Sammanfattning Bakgrund Mukosit är en biverkan av cancerbehandling. Mukosit innebär skador på det ytliga cellskikt som täcker hud och slemhinnor. Det kan orsaka smärta och besvär i munnen som gör det svårt för patienten att äta. Besvären kan orsaka behov av sjukhusvård samt avbrott i cancerbehandlingen. Syfte Syftet med studien var att beskriva sjuksköterskans omvårdnadsåtgärder i samband med mukosit. Metod En allmän litteraturstudie utfördes och analys av resultatet inspirerades av innehållsanalys. Databassökningen i Cinahl och Medline resulterade i nio artiklar.

Bakgrund: Varje år får ca 300 barn och ungdomar i Sverige cancer. Barnets insjuknande innebär en stor omställning för hela familjen och kan leda till en psykisk belastning för föräldrarna. Vårdpersonalen har då en viktig roll, för att föräldrarna ska känna trygghet i situationen. Föräldrars behov av omvårdnad bör tillgodoses, så de i sin tur kan ge stöd åt sitt barn. Familjefokuserad omvårdnad har använts som teoretisk referensram i studien.

Cancerrehabilitering definieras som en process vars mål är att förebygga och minska följder av cancer och cancerbehandling samt utgå från patientens problematik. Flera studier har visat att rehabilitering kan minska cancer- och cancerbehandlingarnas biverkningar. Syftet med studien var att kartlägga arbetsterapeutiska interventioner relaterade till personer som lever med cancer. En litteraturstudie med data från elva studier som representerade både kvantitativ och kvalitativ forskning genomfördes. Resultatet visade att vardagliga aktiviteter är viktiga för att patienterna ska kunna skingra sina tankar men även för att öka sin känsla av att vara kunnig.
