The numbers of mergers and acquisitions have increased significantly in the last period of time. Although this popularity for mergers and acquisitions, most of the mergers and acquisitions fail to create value. One explanation to this failure of value creation is, according to several studies, how companies treat integration of information systems in the pre-merger evaluation. The research within the field argues that information system integration should have a proactive role in mergers and acquisitions, meaning that information system integration should support the organizational change and normally be considered in the premerger evaluation. The aim of this thesis is to study issues that affect whether companies choose to consider information system integration proactively, when involved in mergers and acquisitions.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate how a public library, as an information center and a meeting place, may contribute to bring Swedes and immigrants closer to one another, which is a prerequisite for integration. To realize this purpose, I have asked three questions. Which conditions and demands are stated in central documents for libraries immigrant activities? What do the library called Biblioteket Västers multicultural activities contain? How does the library conceive its object to strengthen immigrants identity so that its activities, contribute to integration? As method, I have used hermeneutics, which means that I have interpreted the thesis material. In the theory I have described relevant literature and confirmed the importance of identity, language and the majoritys acknowledgement for integration.

Funktionsinriktad musikterapi (FMT) är en musikterapimetod som används för att stödja individen i dennes utveckling oavsett ålder och funktionsnivå. I examensarbetet analyseras på vilket sätt FMT kan stödja barn med autism i deras utveckling. Hur kan sensorisk integration hos dessa barn stimuleras i FMT? Av fallbeskrivningarna framgår det att de två barn som fick FMT båda har visat tecken på positiva förändringar inom samverkan/kommunikation, motivation, språkutveckling, perception och rörelsekoordination. Sensorisk integration ingår i alla dessa moment och det är därför svårt urskilja den som en separat funktion.

Studiens syfte är att ta del av hur förskollärare beskriver vad som kännetecknar pedagogisk dokumentation samt hur de arbetar med den i verksamheten. Vi vill även belysa vilka möjligheter och begränsningar som förskollärarna ser i sitt arbete med arbetsverktyget. Intresset för ämnet har skapats under utbildningen och VFU (verksamhetsförlagd utbildning) då pedagogisk dokumentation förefaller vara ett arbetsverktyg som blir allt vanligare i förskolan. Det är en kvalitativ studie där semistrukturerade intervjuer har valts för att samla in det empiriska materialet. Studien baseras på fyra intervjuer med förskollärare som alla har läst eller läser kursen Pedagogisk dokumentation med IT-stöd på högskolan i Skövde.

As scholars argue, there has been a rapid diffusion of civic integration policies in Western Europe the last decade. In the light of the debate about the extent of civic integration policies, recent studies have shown that the diffusion is limited to certain countries. Despite a flurry of literature based on civic integration policies, attention drawn to the implication of these policies has been quite inferior. This paper tries to examine what civic integration policies means in relation to immigration. Are civic integration policies used as an informal tool for the purpose of limiting certain groups of immigrants? I argue in this paper that the conditional factor in the civic integration policies creates a barrier for affected immigrants and their possibilities to gain long term residence.

Companies will increasingly begin to link their applications, and the technology that makesthis possible is called integration. The more applications that are connected, the more of the company's data flows through these integrations. It is also clear that data analyses to create business value and to get competitive advantages against its competitors are important. In this paper, we examine how companies create business value and competitive advantages throughthe integration platforms and metadata from the integrations. We have interviewedpeople from three companies in the industrial sector, each with an integration platform.We have also interviewed Enfo Zystems, a company that provides development andmanagement of integration platforms to these customers.

I läroplanen för förskolan (Lpfö 98/10) lyfts vikten av att pedagoger kontinuerligt dokumenterar och utvärderar den pedagogiska verksamheten. Syftet med denna studie är att syliggöra förskolepersonals olika uppfattningar av pedagogisk dokumentation samt kritiska och etiska aspekter. Studien är utformad från en fenomenografisk ansats vilket innebär att individers uppfattningar är i fokus. Studien är baserad på sex pedagogers uppfattningar av arbetssättet.  Resultatet tyder på att det finns olika sätt att se på vad pedagogisk dokumentation innebär och vad dess syfte är. Reflektion uppfattas vara en central del och är avgörande för om dokumentationen är pedagogisk eller ej.

The purpose of this thesis was to investigate thephenomenon language café, an activity that is held in public libraries into which anyone is welcome who wants to practice their skills in Swedish, and see how this can be put in relation to integration. To reach the purpose we developed two research-questions; What does the language café fulfill for its participants? and How can the language café contribute to the promotion of integration? The study is based on semi-structured interviews with seven participants from language cafés. The theory used to analyze the results from the interviews is the Swedish sociologist José Alberto Diaz theory about the integration process which can be divided into seven dimensions. The findings of the thesis were that the language café can fill the function as a place to Speak Swedish, for Community-information, a place to meet and a place for trust and self-confidence.

