Three main questions give the fundamental structure for this master thesis: 1) In what way is the notion of law being perceived in the following theologians respectively; David P. Scaer, Dietrich Bonhoeffer and Wolfhart Pannenberg? 2) In what way is the notion of law being perceived in the encyclical Veritatis Splendor? 3) Which similarities and divergences can be found in the respective expositions of the notion of law?For the purpose of comparison, I have employed four questions of analysis. These are: A) What is ?the law?? B) Is the law being effected, or is it working, in the world and if so - in what ways and for what purposes is it meant to serve? C) Does human beings have any capacities to understand and/or live in accordance to the law? D) Does the Gospel, perceived as the earthly life, actions, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, effect any alteration with respect to the purpose, range, function or interpretation of the law?In order to better understand Roman-Catholic concepts of law, the treatise on law of Thomas Aquinas Summa Theologica is briefly presented.

Popular culture is a phenomenon of growing importance in the society today. Children and teenagers are increasingly using popular culture in their everyday life to reflect and answer questions about their identities and the meaning of life. Swedish primary and upper secondary schools are expected to prepare their students for adulthood and to provide them with tools to explain understand and problematize contemporary society. From this perspective it is relevant to question whether the schools achieve this and whether the instruction given there represents the contemporary society. For the purpose of knowing more about how popular culture is perceived and dealt with in the Swedish education system, this study examines how eight textbooks in Religious Education (RE) and the national curriculum for upper secondary school discuss and treat popular culture.  The study focuses on when and in what ways the textbooks mention popular culture and if the curriculum provides any supportive base for including popular culture in religious education.

Practical and theoretical learning are methods that are used in schools as a way to prepare students for the working life. Within the practical learning knowledge is not only acquired to learn in practice, but the students must also be able to apply their theoretical knowledge to what he/she does. Against this background, the aim of the study was to investigate the importance of practical learning for students in college / university level and how they are experiencing the stress that may arise out of the loss of practical learning during their education, as well as their vision for working life after completing their education. The population of the study consisted of N = 36, which 18 of these had used both practical and theoretical learning and the remainder had only used theoretical learning. The method was a questionnaire survey with a high proportion of fixed alternative answers according to likert scales.

Hälsosamma levnadsvanor är en viktig förutsättning för att skapa en positiv hälsoutveckling och kostvanor, fysisk aktivitet och stress är faktorer som påverkar hälsan. Till följd av den senare tidens förändringar i samhället har befolkningens levnadsvanor förändrats till en mer ohälsosam kost, fysisk inaktivitet, och stressen har ökat. De förändrade levnadsvanorna har påverkat folkhälsan, och att satsa på dessa områden i folkhälsoarbetet kan ge betydelsefulla hälsovinster. Landstinget Västmanland driver ett projekt med syftet att främja hälsosamma levnadsvanor. I projektet ingår ?Kom i form gruppen? som är en gruppverksamhet som inriktas på kost, fysisk aktivitet och stress.

This study examines how labeling and framing influence experts? perceptions of armed conflicts and conflict resolution. The study is based on framing theory, Bargaining Theory and Social Trust Theory. The study investigates whether a conflict labeled as religious is perceived to be more difficult to resolve than the same conflict labeled as political or without any label at all. The study is conducted as a survey experiment on a sample of experts in peace and conflict, combined with a qualitative analysis of the respondents? reasoning.The results show no statistically significant differences between the groups regarding the perceptions of the conflict?s solvability or the strategies for conflict resolution.

Bakgrund: Stress är ett stort problem i vården, kvinnor som arbetar i vården har betydligt större risk för arbetsolyckor och belastningsskador jämfört med andra yrkeskategorier. Vårdpersonal anser i större utsträckning än genomsnittet att de har för mycket att göra. Långvarig stress kan leda till en rad negativa konsekvenser för individen, försämrad prestationsförmåga, kronisk trötthet, depression och värk är bara några exempel. Problemformulering: Arbetet på en vårdavdelning ställer höga krav på sjuksköterskan. Sjuksköterskan är spindeln i nätet, den som alltid ska finnas till hands och hålla alla bollar i luften.

SammanfattningSyftet med denna uppsats är att beskriva och belysa vilken psykisk stress samt press många unga vuxna människor i vårt moderna samhälle lever med. Den psykiska hälsan hos åldersgruppen 16-24 år blir sämre för varje år och jag anser att politiker och makthavare måste få upp ögonen för detta växande problem. Frågeställningarna söker svar på vilka faktorer och katalysatorer som utlöser ohälsosam stress hos den unga generationen samt om det finns någon gemensam nämnare i fenomenet. Detta är en kvalitativ studie med hermeneutisk ansats som innebär att gå från del till helhet och förståelse till förklaring, upprepade gånger ända tills en huvudtolkning träder fram. Tanken med hermeneutiken är även att studien tar sin början där förförståelsen har nått mättnad.

