Vad gör de på biblioteket? ? En undersökning om ungdomars biblioteksvanor
The aim of this Master?s thesis is to investigate the library habits of young People, age 15 to 24. Our empirical data are gathered in a survey distributed to 104 young men and women at three different public libraries. The questions are about how young People use the public library, what media and services they use and whether or not they are content with what the public library can offer them. In our analysis we have compared our results to previous research and used a model by Marianne Andersson and Dorte Skot-Hansen to determine how they use the library.

The study aims to examine how the People who have received special needs education during their schooling have experienced it.Since I wanted to take advantage of People's experiences of special needs education, I chose to conduct qualitative research interviews. Five People in the ages of 21-26 years old participated in the study.A summary of the work says that special needs education creates mixed feelings, feelings of joy and alienation. The positive as described in the work is that the special education teaching has created a classroom that is aligned along the pupil's needs and circumstances. All informants have expressed that their negative experiences is about them having to leave the common classroom.Keywords: exclusion, inclusion, special needs education, student needs.

Abstract The present study examined if early deaf People and People with severe hearing loss perceive visual information differently than hearing People. An experiment was conducted with eight deaf participants and eight participants with normal hearing. The participants were between the ages of 18-74 years. The participants were asked to look at fifteen different images portraying manipulated illusions, and then assess if the images were of the same size. Subsequently another image depicting a different illusion with a face hidden in it was presented to the participants.

This qualitative study examines how emergency People are framed in Swedish evening-, and local newspapers during the forest fire in Va?stmanland, Sweden 2014. The study also includes if there is any difference between the framing due to the location of the newspaper. The study is based on qualitative text analysis. The theoretical basis is representation, framing theory, media image, media logic and a few conceptions from crisis communication theory.

As a complement to this,and to illustrate the modern usage of music for mind-altering purposes, the essay alsostudies a selection of digital sleeping aids ? apps.The study shows a complexity since the phenomenon can be viewed from severalangles that are not always consistent with each other.

The purpose of this essay was to investigate the opinions of young People, age 14-16, at a school in a middle-sized city in Sweden, concerning narcotics. The questions we asked ourselves were;-What are young Peoples' ideas of narcotics?-What do young People imagine when they think of a drug addict?-What reasons do young People give to start using narcotics?-What gender-related opinions do young People have regarding drug abuse?-What do young People think about legalization of narcotics?For this purpose we interviewed six girls and six boys. We interviewed them one at a time, for about an hour each. We used a qualitative method for the interviews.The young People in our study described narcotics as "dangerous".

The purpose of this study is to examine how the work with young People at home to care and accommodation (HVB) are organized in a municipality outside Karlstad and how the staff perceive emotions in the workplace. The issues that are discussed are based on the concepts of social ties, emotional labor, roles, shame and pride. The number of People who are fleeing in the world is today about 51 million. There has not been this high since World War II. The Swedish Migration Board calculated that about 7,000 of these People were unaccompanied children and came to Sweden in 2014.

The purpose of this study was to explore young People's participation and experience of participation in child protection investigations. The study was conducted using qualitative methodology and is based on interviews with four adolescents aged 13-19 years old who have experience of child protection investigations. Our chosen method has made it possible for us get a deeper understanding of young People's own experiences of participation. In order to analyze the material we have used Shiers (2001) model of children's participation, symbolic interactionism, and some concepts relating to shame and pride.The results show that all adolescents have had the opportunity to be heard during the investigations, but it is different to what degree they feel that someone has listened to them.Two of the young People have been involved in their investigation, been listened to and have had impact on the decisions taken. The results indicate that it does not seem to be the external factors, such as how many meetings they have had, or what quality it was on the information, that matters if the social worker did not manage to convey to the young People that what they told was of any importance.
Om bemötande på ett kommunalt särskilt boende : vårdbiträdens upplevelser av kränkande anhöriga
The purpose of this study is to investigate how activities in elderly care matters to well-being among elderly People, from both user perspective and staff perspective. The study is made out of a qualitative method, this to create a deep-going understanding of how the People participating in the investigation are experiencing the impact of activities on well-being from their unique situation. Personal interviews have been used as method. Six persons were participating, three elderly persons and three persons working as staff. All interviews were made in a ?short-time? ward in the county of Västernorrland.The result of the investigation shows that the elderly People that were interviewed not directly related the participation in activities to feelings of well-being.

This thesis is based on a study conducted at the City Library Dynamo in Gothenburg where data have been collected through qualitative interviews with young People aged 15 - 25 years. Our intention was to examine what young People think about the City Library Dynamo as a venue, and how they perceive its activities and functions.In order to compare two different cultural venues for young People, where Dynamo is one, interviews were also conducted at a location other than the library, at Arena 29, a cultural activity house for young People in Gothenburg. Twelve qualitative and semi-structured interviews were conducted in order to collect data which was then transcribed and structured. As a theoretical framework we have used the new model for the public library, developed by Hvenegaard, Jochumsen and Skot-Hansen 2010.Our result shows a thoroughly positive image of the City Library Dynamo, particularly as a meeting and study place. Young People stated that they felt welcome and that the City Library Dynamo was designed and tailored to match their needs.

This study is about information needs and library habits among newly retired People. The purpose of this master thesis is to examine the affective and cognitive needs that come with retirement. In what way do the information needs of this group change due to retirement? In order to answer this question we make use of two theoretical models; Role theory and Wilson?s model of information needs. When it comes to library habits, we use Andersson and Skot-Hansens model to examine how newly retired People use the library now and how they could use it on basis of their needs in their new role.
Kommer boken? : uppsökande verksamhet för funktionshindrade på Uddevalla stadsbibliotek ? en organisationsstudie
The purpose of this Master Thesis is to investigate the quality of the library service at the City Library of Uddevalla. In particular this thesis will examine the quality of the library service to People who are disabled. This applies particularly to the service to People with reduced ability to move or to see, which also includes People with infirmities due to old age. We also have investigated how well the library itself is adapted to the disabled. In order to get more information about the library service to People who are disabled, we have studied literature on this subject and the Master Thesis contains a summary of those documents.
