The aim of this thesis is to practice the theoretical methods that are concerned during the product development process of two new products. The theoretical concepts that embody the two products are created out of a product specification which is given by a commissioner with a private interest. The primary tasks of the design of the concepts are aimed on the products shape, which is to be created as a flexible structure by using silicon rubber as material.The storage box is a further development of the already known food storage box, or lunch box, which is common used in consumer kitchens. The main idea is to design a flexible product by using silicone rubber. It will able the storage box to be compressed when it is not used, be storage friendly and not consume more space than necessary in a storage compartment.

iPad som pedagogiskt verktyg i grundsärskolan : Några lärares beskrivningar av hur de arbetar med iPad i ämnet svenska

The aim of this study is investigating how some Elementary School teachers of special classes describe how they use iPad as an educational tool when teaching Swedish. To find out I have carried out an interview investigation. I have analyzed results using theoretical concepts from the sociocultural perspective, scaffolding and artefacts.The cummulative result shows that teachers describe that they practice linguistic consciousness and that pupils are trained in writing Swedish in this subject. Another result shows how all teachers describe that they work face-to-face with pupils using iPads in Swedish lessons. Further results show how teachers present possibilities of using iPad as an educational tool when teaching Swedish.

?Jag vill ha dialog,  men bara så länge  vi pratar om mig.? : Om svenska finansiella företags kommunikation i sociala medier

Företagens kommunikation på sociala medier är en relativt ny företeelse och som sådan är den outforskad och bruket varierar mellan företagen. Vår studie syftar till en ökad förståelse för företagens kommunikation på sociala medier, främst genom en kartläggning av företagens bidrag till kanalerna.Vi har använt oss av en netnografisk metod för att samla in materialet och har sedan tolkat och kategoriserat materialet i en metod som bär drag av grundad teori.Materialet består av 1318 inlägg på Facebook, Twitter och LinkedIn, och dessa inlägg har analyserats med hjälp av parametrar både av kvantitativ och kvalitativ art. Flera av de kvalitativa parametrarna har kategoriserats för att därefter kvantifieras för analysen.Resultaten visar en sammansatt bild av företagens kommunikation på sociala medier. Ett tydligt resultat är att inläggens innehåll domineras av ?Information om företaget och dess tjänster?, samtidigt som inläggen på olika sätt signalerar att företagen söker dialog med läsaren.Företagens kommunikation kontrasterar därför delvis mot de råd som finns att tillgå från den litteratur med råd och ?best practice?, där företagen får råden att söka dialog och att sträva efter relevant innehåll.I någon mån kan vi alltså säga att företagens kommunikation blir tudelad, med en dialogisk del och en egocentrisk..

VÄGAR TILL REFLEKTION : Avdelningschefers uppfattningar inom somatisk omvårdnad

De senaste årens strukturella förändringar i svensk hälso- och sjukvård har påverkat vårdpersonalen i det sjukvårdande arbetet såväl fysiskt och psykiskt. Kontinuerlig återkoppling genom reflektion kan vara ett verktyg för avdelningschefen att leda utveckling, lärande och förnyelse i omvårdnadsarbetet. Studiens syfte var att genom fenomenografisk ansats beskriva avdelningschefers uppfattningar av reflektion i omvårdnadsarbete.Analysen av 15 intervjuer resulterade i fem beskrivningskategorier av reflektion: kunskapsintegrerande, bearbetande, utvecklande, arbetsledande och patientinriktad. Den kunskapsintegrerande reflektionen fångar studenternas utbildning som kan användas i omvårdnadsarbetet. Genom bearbetande reflektion skapas en fortlöpande tankeprocess av omvårdnadsarbetet.

Most of my 16 students show a negative attitude towards mathematics and have difficulty understanding why they need mathematics to work as cooks. Their lack of knowledge has a negative effect on their work in the kitchen because they cannot master relatively simple mathematical solutions. The purpose of this study is to examine if an integrated working method of the subjects mathematics and cooking can change students? attitude towards mathematics and increase their understanding of the value of it in restaurant work. An integrated working method means to integrate the core subjects with programme specific subjects and that teaching is directed towards the main features of the vocational programme in order to create a holistic view.A theory of action research has been applied in this study, aiming to change something perceived as problematic through combining theory and practice in the cooking subject.

Kunskapen, professionen och makten ? En kvalitativ studie om socionomens villkor och förutsättningar

My main purpose with this study is to investigate how the social worker relates to knowledge, power and profession. From this purpose has also the concept ?to be a social worker? emerged.The study is based on a qualitative study and consists of semi-structured interviews with seven social workers from different fields of expertise.The result of the study shows that the knowledge is dependent of different fields of expertise. But in the contact with the client, regardless of field of expertise, the knowledge is gathered through a reflective pattern. Through theoretical attempts and earlier experience from social workers, this is brought to life in this unique meeting.

Delegation of assignments regarding the work environment is a complex topic that is difficult to illustrate. It is not explicit mentioned in the law and the established practice are ambiguous and vague. This has caused a lot of confusion, not only for private companies but also for executives within public administration.Metso paper Karlstad Inc. gave us the assignments to investigate their delegation system and to analyze the need of change before a planed readjustment. The purpose of this essay is therefore to investigate how the proposed delegation system is constructed and whether it fulfills the demands established by Swedish law.

Omsorgspersonals kunskaper och inställning till de boendes munvård

Physiotherapists treat people with different views of the world and medical beliefs, which require a good understanding of cultural differences. One way to achieve cultural understanding is through self-reflection in a new context. During five weeks the authors, two physiotherapy students, completed a clinical practice at the rehabilitation center Pina Palmera, Zipolite, Oaxaca, Mexico. At the beginning of the period a critical incident was chosen, when the head physiotherapist for the ward Cuidados Especiales intended to sell jewellery to the authors during a treatment of a patient. The authors have by using the reflection framework "Framework to guide reflective process", and Interpretive Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) for analysis, discussed different ways of communication, adherence, education, and self-reflection and critical thinking.

The study deals with the causes of unjustified differences in pay between women and men in the banking sector. The purpose of this paper has been to examine how a gender project implemented in the private banking organizations from a gender-and implementation perspective. The aim of the project examined is to even unjustified differences in pay between men and women in the banking and finance sector. The main issues are: ? How has the project been implemented and what are the real and perceived results? ? How can the opportunities and barriers to successful implementation course with emphasis on gender? This paper will try to create an image of what Islamic banking is in theory and in practice. This will be done by looking into the different methods of interest free banking, the Quran and the annual reports of four Islamic banks in different countries.

Hyperthyroidism and chronic kidney failure (CKD) are common diseases in older cats. It can be difficult to evaluate kidney function in cats suffering from both conditions simultaneously. In the daily clinic serum creatinine is the analysis of choice when evaluating kidney function and secondary glomerular filtration rate (GFR). This marker does not, however, detect kidney damage until about 75 % of the function is lost. There are several other techniques available when investigating GFR but none are readily available for the small clinic.

Lärare och elevers attityder kring feedback - En studie inom SO på mellanstadiet

Swedish school children's results have deteriorated in recent years and formative assessment is, in accordance with previous research, a way to develop students' learning and performance. A part of formative assessment is based on feedback that students should receive before, during and after a new assignment. In this study, we want to find out how students and teachers apprehend students' development in relation to feedback and what general attitudes towards feedback can be seen in both parties. The literature and theory discussed is linked to formative assessment, both at international and national level where many important aspects of formative assessment are essential in relation to pupils' further development. The theories are based heavily on human interaction and socio-cultural perspective as a concept.
