Många och gamla! - Hur vill 40-talisterna ha sin framtid inom äldreomsorgen?Syftet med den här studien är att undersöka hur fyra informanter, vilka är födda mellan åren 1940 till 1949, ser på sin framtid som eventuellt hjälpbehövande inom äldreomsorgen samt vilka behov, farhågor och förväntningar de har.  För att utföra denna studie har vi använt oss av en kvalitativ metod med intervjuer, där fyra informanter, två kvinnor och två män deltog. Intresset för studien och framtidens äldreomsorg är stort. Det märktes inledningsvis i studien att många ville få chansen att komma fram och berätta om deras känslor i ämnet.

SammanfattningI dagens samhälle och framför allt i media talas det idag mycket om den stora mängden 40-talister som har börjat och som ska gå i pension. Det talas om att dessa blivande pensionärer kommer att ta med sig mycket viktig kompetens som är av stor vikt för de verksamheter där de arbetat. Denna kompetens, menar media, är oerhört viktig att bevara så att det fortfarande finns verksamheter som utvecklar sig framåt, istället för att gå bakåt. Media menar också att den försvinnande kompetensen leder till en kris och är ett stort hot mot arbetsmarknaden. Syftet med vår undersökning är att undersöka och jämföra olika verksamheters handlingsplaner för att hantera de stora pensionsavgångar som sker då 40-talisterna lämnar arbetsmarknaden. Våra frågeställningar är: Hur ser verksamheterna på de stora pensionsavgångarna av 40-talister, som målats upp som ett stort hot i bland annat media?Vad använder verksamheterna sig av för metoder för att bevara och utveckla den kompetens som finns? In addition, China's enormous potential in finance, service, infrastructure, telecommunications, wholesales and retail industries will also attract a great deal of foreign capital.
