Bakgrund: MRSA är i dagens samhälle ett globalt problem. Denna bakterie producerar ett enzym, vilket gör en del antibiotiska läkemedel verkningslösa. Flertalet MRSA-infekterade patienter upplever negativa känslor till följd av infektionen. Dessa tros orsakas av bristande kunskap hos både sjuksköterskor och patienter.Syfte: Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att belysa patienters upplevelser och erfarenheter av att vara MRSA-infekterad.Metod: I litteraturstudiens resultat har 9 artiklar med kvalitativ ansats sammanställts. Dessa har analyserats med inspiration från det beskrivande metasyntestänkandet.

Bakgrund: Vår självskattade fysiska självkänsla är av betydelse för vår motivation att vilja vara fysiskt aktiv. Det har även visat sig i tidigare forskning att högre fysisk självkänsla påverkar elevers resultat i skolan positivt. Syftet med arbetet var att se vilka samband det fanns mellan fysisk självkänsla och elevers närvaro i idrott och hälsa. Metod: Två klasser på en skola i sydöstra Sverige deltog i undersökningen, HT -12. Studien bygger på en kvantitativ undersökning i form av en redan framtagen enkät: ?Sådan är jag! ? barn?, även kallad CY-PSPP (Children and Youth ? Physical Self Perception Profile).

Purpose/Aim: This study is an analysis of the view on masculinity, male sexuality and creation of identity with the television series Queer as folk as a base. The analysis is partly based on a semiotic analysis of the representation of masculinity and male sexuality from an episode of the chosen television series Queer as folk, and partly based on a thematic analysis of focus group discussions with young men with different sexualities.Material/Method: This study is based on focus group interviews and a semiotic and thematic analysis. The focus groups consisted of three men in three different groups and were chosen on the criteria of gender and sexuality. All groups were presented with an episode of the television series Queer as folk to see how they perceived masculinity and male sexuality. Their discussions were analyzed with a thematic analysis and the television series Queer as folk with a semiotic analysis.Main results: The three analyzed characters in Queer as folk showed different representations of masculinity and male sexuality.

The cultivation theory claims that it is just the amount of TV that shows an effect on consumers and their Perception of reality, like for example the mean world syndrome. But the theory has been criticized for not considering the possible effects that are actually related to other variables. These variables have weakened or totally eliminated the effects, previously explainedby TV, in later control studies of the cultivation theory.

For the past decades, culture has been given a role as a factor for local and regional development. But what is meant by development and in what ways culture can be of importance in this aspect can be unclear. This thesis examines the Perception of the role for local and regional development of one specific cultural place and network ? the cultural cooperative Not Quite in Fengersfors, Sweden. I study the way the role as developer is expressed and interpreted in the discourse of the cultural workers who are members of the network and in the discourse of public cultural policy in the region Västra Götaland and in Åmål municipality.

Private individuals can voluntarily buy EU Allowances (EUA) in order to remove them from the European Union Greenhouse Gas Emission Trading System (EU ETS). It leads to progressive reduction of total carbon dioxide emissions in Europe. Kalmar Energi offers customers to obtain one EUA (equivalent to one ton of CO2) per year by paying 25 SEK a month as a KlimatEl-supplement. The purpose of this research is to examine the customers? attitudes in the issue of climate compensation and trying to define the reasons behind their choices.The results of the quantitative questionnaire were analyzed by using descriptive and analytical statistical methods and have shown some correlation between customers? ages and decisions to accept or not the offer of KlimatEl.

Hippoterapi är en behandlingsform där man som fysioterapeut använder hästen som verktyg för att träna och/eller lära in funktioner som en individ saknar. Balans, Perception, kroppskännedom, koordination, sittfunktion och styrka är funktioner som hippoterapi kan främja. Cerebral pares är ett motoriskt funktionshinder till följd av en hjärnskada, där man ofta har en problematik med just dessa funktioner. Behandlingen av cerebral pares inriktar sig på de funktionsnedsättningar som skadan orsakar, varför hippoterapi kan vara en del i behandlingen. Syftet med denna studie var att göra en litteraturöversikt över användandet av hippoterapi som fysioterapeutisk behandlingsform för barn och ungdomar med cerebral pares.

This study focuses on aspects of cult experiences, given by deconverted formermembers of closed religious movements. Their testimonies were published inbooks or interviews. The aims of the study were to understand the interactionbetween the religious group and its members, living in high tension towardsmainstream society and their testimonies of altered self-esteem during attraction,membership, deconversion and defection. The purpose was to understand how aperson´s self-esteem is affected by inner mechanisms of closed religiousmovements and how these experiences affects a persons identity. Another aspectwas whether there might be differences in altered self-esteem, between those whoenlisted as adults, and those who were born into the closed religious contexts.Social Identity Theory, Sigmund Freud´s and Carl Rogers models of personal egowere used as models of interpretations.

