It becomes increasingly more difficult to stand out among the personal sites on the internet today and to become the one who actually gets remembered in the crowd. To be remembered, you need to have a useful website but also a creative appearance added to it.In this practical thesis I have focused on how a website should look like according to users and then added a creative look to the user-friendly website. The purpose of the study is to find out how to connect a useful website with a creative appearance. In order to do that, I first had to find out what users actually want. I used a survey in which I have asked questions about how a website should look like.

Mandometer® är ett medicinskt hjälpmedel som används för att normalisera ätbeteende hos personer med övervikt och ätstörningar. Mandometer® har utvecklats av Mando Group AB och används i behandling på Mandometer- och Mandoleankliniker i Sverige, USA och Australien. Det har nyligen skett en utveckling av Mandometer® från generation fyra till generation fem. Den nya versionen består av en tunnare våg och en mobilapplikation, istället för en våg och en bärbar dator. Det finns ingen tidigare studie kring den nya versionens användarvänlighet.

Denna studie berör hur man skapar en användbar och säker webbutik och onlineportfolio för en konstnär eller fotograf. Tanken är att sälja in deras konstverk med en app som använder Augmented Reality genom att visa hur tavlan ser ut på väggen med en smartphonekamera. Studiens fokus ligger på användbarhet och design i webbutiker för att öka kundförtroendet, interaktion med tilltalande användarupplevelse samt för att sälja in tavlorna. Efter att ha studerat användbarhet, kundcentrerad webbdesign och designteorier för framtagandet av interaktiva system, togs skisser av både webbutik och prototyp till app fram. Prototypen testades i samband med semi-strukturerade intervjuer.

The large number of surrendered and feral cats is a big animal welfare problem all over the world. Populations of feral cats arise through a large number of unwanted cats which can lead to surrender of these, through cats allowed to roam free outside which can lead to the owner losing these and through the reproduction that occurs amongst these surrendered or lost cats. One aim of this study is to give an account of this problem. It is however difficult to draw general conclusions about these populations of cats since studies all over the world has been carried out on different types of populations, during different conditions and different periods of time. The welfare of many of these cats is presumably low because they are exposed to risks as disease, starvation, climate, traffic, other animals and humans.

In this report I seek to answer which ranking factors that should be included in an SEO-audit of an existing webpage and also how to optimize a webpage for search engines. Applying the method heuristic evaluation normally used to discover usability issues in an existing interface, on TT News Agency?s campaign site I found issues having a negative impact on the visibility in Search Engines Page Results.

Syftet med rapporten är att belysa lärbarhetsaspekten som en del av användbarhet. Diskussionen grundar sig i ett större projektarbete om BG Faktura, en produkt från Bankgirocentralen. Bankgirocentralen gav i uppdrag att ta fram metoder, testanvändare och att samordna en användbarhetsanalys på BG Faktura. För att få fram användbarhetsproblemen genomfördes ett flertal utvärderingar; en heuristisk utvärdering, en kontextanalys och empiriska användartester. Då utvärderingsmetoderna resulterade i många användbarhetsproblem skapades en prototyp med modifieringar av BG Faktura enligt de rekommendationer och förslag som kommit fram i testerna.

Projects are often spoken of in the terms of rational systems. However, some researchers point out the relevance of viewing projects as sets of relationships. Little is published about what aspects of relationships that are important for the managing of projects. We have argued for the necessity of such research. With previous research, our case study and interviews we indentified communication, responsibility, cooperation, togetherness and trust as important relational aspects in projects.The overall perceived success for projects in this case, was increased with the adoption of new agile methods.

Over 90% of forestry work is carried out today by contractors, thereforeclear agreements between the client and the contractor it is of utmostimportance. Contract Packages for work within the forest sector (APSE) is acollection contract templates that the industry jointly developed for thispurpose. The purpose of this thesis is to examine how forest contractors doto keep themselves updated of the current laws and government regulations,which channels are available to accomplish this and what possible obstaclesmay occur. 20 interviews were conducted with contractors engaged inlogging. The results show, among other things, the availability of and whichchannels most contractors use out of which aggravating circumstances existand how strong they are perceived and what is expected of the client in thisregard..

The aim of this study was to try to get an overall image of how participation is constituted in the organization of AMA, a Human Service Organization (HSO) that is part of the Vasteras municipality.  With focus on mainly participation but also communication and leadership the goal was to find out more about how the governing parts of the organization was able to communicate and create participation amongst their employees. Did the message come across? Using a triangulation method including interviews, surveys and observation hopefully this question would be answered along with trying to depict an overall image of the participation within the organization. The results indicated that there were both differences as well as similarities between the employees and the management with regards to how they experienced participation. A surprising result was that the geographical location was found to have an impact on how the staff perceived participation.

This study aims to disclose how an asymmetric planogram structure of the brand with the highest actual variety may come to affect the brand itself and its category as a whole. The authors of the study feel that there is a gap still unfilled amongst previous extensive research examining how differences in either space or price vary between categories, products or brands. An in-store experiment was conducted by collecting quantitative data from daily sales, observations of customers and questionnaires. The results show that an asymmetric structure leads to customers being more attentive towards the brand, and perceives it to be more dominant over its surrounding competitors. Furthermore, results indicate that the customer perceived variety increases and we see tendencies to changes in sales..

Arbetet handlar om användbarhet i små SharePoint-projekt. Med användbarhet omfattas faktorerna användarvänlighet, anpassning och användaracceptans. Små SharePoint-projekt (på under 300 timmar) innebär att det finns mindre resurser för att tillämpa användbarhet.Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka utvecklare inom SharePoint sina åsikter och förhållningssätt kring användbarhet, samt hur användbarhet bäst kan uppnås i små projekt med begränsade resurser.

In today?s business environment, cost-cutting practices such as downsizing and layoffs remains a widespread phenomenon. Although, the understanding of the effects that these practices has on the remaining individuals, defined as the survivors, is poor. The focus in this paper is therefore to examine how survivors of layoffs can be affected on an individual level, and by what causes.The study was conducted using open-ended, qualitative interviews with three individuals with different experiences of layoffs. The empirical data was analyzed by extracting quotations from the interviews.The study found that layoffs affected the morale and attitude towards management of the individual, and that perceived justice and uncertainty are two causes of negative effects from layoffs..

Denna rapport tar upp teorier och metoder kring användbarhet i skapandet av en Flash-applikation. Rapporten beskriver steg för steg i skapandeprocessen, hela vägen från att ta fram behov och användningsområde till att skapa innehållet och slutligen en utförlig redogörelse för hur applikationen sammansätts. Metoderna som använts är huvudsakligen ITK (Identity Tool Kit) och scenarier enligt Alan Cooper. Vidare har metoder för hopsättning och visualisering av applikationen använts med stöd av Nielsen och Raskins användbarhetsprinciper. Resultatet visar att för att använda ITK i syfte att kartlägga en verksamhet, kräver detta en stor förståelse och modifikation av denna.

IKEA HaparandaTornio employ some two-hundred people in its furniture retail store.Keeping track of staff statistics and employee information has previously been achievedthrough the use of a basic Microsoft Office Excel spreadsheet. The store?s human resourcesdepartment requested an upgrade to this system with the hope of speeding up andsimplifying the administrative process, as well as to make it easier to monitor HR-relatedtarget statistics. The following report documents the development process of that upgrade ascarried out by the author. The project draws on research in usability design and cognitivepsychology to develop a user-friendly interface.
