Personer som står inför att välja material vid en ny- eller ombyggnad har otroligt mycket att välja emellan. Att göra ett bra val kan innebära olika saker, men för mig är ett bra val att välja ett material som gör så lite skada på vår natur och på oss människor som möjligt. Skada innefattar vanliga fysiska skador och påverkningar, men även dåliga materialval som leder till onödiga kostnader. Att välja ett material som måste underhållas ofta, eller repareras och bytas ut tidigt, är ett dåligt val. Går det sen inte att återanvända eller återvinna grundmaterialet på nytt är det ännu sämre.I min undersökning har jag tittat på fasadmaterial, takmaterial, färger, fönster och dörrar.

Denna uppsats bygger på en kvalitativ intervjuundersökning med fem informanter. Syftet med studien var att undersöka ett antal gymnasielärares syn på användning av läroboksmaterial och autentiskt material i deras engelskundervisning. Fyra av fem informanter i denna undersökning såg autenticitet som en aspekt av texten. Majoriteten av informanterna ansåg vidare att autentiska texter är skapade för andra sammanhang än undervisning. Samtliga informanter föredrog att arbeta med autentiska texter och majoriteten använde en större andel autentiska texter än lärobokstexter samt ansåg att det autentiska materialet bättre förbereder elever för att läsa riktiga texter.

This examination work is performed at the institution of industrial economy and production at Jonkoping technical university, for JELD-WEN Door Solutions plant in Forserum.Today the focus in the company is on to reduce their inventories binding of capitals as well as inventory of products and that includes to get a good control of the supply and handling of material which is of great importance.JELD-WEN Door Solutions is one of the worlds leading producers of windows and doors and the head-office is located in Oregon, USA.A great number of wooden doors are manufactured by the company in varying of constructions, classifications and performance.The production of the plant in Forserum has a project- and customer focus manufacturing where only internal doors are produced. The overall market they are concentrated on is to different institution such as schools, hospitals etc.The purpose of this work is to investigate possibilities to improvement of material- and production control at JELD-WEN. The report will handle the master production schedule to and from the production divisions within manufacturing industry. Focus will be on the way for information- and material flows from arrival, transport within the company and further on to customers.Further a map of the flow was performed which gave a clearer picture of the connection between the flow of information- and material for the manufacturing process. On the basis of the mapping of the flow, the group discovered that the flow of material had some improvement potential.

The study focuses on the use of poetry in language teaching in the lower grades in the Swedish school. Poetry has a reputation of being an art form with such specific rules and structures that children and teachers think that it is something that they do not have the ability to work with.  The purpose of this study is to get an understanding of how poetry is used in educating children. My research is based on the following questions. To which extent is poetry being used in schools and how is it being used?Can you as a teacher see any effects on childrens language development by using poetry?As a part of my study I have met with and interviewed four different people, who in one way or another is involved in teaching children. Two working teachers in the lower grades, one pedagogical resource and one artist that work with teachers in reaching different goals through the help of aesthetic processes.

The aim in this thesis is to study what attitude music teachers in Sweden and New Zealand have towards Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in music education and obtain a better understanding of how their attitudes affect the way they use ICT in their teaching. Another intention is to discuss differences and similarities between the teachers´ preferences regarding this issue in the two different countries, and whether it has any effect on teaching. It's a qualitative study based on interviews with music teachers from both countries. Through the answers we can get an impression about how ICT is used in music education, how the curriculum is interpreted when it comes to use ICT in music education and how the teachers' attitudes towards ICT affect the music education. This thesis shows that teachers are positive towards ICT in music education but the attitude, knowledge and the way of using it differs, due to access to technology and different opinions about what is essential in music and what is pedagogical.

Syftet med det här arbetet var att skapa ett häfte med några tips och idéer på hur matematik och lek kan kombineras, och att se om det finns några sidovinster med att kombinera matematik och lek.Lekarna i häftet ska vara genomförbara utan krav på vare sig material eller miljö.Jag genomförde en enkät för att se om det fanns något liknande material ute på förskolorna, och om ett sådant material används eller om det fanns ett intresse för att använda ett sådant material.Det egentliga huvudresultatet för det här arbetet är häftet som innehåller några lekar som kombinerar matematik och leken, och visa på några sidovinster det kan ge att kombinera matematik och lek.Det jag i stora drag kom fram till var att det egentligen inte finns några hinder på hur matematik och lek kan kombineras. Det är i princip bara den egna fantasin som kan var ett hinder i hur matematik och lek kan kombineras. Med ett öppet sinne och med lite fantasi så kan man leka när som helst, och var som helst. Att kombinera matematik och lek är alltså inte några som helst problem..

I detta examensarbete undersöker jag om och hur känslan av kvalitet i hantverk, material och sittkomfort påverkas av rationaliseringar i tillverkningsprocessen. Jag diskuterar också hur upplevelsen av kvalitet, hantverk och materialval förhåller sig till hållbarhetsaspekten i såväl estetiskt som ekologiskt, etiskt och ekonomiskt avseende. Undersökningen bygger på mina erfarenheter och min analys av mitt eget arbete med min gesällmöbel, kopian av denna och två ytterligare fåtöljer av identiskt utseende, alla med samma kvalitéer och material i det som syns utåt men med avvikelser i både tillverkningssätt och material i det inre. Jag konstaterar att beträffande utseende och komfort finns det ingen skillnad mellan de olika fåtöljerna, däremot med avseende på hållbarhet, både konkret över tid, och ekologiskt..