The focus in this study is on the situation of Roma in Sweden. The purpose is to see the integration strategies that are reflected in Swedish politics, considering the inclusion of Roma. Idea analysis has been used as method, and I have analysed the text to find expressions of four different ideal types that represent four different types of integrations processes. The material consists of the government?s strategy plan for the Roma?s inclusion in Sweden between 2012-2032.

The aim of this study is to discuss the implementation of Swedish integration policy from the perspective that public officials, so called front-line bureaucrats, are the real creators of this policy. The concept of integration is far from unambigous; it can have different meanings depending on the theoretical perspective applied. This give topical interest to the question of how the concept is conceived on the national level versus the implementation level. I also aim to uncover how these front-line bureaucrats look upon their role as creators of integration policy. My material consists mainly of interviews with front-line bureauctrats.

Syftet med min studie är att få veta hur den pedagogiska utvecklingen bedrivs i arbetslaget, med fokus på pedagogiska diskussioner, utvärdering av undervisningsmetoder och diskussion om aktuell forskning? Jag har genomfört en kvalitativ undersökning i form av intervjuer. I undersökningen deltog två rektorer och två lärare med det pedagogiska utvecklingsuppdraget från tre olika gymnasieskolors omvårdnadsprogram, var av en är en friskola. Resultatet visar att friskolan bedriver pedagogisk utveckling med forskning som grund sedan flera år tillbaka. De två kommunala skolorna har nyligen börjat med organiserade former av pedagogisk utveckling i arbetslagen, dock inte med diskussioner om aktuell forskning.

The purpose of this masters thesis is to find out whether the library can be a way to support integration. To fulfil this purpose we have, by qualitative interviews, obtained information about eight immigrant womens views on and experiences of the Swedish public library. Through the literature and earlier research we have presented a background of immigrants and integration in Sweden along with factors that may influence the integration process. We have tried to give an insight into what is said about the immigrant woman in research and media, which we think affects her life and we also have given a short introduction to immigrant womens life in Sweden today. Of great interest for our essay have also been the public librarys objectives and social role in society.

Vår studie syftar till att ur ett läroplansteoretiskt perspektiv undersöka hur skolverkets påbjudna uppdrag med förskolans kvalitetsarbete kan utvecklas genom pedagogisk dokumentation, vilket är den metod som Uppsala kommun förordar. Studien är ett försök till att klarlägga hur begreppet pedagogisk dokumentation uppfattas av realiseringsarenan som formuleringsarenan påbjuder utifrån den reviderade Läroplanen Lpfö98 (2010). Pedagogisk dokumentation har sina rötter i Reggio Emilia pedagogiken som Loris Malaguzzi är upphovsman av och innebär ett gemensamt reflektionsarbete mellan pedagogerna, barnen, de anhöriga runt barnen och närsamhället. Att dokumentera och diskutera är grunden i den pedagogiska dokumentationen.Studiens huvudsakliga resultat visar inte någon märkbar skillnad mellan stora och små förskolor av de svar vi fått in då det gäller antal barn per pedagog i arbetet med pedagogisk dokumentation. Överlag kan vi se att begreppet pedagogisk dokumentation uppfattas på skilda sätt.

Under utbildningen till specialpedagog väcktes vårt intresse för handledning. Handledning kan användas väl i fortbildningssyfte och är i jämförelse med många andra former av fortbildning hållbar, eftersom den är situationsbaserad och unik för organisationen. Vårt syfte med arbetet är att ta reda på i hur stor utsträckning pedagogisk grupphandledning förekommer i Malmö stad. Ett underliggande syfte är också att ta reda på vilka effekter rektorerna ser med pedagogisk grupphandledning. Vi har gjort en totalundersökning med hjälp av enkäter som rektorerna har besvarat.

ROS är ett produktnära system som stödjer planering och återrapportering i stålverket. Sandvik vill undersöka möjligheterna att modernisera användargränssnittet på detta system som idag är terminalbaserat till ett modernt grafiskt interface. Två metoder analyseras, den ena innebär att använda en kommersiell produkt för screen scraping och den andra metoden är Web Services Integration Toolkit som är freeware. Resultatet från analysen visar att Web Services Integration Toolkit klarar av att uppfylla de mål som är satta. En testkörning av Web Services Integration Toolkit görs också på ROS och resultat visar att metoden fungerar även fungerar i praktiken..