The aim of the study is to examine which present conceptions of sexuality there are in treatment of substance abuse for men. The intention is to examine how staff members in these environments perceive clients? sex and sexuality as well as studying if and in that case how they work with sexuality in treatment. A qualitative method formed the methodological approach and semistructured interviews were carried out for the collection of data. Four staff members from two different treatment institutions for substance abuse were interviewed.

Under de senare åren har rapporter visat på att de psykosociala arbetsmiljöproblemen är framträdande inom skolan och lärare är en av de yrkesgrupper där de flesta långtidssjukskrivningarna beror på stress. Vidare tillhör lärare den yrkeskategorin som har högst arbetskrav, minst egenkontroll och sämst socialt stöd, vilka alla är faktorer som har betydelse för den arbetsrelaterade stressen. Enligt Skolverket är var femte lärare är idag i riskzonen för allvarlig ohälsa. Under 1990-talet var den svenska skolan föremål för omfattande förändringar, den så kallade decentraliseringen, vilket medförde nya styrformer, nytt betygssystem, minskade resurser, färre pedagoger, större klasser/barngrupper, nya arbetstider, individuell lönesättning och nya arbetsformer. Lärare upplever att förändringarna har medfört att arbetet har blivit mer intensivt.

Syftet med denna uppsats är undersöka hur eventuell ekonomisk knapphet påverkar utomeuropeiska studenters livssituation under studietiden vid Umeå universitet. Samt att belysa den förmodade stress de lever i och genom det skapa en bild av hur deras verklighet ser ut och hur de hanterar sin situation. Fyra personer har intervjuats och en deltagande observation med en person har genomförts, totalt blev det fem informanter som bidragit till vår studie.Resultatet visar att samtliga deltagare upplever ekonomin som den största stressoren, därför tvingas många att dela studentrum med andra. På så sätt blir hyreskostnaderna lägre. Den visar även på hur vissa arbetsgivare drar nytta av en del studenter som är i behov av pengar, där löner befinner sig under acceptabel nivå och arbetstagarna upplever lågt beslutsutrymme i arbetet.

The purpose of this study is to examine how outdoor education (friluftsliv) in upper secondary school is perceived by both students and teachers, and to identify the conditions that influence their motivation and commitment to participate in outdoor education activities. The study also aims to analyze the significance of students previous experiences on their perceptions of outdoor education in school. The following research questions were investigated: ? ? ? ?Which factors do students and teachers believe promote or hinder students engagement in outdoor education in upper secondary school? ? ? ? ?How do students and teachers explain the ways in which previous experiences of outdoor activities affect students engagement and motivation in outdoor education? ? ? ? ?How do students and teachers perceive that organizational conditions and teaching design influence the possibilities of creating meaningful outdoor education? The study is theoretically based on Self-Determination Theory (SDT) (Deci & Ryan, 2000) and Sense of Coherence (SOC) (Antonovsky, 1991). SDT was used to understand how autonomy, competence, and solidarity influence student?s motivation, while SOC highlights how comprehensibility, manageability, and meaningfulness shape student?s experiences of outdoor education.

The relationship between employer and employee is, from a judicial point of view, governed primarily by economic and employment contracts. However, a significant part of the dynamic is also dictated by tacit expectations and promises (so called psychological contracts). The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between perceived organizational support (POS) and psychological contract violation. Primary hypothesis assumed that there was a correlation between higher perceived organizational support and a reduction of feelings of violation from psychological contract breach. It was also assumed that employment time, sex and past breach experiences correlated with feelings of violation.

Triage, which means "to sort", determine the priority of the patients need of care. The aim of the present study was to describe nurses? perception of triage at a pediatric emergency department. A questionnaire with open- and closed-ended questions were distributed to all 25 nurses that worked at a pediatric emergency department. The answer frequency was 48 % (n=12).

 Denna uppsats belyser problematik som personal inom vård och omsorg upplever till följd av kravfyllda arbetsmiljöer. Den tidigare forskningen belyser arbetsrelaterad stress med utgångspunkt i vårdpersonalens bristande kontroll, stora engagemang och viktiga roll som förebilder. Utifrån detta perspektiv fokuserar uppsatsen på betydelsen av krav, kontroll, socialt stöd samt relationen mellan prestation och belöning i relation till upplevelsen av arbetsrelaterad stress. Den enkätundersökning som genomfördes i ett privat vårdföretag (n=11) visar att det finns ett samband mellan arbetsrelaterad stress och upplevelsen av kontroll respektive socialt stöd. Resultatens tillförlitlighet diskuteras i termer av genomförandet av enkätundersökningen och nyttan med densamma utifrån den låga svarsfrekvensen.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to do a brand survey of Metro in Karlstad. The study will originate from the terms ?brand identity? and ?brand associations?, where the brand identity is the organization?s desired view of the brand, and the brand associations define the associations held by the consumers.Issues: What is Metro?s brand identity? What are the brand associsations of Metro in Karlstad? How well do the brand identity and the brand associations correspond?Theoretical framework: The study is done from the perspective of media and communication studies, where the theoretical terms are defined from literature regarding brands.Method: The study is carried out using a qualitative document analysis, interviews, and a quantitative survey. The document analysis was made on Metro?s own documents regarding values and target audience.
