psykiatrisk verksamhet. Det finns ett ansvar hos sjuksköterskor inom psykiatrisk vård att hantera situationer med patienter där inslag av hot och direkt våld är en realitet utan att tillfoga patienten onödigt lidande. Det krävs kunskap och erfarenhet men också en förståelse inför patientens situation och egna upplevelser. Forskning som rör arbetsmiljön inom psykiatrisk slutenvård visar på att förekomst av hot och våld kan innebära relativa arbetsmiljöproblem för de sjuksköterskor som arbetar där. Detta kan resultera i psykosociala problem och med minskad arbetsglädje som följd.

ABSTRACTIntroduction: An increasing number of patients in Sweden receive epidural anaesthesia (EDA) in connection to surgery. Caring for patients with acute pain is a responsibility that is strongly established within the profession of the nurse anaesthetist. If the care provided by the nurse anaesthetist for patients who receive epidural anaesthesia is to evolve then further insight and knowledge is required regarding the individual´s experience.Aim: To describe patients' experiences in receiving epidural anaesthesia based on an earlier perioperative start-up of the EDA.Method: Based on a qualitative approach, the aim is to conduct semi-structured interviews with patients who receive EDA in connection to abdominal or gynaecological surgery. Research subjects' statements in the context of the interviews will be transcribed and then analysed using qualitative content analysis. In order to evaluate the chosen method regarding data collection and analysis model an exploratory pilot study was conducted.

Menopause is a complex, paradoxical totality and every menopausal experience is differentfrom the other. This essay aims to capture some of the experiences surrounding it.The main questions is what it is that the women of the study share about menopause, andhow they talk about it. The material consists of interviews with eight women from the ages 51to 81, all of whom are either in menopause or have come out of it, and narratives collectedpartly on my own website ?Övergången? (?Transition?) and on the Internet via blogs and adiscussion board on menopause.Using Goffmans theories on interaction and roles and theories about gender and age as asocial construction I discovered that it is ambiguous messages that are thrown at the middleaged woman in menopause. Menopause is not always a welcome part of the role as a woman.The menopause is also associated with aging and a woman is expected to experiencemenopause during a certain age and period in the life schedule, often the middle age.

This examination project is an investigation about the opinion and comprehension for political engagement of four young municipal politicians. The purpose with this project is to describe and understand the pronounced comprehension for political engagement. There is also an intention to investigate the educational in discussing political engagement with students in social studies at upper secondary school. The method that has been used is ?map of conceptions? because of its appropriate way to elucidate the comprehension and understanding of a certain subject. Those four young municipal politicians see political engagement as the will to improve the community. There is also an importance to have a large engagement in more areas than just one.

ABSTRACTThe purpose of our study was to examine how four different organizations cooperate on rehabilitation of people to get them back to employment. More specifically our aim was to investigate how different organizations in a project, involving workrehabilitation, looks at cooperation. Our main questions were vague at the beginning of our study, but finally our focus became clear. The questions were formed with help from the research of Hjortsjö (2006) and Fridolf (2000): Which possibilities and hindrances identify the different organizations which cooperate? What does cooperation mean to the representatives from the different organizations which are included in KARB? Our result shows that the respondents mostly think positive of the project KARB.

Introduktion: Forskning kring omvårdnadsteori har ända sedan Florence Nightingales tid varit aktuell. Utvecklingen har resulterat i många olika riktningar. Syfte: I denna uppsats var vi intresserade av att belysa aktuell forskning av omvårdnadsteoretiska strukturer och vilka tillämpningsmöjligheter samt vilka effekter/konsekvenser dessa kan ha för omvårdnadsinnehållet inom perioperativ omvårdnad.Metod: Genomgång gjordes av vetenskapliga artiklar vilka söktes fram i databaserna PubMed och Cinahl tillika relative links samt genom manuell sökning. Metoden för artikelanalys har präglats av den hermeneutiska spiralen. Resultat: Fyra olika kategorier av perioperativ omvårdnadsteoretisk struktur ur tre olika perspektiv utkristalliserades.

Bakgrund: I litteraturen finns evidens att använda dubbla lager av operationshandskar vid all kirurgi för att förebygga smittspridning mellan patient och personal samt för att förebygga vårdrelaterade infektioner. Operationshandskar kan ha olika tjocklek och taktil känsla beroende på latex eller latexfritt material. Trots att evidens finns att använda dubbla lager operationshandskar förekommer variation i användandet.Syfte: Syftet med studien var att undersöka om operationssjuksköterskor och kirurger väljer enkla eller dubbla handskar vid operationer, samt hur de motiverar sitt val.Metod: Operationssjuksköterskor och kirurger från två operationsavdelningar i Mellansverige undersöktes i en tvärsnittsdesign med intervjustödda enkäter. Flera deltagare intervjuades flera gånger.Resultat: Totalt inkluderades 66 deltagare i studien och 137 intervjuer genomfördes. Nästan hälften av deltagarna motiverade sitt val av handskar med rutin eller vana.

Den berörda organisationen hade implementerat ett nytt arbetssätt, "Medarbetarskap och Ledarskap". Studien är en utvärdering på individnivå av hur arbetssättet påverkat undersökningspersonerna. Nitton personer med olika befattningar deltog i undersökningen som utgjordes av enskilda intervjuer och fokusgrupper. Samtliga intervjuer spelades in med diktafon och transkriberades därefter ordagrant. Resultatet visade att medarbetarna var negativa till arbetssättet, delvis på grund av hur pengarna satsades, men det framfördes även kritik beträffande innehållet.

The main purpose with this study is to make the modified parenting visible in relation to the school over time. How have the views of parenting and support, by the pedagogues and the parents, earlier been interpreted and how is it today? The results of the interviews, which were more like an everyday dialogue, were analyzed through a phenomenological effort with a hermeneutist method interpretation. The theory connection has mainly consisted of relevant terms for this study.I have come to the conclusion that parents today feel that they have an extended responsibility when it comes their own children?s knowledge.

Music has a role to play in every country and every culture. Sweden today is a country whith many different cultures, religions and music genres. The purpose of this investigation is to study how immigrants youths profit from music education on the basis of music teachers' perspectives. Questions at issue are: are there immigrant children/ youths who can not take part in music education? Have the students' religions any importance? Do the parents question the offered education? Is there more opposition to some specific kind of music? Are teachers avoiding to present some music? Can music education help the immigrant youths to form their identities? I have used questionnaires and I have made five interviews.

In this Bachelor Thesis (20 p.), we present the history and development of "Intelligent Houses", and most important- explore some of the future possibilities in this area. The project has been carried out through an interdisciplinary cooperation between three different educations at the Blekinge Institute of Technology. By conducting a dialogue with various actors with different professions, we have been trying to identify needs within the concept of "Intelligent Houses", were the end user is not only the tenant or homeowner. Through Participatory Design methods, such as a Future Workshop, we have brought the users together to discuss their own and each others needs and hindrances in their respective work practice, and how intelligent house technology could improve their work conditions. We have also been testing a highly sophisticated CO/CO2/Moisture/Temperature/Enthalpy multi-sensor & controller, originally developed for regulating indoor climate systems.