Undersökningens syfte var att jämföra två förskolors utemiljöer och se hur barn och pedagoger samspelar där. Vi ville se i vilken omfattning barnen har tillgång till material och vilket material och vilka platser de var intresserade av. Utifrån vårt syfte ställde vi oss frågorna: Hur ser förskolornas utemiljö ut? Vilket material finns tillgänglig för barnen? Vilka material och vilka platser visar barnen intresse för? Vad i leken blir föremål för pedagogernas samspel eller styrning? Skapar de olika utemiljöernas kontext olika förutsättningar för samspel och styrning? Forskning om barns utemiljöer som vi tagit del av är gjord av Grahn och Mårtensson (1993, 1997, 2004). Vår undersökning byggde på ostrukturerade observationer och fotografering av lek och samspel på de två förskolornas gårdar.

The Swedish institute of racial biology was the first of its kind in the world. The purpose of their activity was to gather information about the different kind of racial characters of the Swedish population. They did this by traveling around the country gathering pictures and statistic information. In 1958 it was decided that the institute was going to get integrated with the University of Uppsala and change its research focus to a more medical genetic. Most of the research material also got integrated into the university?s library.The purpose of this paper is to find out how the institutes collection has been handled through the ages and if there have been any controversy or debate about it.

The workplace is a good arena for healthy activities because of its ability to reach big target groups. A preventive health care program prevents ill-health and since 2001 Centralsjukhuset Kristianstad has a health care program, ?Främja hälsan?. Leadership is important in the health promotion work when to get the collaborators motivated and involved in the health care program. The aim of the cross-sectional study was to investigate the collaborators opinion about the managers? pedagogical role in the health promotion work at Centralsjukhuset Kristianstad.

AbstractThe purpose of this essay is to study in what way teachers in preschool work with pupils enabling them to gain influence and involvement in their learning.Influence means being able to make your voice heard which is an important component of a democratic society. Involvement is about being part of a community in which everyone is welcomed regardless of beliefs and opinions. Several of today's researchers believe that learning occurs in interaction between people. Teachers providing meaningful assignments to pupils, they become more motivated to learn.The study is based on observations of how teachers work with influence and involvement in controlled sessions, and interpretations of them. My results show that children become involved in their learning when they are confronted with a variety of pedagogical approaches to learning.

The purpose of this Masters thesis is to investigate the role of link collections in Swedish public libraries mediation of Internet resources. The study is focusing on the effects on the contents and the structure in the link collections when the target group is immigrant users. This is done through literature studies completed with an examination of two link collections containing multi-cultural and multi-lingual material and qualitative interviews with the two librarians who are in charge of the collections. The major questions raised in this study are: What function do the link collections have for the public libraries? What is the difference in working with traditional, printed material compared to the work with Internet resources? And how are the selection of Internet resources and the structure of the link collections affected when the collection is intended for immigrant users? The main results are that link collections in public libraries can give a concrete form to political guidelines.

The purpose of my study was to find out how staff in after-school activities thinks they work with norms and values, we may call this values education, and how this in turn may influence children's norms and values. By extension, how children are socialized with each other and develop socially. In my research, I have interviewed five of the after-school activities staff who work with children aged 6-9 years at a school in the neighbourhood Rinkeby-Kista in northwestern Stockholm.The results show that after-school activity according to the staff can play a very important and sometimes crucial role in children's social development. Staff believes that if they do not learn the social rules by participating in playing and games in early childhood, when growing up they are outside and cannot participate. By their pedagogical approaches, in terms of values and norms, the adults in after-school activities can help children to become socialized into a community of solidarity and eventually as adults become responsible citizens able to function and participate in society..

Det pedagogiska arbetet inom MSI ? Utifrån Bolognaprocessen och UPC.Inom en snar framtid kommer flertalet länder i Europa jobba efter nya riktlinjer enligt en deklaration kallad Bolognaprocessen. Det hela kommer att ske i etapper och innebär att sättet på vilket studenter bedöms kommer ändras, allt för att göra Europas arbetsmarknad öppnare för alla dess miljoner studerande.I Växjö pågår detta arbete för fullt, men för att anpassa sig till framtida krav måste skolan även förändra sin utbildningsform. För att höja sin kvalité har universitetet tagit fram en handlingsplan för att förbättra de pedagogiska arbetsmetoderna i alla institutioner. I den här uppsatsen vill vi belysa hur arbetet med Bolognaprocessen fortgår inom Matematiska och systemtekniska institutionen och vad de gör för att förbättra denpedagogiska undervisningen.

The purpose of this study is to achieve a greater understanding of the perception of the use of Special Educational Needs Coordinators? (SENCOs?) competence in school. The informants of this study are the director of the school district, two principals and six teachers in two schools in a municipality in Sweden. The method used for this study is qualitative interviews, and the results have been analyzed using perspectives on special education. The results show that the director of the school district has one ideal view of SENCOs working close to the principals with supervision of teachers, school development, administrative tasks etc.
