Musik som ett specialpedagogiskt verktyg för barns språkutveckling : Fem sydafrikanska pedagogers syn på musik som pedagogiskt verktyg
The purpose of this essay is to study if and how five South African educators work with music as a special pedagogical tool in children's language development. To achieve the purpose of this study, two research questions were created. As method, interviews of a qualitative character were chosen. The aim of the method is to give the educators the opportunity to think about and use their own experience before answering the questions.The result shows that the South African educators are not using music as a special educational tool. They rather use music as an everyday educational tool to promote children's language development. The result indicates that music in educational activities promotes children?s communication with each other.
Delat ansvar för ett enat Sri Lanka: asymmetriska relationers påverkan på fredsprocessen
Since 1983 the people of Sri Lanka has endured an ongoing Civil war, however the intencity has varied over the years. The aim of this theses is to examine what influence the asymmetric relationship between the Sri Lankan goverment and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) has on the process of negotiating a solution to the civil war. I am also examining whether the asymmetical relationship has changed over time and if these changes have had any effect on the process.To analyze the asymmetries I divide them into material and non-material. I measure the material asymmetries in economic and military resourses, and to measure the non-material I use indicators such as commitment, alternative, controll and legitimacy.The results show that the asymmetrical relations between the parties in Sri Lanka have changed since the 1990s. Factors like 9/11 and the recurrent suicide bombings by the LTTE has had a great influence on the singalese-tamil relationsship.

Elever med ADHD i klassrummet : hur påverkas vi?
Today there are many students in schools with a wide variety of different behavioral disorders. Among these disorders you can find ADHD. We have selected to research how pedagogues respond to students with ADHD. The essay will address the issues concerning the pedagogues own knowledge about ADHD. This essay will problematize if pedagogues find their knowledge about ADHD sufficient enough to respond to students with ADHD and other students without diagnoses of one of the class equivalent manner.
Flerspråkighet med fokus på arbetsmetoder och material
Syftet är att undersöka hur lärare i årskurs ett till tre tar hänsyn till flerspråkiga barn vid undervisning av begrepp i svenska språket. Detta gällande val av arbetssätt och val av material för flerspråkiga barn. Samt hur lärarnas uppfattningar kring modersmålsläraren och fritidsledare är. Intervjuer har genomförts med tio lärare från två olika skolor. Resultatet visade att majoriteten av lärarna har likadant synsätt på hur lärare bör bemöta samt hur lärare ska arbeta med flerspråkiga barn.
Sverige/hemlandet - Utformning av ett studiehäfte för invandrarelever
Vårt syfte med detta examensarbete är att skapa ett egentillverkat studiehäfte för elever med
svenska som andraspråk. Genom egna erfarenheter och möten med lärare har vi fått veta att
det inte finns mycket färdigt material för dessa. Vår tanke är att den ska ge eleven chansen att
lära sig om sitt nya land genom att se på skillnader och likheter mellan detta och hemlandet.
Då vi framställt häftet ville vi se om läromedlet levde upp till våra förväntningar.
Vi skickade ut delar av vårt material till tre lärare för varsin förberedelseklass i Skåne, med
elever i olika åldrar. Responsen var mestadels positiv och lärarna upplevde motivation och
entusiasm hos eleverna..
Om konsten att möta elever i läs- och skrivsvårigheter : En retrospektiv fallstudie
The development of five individual pupils? writing abilities, as reported by six of their teachers, is analysed. The thoughts and reflexions inspired by the everyday interaction between the teacher and the pupil suffering from some kind of reading and writing disability are presented. The purpose is to capture what was unique and characteristic in the measures that triggered a positive response in the pupils. Some of the questions answered in this study are: How does the phenomenon of reading and writing disabilities manifest itself in the classroom, and what are the consequences for the individual pupil of the various pedagogical measures available?One conclusion that may be drawn from this study is that there is no cut-and dried method for working with pupils suffering from reading and writing disabilities.

In this thesis ?information? means non-fiction material and ?children? do not include preschool children. The method used is knowledge overview and the material (mostly Master theses in LIS published January 2001-June 2006) is related to user studies of children as information seekers.
Vilken kompetens bör lärare ha? : Enligt specialpedagogen
This essay is an investigation that aims to increase the understanding regarding the opinions of what skills a teacher who works with pupils that are in need of special support ought to have. I have also tried to answer the question: How to be a good teacher?The investigation is carried out as a qualitative interview survey, where three women from three different municipalities have explained, how they want pedagogues to work with pupils that are in need of special support.The investigation shows that an accurate personality within the pedagogue plays an important part when accomplishing a positive development. Knowledge of various subjects combined with a specialized pedagogical education is very important, as well as an ability of understanding when it comes to different kinds of functional disorders.Other positive qualities a teacher should have could be the following: to be structured, calm, be able to stand stress, have patience, be a good listener, be emphatic and have a good sense of humour.The investigation also shows that teachers who are confident with themselves have a lot to gain in their profession. The final quality worth mentioning is, when you as a professional dare to be without prestige.
Att veta vad någon annan vet : En studie om hur elever uttryckermatematikkunskaper.
Att använda laborativt material ger eleverna möjlighet att uttrycka sina kunskaper på ett annat sätt än i ett traditionellt arbetssätt. Det laborativa materialet är av stor betydelse då eleverna på olika sätt kan uttrycka kunskap med hjälp av materialet. Detta är en aktionsforskningsstudie gjord på två skolor i södra Sverige. Syftet med studien är att bidra med kunskap om hur elevers förmågor i matematik kan synliggöras för bedömning. Syftet växte fram genom det utvecklingsbehov som identifierades på våra VFU-skolor.

This study examines the way Swedish students in Upper Secondary School respond to two excerpts from a classic Swedish novel. The paper?s aim is both to give an overview over some of the theoretical concepts concerning the field of reader-response criticism, and to describe and analyse what the students experience in their first meeting with an older text. The background to my interest is the many studies showing that young readers regard reading of fiction in school as boring. By using the method of written reading responses I want to contribute to a deeper understanding of how an older text can be received, understood and engage its readers.
