Bakgrund: En ökning av självskadebeteende som lett till sjukhusinläggning i Sverige har redovisats, vilket visar på ett behov av ökad medvetenhet och kunskap kring området. Beteendet är vanligast förekommande bland tonåringar och unga vuxna, och används som en strategi för att hantera emotionell smärta. Tidigare forskning visar att patientgruppen generellt inte är populär bland sjuksköterskor. Samtidigt poängteras vikten av en terapeutisk relation mellan patient och sjuksköterska för tillfrisknandet. Syfte: Syftet med denna studie är att belysa sjuksköterskors upplevelser av att vårda patienter som lider av självskadebeteende.

This thesis aims to explore how medical social workers/counselors perform their workwith people during crisis and how they accumulate and practice scientific crisisknowledge. This study is an empirical research paper based on qualitative interviewsconducted with eight medical social workers. The data was analysed with Kvalesmodel for categorization, which constitutes the basis of the research. The results ofthe research was then analysed with the use of Cullbergs crisis theory and a model ofevidence based practice which is described by Topor and Denhov. The results showthat the medical social workers practice the evidence based practice model, describedby Topor and Denhov, in combination with Cullbergs crisis theory.

Aim: The aim of this study was to examine health professionals´ experiences of giving advice regarding sleep to parents of infants and to perform and evaluate an intervention in the form of introducing information about the sleep of infants.Method: The study was designed as an intervention study with a qualitative approach where data was collected from two focus groups in the form of interviews. The intervention consisted of the information material Sugen på sömn. There were five participants whom three of them participated in the second interview. The interviews were processed by content analysis.Results: Health professionals´ experience of giving advice on sleep was summarized in three themes. The experiences of giving advice in interaction with parents, health professional themselves experienced the power to influence the parents with the advice they gave, while the parents' previous experience and knowledge impacted on how the advice came into practice.

Vid palliativ vård av barn är det viktigt att besittakunskap inom både palliativ vård och barn då det är en komplex situation. Tidigare forskning har visat på svårigheter och kunskapsluckor inom den palliativa barnsjukvården. Syftet med studien var att belysa sjuksköterskors erfarenheter av att vårda barn i ett palliativt skede. En litteraturstudie genomfördes, där tio artiklar granskades, bearbetades och analyserades. Artiklarnas resultat kategoriserades i fyra grupper: erfarenhet av stöd och relation, erfarenhet av vårdorganisation, erfarenhet av den professionella rollen samt erfarenhet av förändring utav behandling.

There is no general aging process therefore should health efforts directed at elderly population based on each individual as a unique person with specific needs. When aging becomes a fact not generally decrease the lust and the desire to be active but it is perhaps more about the body's ability to keep up on what the head wants. Therefore the range of activities towards the elderly population requires some adjustment that can partly be achieved by taking some of the older people?s experiences. The purpose of this study was that by the older people?s experiences of organized activities in a social context to illustrate how they perceive their participation.

Syftet med denna kvalitativa studie var att beskriva föräldrars erfarenheter av kommunikation med skolsköterskor. Skolsköterskor arbetar med hälsofrämjande och förebyggande omvårdnad och möter barn i deras vardagsmiljö i skolan flera gånger under barnens skolgång. Den hälsofrämjande omvårdnaden är som mest effektiv om det finns ett samarbete mellan skolsköterskor och föräldrar och det är viktigt att kommunikationen dem emellan fungerar väl. Intervjuer genomfördes med en grupp föräldrar för att få kunskap om hur de erfor kommunikationen med skolsköterskor. Genom en innebördsanalys av innehållet i intervjuerna framkom fyra innebördsteman: Skolsköterskors förmåga att förmedla engagemang och omtanke, Skolsköterskors tillgänglighet för skolbarn och föräldrar, Oklarheter kring skolsköterskeprofessionen kan påverka kommunikationen samt Informativ kommunikation- positiva och negativa erfarenheter.

Background: People who is close to patients suffering from incurable diseases experiences both suffering and grief. It is hard to be there for someone and at the same time handle your own grief. This can create feeling of anxiety, stress and guilt. Problem: Near related persons might not accept the further loss of someone near, the hope remains until it is final. The aim of this research paper is to explore men?sspecific experiences of intimate partner violence in heterosexual relationships in a Swedish context, through a gender perspective and with a qualitative research approach. The aim of this essay is to get a deeper understanding of a teachers' profession and to get knowledge of how earlier experiences can influence you as a teacher. I have interviewed a female teacher, Pia to get this understanding. As a tool to get the teacher's whole story I used the life story method. In her profession she is influenced by her own importance of security as a child.Her own needs of security has given her an deeper understanding for pupils like herself during the childhood; insecure and afraid. Her understanding for all kinds of behavior among the children has increased by her own experiences.The story shows that Pia is frustrated by the fact that she can't control her own working time.

Background For patients in need for psychiatric care who refuse treatment, coercive care might be necessary due to The Law of Psychiatric Compulsory Care, LPT. The purpose of this law is to make sure the patient later on will be able to increase autonomy. The most frequent patients in coercive care suffer from psychosis, heavy depression or having high risk of committing suicide. One of the most important tasks in the nurse profession is to increase patients? autonomy.

Sjuksköterskestudenter som gör utlandspraktik i ett utvecklingsland erfar upplevelser som påverkar studentens framtida profession, internationella perspektiv, personliga och intellektuella utveckling. Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva sjuksköterskestudenters upplevelser av att göra utlandspraktik i ett utvecklingsland som Sri Lanka. Metod: En kvalitativ empirisk studie genomfördes som grundades på subjektiva dagboksanteckningar i berättelseform. Datainsamlingen har analyserats med kvalitativ innehållsanalys.

This Thesis in Military Technology deals with experiences drawn from the forced introduction of Weapons Station 01, 2009. The work aims to identify the experiences regarding the forced procurement of military equipment to see how they can develop normal and fast procurement of equipment.
