Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to highlight three preschool teachers and three child nurses? views on the educational work tool pedagogical documentation and Reggio Emilia educational philosophy, often associated with pedagogical documentation. Preschool teachers and child nurses? are all employees under the same pre-school director, and works on three preschools located in the same area. The purpose of the selection of respondents is based on highlighting how far the staff describes the concept of educational documentation, and pedagogy of Reggio Emilia, and how far their statements are consistent with each other or not.Questions: The thesis is based on three questions;How does preschool teachers and child nurses? describe pedagogical documentation?How does preschool teachers and child nurses? describe the Reggio Emilia pedagogical philosophy?If there are differences between the preschool teachers and child nurses?, what could these mean for the pedagogical documentation in preschool?Method: The study is based on empirical data collected through qualitative interviews.

The grain market is facing substantial changes. Sitka spruce (Picea sitchensis) is a tree species that have its natural distribution along the West Coast of North America, from Alaska in the north to northern California in the south. Sitka spruce is a typical coastal tree species that can reach heights up to 85 meters and occurs in single pure as well as in mixed stands. The main purposes of this study were to describe the Sitka spruce growing characteristics and the volume production in comparison to spruce (Picea abies). The possibility to predict future volume production by using prognosis tools designed to be used on spruce were also studied. The material that has been used in this study are permanent sitka trials established by the Faculty of Forestry fixed Sitka trials and also material gathered in this study. A literature study was also carried out in order to determine the Sitka spruce growing characteristics. Sitka spruce has a high adaptation and a high volume production on a broad scale of soil types. The tree species is a pioneer species that has a fast early growth and in combination with sharp needles it is less susceptible to animal browsing than spruce. The factor that is the single most limiting factor for where the Sitka spruce can be planted is frost. This factor can be limited by using plant material with a well-suited provenance. According to the literature, the Sitka spruce has an average total volume production that is between 20-40% higher than spruce.

The purpose of the study was to identify and analyse the implications of client virtualisation in company environments. The study chose to focus on the aspects of the current hardware, license management, application management, maintenance work and the implications virtualization would have on these. Choosing a new plastic material for a container includes several different steps. In this case,the Finnish company Hackman needed a new type of packaging material for theircutlery- and kitchentool series »Hackman tools«. The project was carried out in cooperationwith the design agency Ytterborn & Fuentes, which has Hackman as a client.Several different demands were put on the material in order to fulfill as many of the clientswishes as possible. The most urgent problem with the existing container was the difficultysfor the customer to clearly see the contents in the container. SammanfattningMålet med det här arbetet är att analysera två pedagogiska metoder för barn med utvecklingsstörning, närmare bestämt TEACCH-metoden och Lilli Nielsens pedagogik, när det gäller kunskapssyn och då framförallt aspekterna hur barnet med utvecklingsstörning tillägnar sig kunskap och vilka former denna kunskap tar. Avslutningsvis undersöks vilka kategorier som kan identifieras ur de analyserade texterna (citaten).För att samla in data har jag använt mig av litteraturstudie men för att tolka och bearbeta data har jag valt att använda mig av kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Litteraturstudie innebär att jag söker efter specifika svar i litteraturen som jag sedan jämför.När det gäller frågeställningen hur barnet med utvecklingsstörning tillägnar sig kunskap enligt TEACCH-metoden har jag funnit följande kategorier: Strukturerad miljö, strukturerade aktiviteter och? hand på hand-metod?. När det gäller frågeställningen vilka former denna kunskap tar enligt TEACCH-metoden har jag funnit följande kategorier: Faktakunskap och Färdighetskunskap.

The municipalities of Sweden have a great responsibility when it comes to adapt the physical planning to a more sustainable development. The development of the society depends upon the growth of new communities and other public services, but to build new communities in a long-term sustainable manner you need good methods and guidance. This study presents four sustainability certification scheme intended to improve and adapt the planning, implementation and performance of new communities and infrastructure project to more sustainable methods based on economic, ecological and social sustainability. These systems are the latest versions of environmental classifications and similar rating schemes, but with a broader focus since they also include the social aspect of sustainability.This study aims to investigate what role sustainability certification schemes can play in local planning for sustainable development. The study compares the certification systems criteria to the tools and goals that the Swedish municipalities have been provided with, to lead efforts towards a more sustainable society.

Uppsatsen syftar till att få kunskap om aktörernas handlingar med utgångspunkt i en lärare/elevinteraktion.Undersökningen är en kvalitativ studie där vi genom observationer i årskurs 7 och 9 vill visa på flödet av händelser i klassrummet. Vi diskuterar och analyserar interaktionen mellan lärare och elever utifrån följande aspekter: Relationer i klassrummet, gester, inflytande och delaktighet, ramfaktorer samt makt.Våra resultat visar på att interaktionen som uppstod i klassrummet mellan lärare och elev inte gynnade elevernas möjligheter till inflytande över undervisningen. I det stora hela hade eleverna inte så mycket inflytande över sin situation och det inflytande de hade var främst formellt och ytligt. Eleverna fick säga vad de tyckte men då inget mervärde lades i deras tankar och åsikter påverkade de inte sin situation överhuvudtaget. Det är tydligt att det sker en trög maktrelation i klassrummet eftersom eleverna inte är jämställda med läraren.

This essay is a study of the use of IT technology by teachers of English and History at a Swedish upper secondary school. It is based on four interviews and four observations. In my analysis of these I have made use of the theory of Social Shaping of technology, a theory which puts emphasis on a teacher´s purpose regarding the use of IT technology in order to empower the teaching process. As a researcher I aim to explore the reasoning on the part of the teacher and to that end I use the method of interviews and observations. This study shows different ways of using IT technology varying from one teacher to another.

Competence Portals are software tools that are intended to make it easier for persons that have had no previous contact to find and contact each other. The portals can address areas ranging from finding an expert within an organisation to the marketing of the competence of a region or a research centre to other organisations. The purpose of the thesis is to examine the necessity of Competence Portals in research-intensive organisations. Important characteristics of the information in such portals have been identified and used as a basis for recommendations regarding how Competence Portals could be designed. Furthermore, the thesis focuses on the task of finding a source of knowledge within an organisation.

The purpose of this media scientific study is to contribute to a better understanding about how blind people?s empowerment and participation may affect their role in the digital society.Earlier international studies in this area have shown that blind people not only need more knowledge then the seeing population about the computer, but also about the technology behind their tools for using Internet. The results from these studies have also shown that Internet increases the blind people?s independents and that those who use Internet feel more involved in the society.A qualitative method was chosen to study the three most common categories from the earlier studies: knowledge of technology, empowerment and participation. Are there differences in the results compared to our study in Sweden 2014?Interviews with eight blind, experienced computer users have shown that knowledge of technology is essential for their use of Internet and that the Internet increases their empowerment and their participation.