The design of packages is something that product manufacturers put great effort on. The package is often the consumers' first interaction with a product and consumers judge the product based on the package. A common way to evaluate a package design is to let respondents look at a package and answer which attributes they think the product has. This paper wants to take this evaluation a step further, i.e. it examines if consumers experience differences in taste between two identical products that have different package designs.

Bakgrund: I sitt arbete möter sjuksköterskor individer som är allvarligt sjuka eller som tagit emot ett negativt besked. En sådan svår situation kan leda till en kraftfull psykologisk reaktion och om inte individens bemästringsförsök räcker till kan tillståndet leda till psykisk kris. Personer runt den drabbade, såsom närstående, påverkas av situationen och kan uppvisa liknande mer eller mindre kraftfulla stressreaktioner och även psykisk kris. Det är sjuksköterskan ansvar att omhänderta och informera den närstående. Att dessa möten är av god kvalitet är viktigt för att den drabbade ska kunna bearbeta den psykiska krisen.

Syfte: Studiens syfte var att undersöka samband mellan hur universitetsstudenter skattar sin fysiska aktivitetsnivå och hur de registrerar aktivitetsnivå med hjälp av dagbok samt att se om de kom upp i ACSM (American College of Sport Medicine) och WHO´s (World Health Organisation) rekommendationer.Metod: Studien hade en icke experimentell, deskriptiv och korrelerande design där 26 försökspersoner, två män och 24 kvinnor, rekryterades via anslag. De fick först svara på en enkät och därefter registrera sin aktivitet via en 7-dagars aktivitetsdagbok.Resultat: Studenterna ansåg inte att de hade en stillasittande livsstil och alla deltagare utom en ansåg sig komma upp till ACSM´s rekommendationer av fysisk aktivitet 30 minuter per dag av måttlig intensitet alla dagar i veckan. Trettiofem procent kom inte upp i WHO´s rekommendationer och av dessa överskattade 67% sin fysiska aktivitetsnivå. Sextiofem procent kom inte upp i ACSM´s rekommendationer och av dessa överskattade 94% sin aktivitetsnivå.Konklusion: Studenterna hade en låg fysisk aktivitetsnivå utifrån ACSM´s rekommendationer och majoriteten av de som inte levde upp till WHO och ACSM rekommendationer överskattade sin fysiska aktivitetsnivå. Det krävs dock mer omfattande studier för att dra några generella slutsatser då denna studie hade en skev könsfördelning och ett lågt antal deltagare.Keywords: Self-estimation, Perception, Activity diary, Physical Activity level, Overestimation. .

Background: Rheumatoid arthritis is a common disease worldwide. The disease is described as a chronic inflammation that afflicts mainly the joints, the tendrons and the synovial joint. The inflammation breaks down cartilage, ligaments and bone. When the patient gets the diagnosis he/she frequently reacts with chock, denial or/and dissociation. Active support from the nurse can have an important impact on the patient in accepting and processing that he/she suffers from disease.

A part of the midwife?s profession is to promote and support breastfeeding. The objective of this study was to describe the Perception of the level of support and advice regarding breast-feeding given to women who have received postnatal care at maternity wards, and to present the opinions of the aforementioned women on how this support could be improved.Method: Women who have given birth at Uppsala University Hospital were routinely asked to fill in internet-based questionnaires regarding their views on the care that they have received. In this study, our data consists of the feedback from four questions in these questionnaires regarding breast-feeding. The answers to the closed questions were presented with descriptive statistics and the comments on two open questions have been analysed with content analysis.Results: Out of 622 women who were cared for at the hospital?s maternity ward after giving birth, 83% stated that they were very satisfied or satisfied with the information and support they received about breast-feeding, and 78% expressed the same views regarding the delivery ward.

Varje år drabbas 10 000 människor av plötsligt hjärtstopp utanför sjukhus. De personer som överlever ett hjärtstopp kan bli aktuella för behandling med en Implanterbar Defibrillator (ICD).  Denna har funnits i bruk sedan 1980. Antalet implantationer ökar och utvecklingen går ständigt framåt. Sjukvården har en viktig roll i att stödja, utbilda och informera patienter och deras anhöriga så att de kan anpassa sig till det nya livet som ICD bärare.Syftet var att belysa ICD-bärares upplevelser av förändrad livssituation. Detta gjordes genom en litteraturstudie.
