Referenssituationen på högskolebiblioteket ? en arena för lärande?

The purpose of this master thesis is to investigate how librarians working in academic libraries are experiencing the reference situation from a pedagogical point of view, by applying a theoretical framework consisting of learning strategies and their different characteristics, to qualitative interviews. Other goals are to elucidate the fact that learning takes place every day at libraries during the reference situation and that this work must be seen as ?one of the most important activities that takes place at the library?, using the words from one of the interviewed librarians, but also to make place for more discussions regarding pedagogic and library work. This is done by posing questions about knowledge, learning, information literacy, communication, the reference encounter, the roles of the librarian, policy and also architectural aspects of the reference situation. The interviews were taped, transcribed and categorized according to the earlier mentioned areas of interest.

Skolmåltidspersonalens upplevelser av att kunna påverka måltidssituationen

Övervikt och fetma är ett av de mest omfattande folkhälsoproblemen i Sverige och det är en stor andel barn och unga som lever med detta problem. Då goda matvanor grundläggs i tidig ålder utgör skolmåltiden en betydelsefull roll för att upprätta hälsosamma matvanor. Faktorer i den fysiska matmiljön, såsom möblering, städning, dekorering, inredning, belysning samt ljudnivå påverkar elevernas upplevelse av måltidssituationen. Den psykiska miljön som innefattar både psykologiska och sociala faktorer, det vill säga servering av skolmaten, arbetskläder, matglädje, elevernas matintag samt möjligheterna för skolmåltidspersonalen att gå någon fortbildning är även av betydelse för måltidssituationen. Dessa faktorer har studerats i detta examensarbete som utförts på uppdrag av Region Halland och som syftade till att studera skolmåltidspersonalens upplevelser av att påverka måltidssituationen i skolan.

AbstractSeveral of researchers have reflected that the school ought to be developed to a learning organization. A method as proceed from such a perspective and should be able to match a local child- and educations administration is problembased school development. To investigate in which ways a child- and educations administration prosecute a problem based learning inside the organization a case study was used as research strategy. The question this report gives answer to is:In what/which way works a child- and educations administration in a rural district with a method to fulfil a problembased learning.To collect empiric data a canvassing inquiry was accomplished among the child- and educations administrations group of management. According to the research result it can declares that there are good conditions for the organization to prosecute problem based school development, but there is yet a great deal to do before it´s can be said totally fulfilled.

Medicinska elektroniska tidskrifter hur har forskningsbibliotekariens arbetssätt påverkats?

The aim of this study is to describe how Swedish research librarians feel that their work has been affected by electronic journals. The study focuses on medical electronic journals accessed through consortia agreements via Bibsam, the Royal Librarys Department for National Co-ordination and Development. This thesis includes two main parts: a literature survey and an empirical study. The literature survey shows that since the 1990´s most research libraries are hybrid libraries including both printed and electronic information sources and that librarians tasks to seek and organize information have remained but the tools have changed. Qualitative interviews were performed with four librarians at two university libraries and one university college library on how their work with electronic journals differed from their work with printed journals, which new tasks the electronic journals have brought and which have disappeared and how the librarians professional role has been affected.

Validering inom omvårdnadsprogrammet på tre vuxenutbildningar i Östergötland

This study investigates how social interaction affects newly arrived pupils? views on their study situation in the Swedish educational system. The aim is to give a contribution to the discussion on the notion of including ?the Other? in educational practice in multicultural schools. Semi-structured group interviews were conducted to explore how the intercultural perspective and the theory of inclusion can be used to explain the dynamics of social interaction.

Offentlig måltidsverksamhet i egen regi eller på entreprenad?

Måltidsverksamheter inom offentliga sektorer har över 100 års historia där den svenska väl- färden har en stor betydelse med skatteintäkter som till exempel finansierar skolmåltiderna. Privata aktörer konkurrerar idag på marknaden för att få driva måltidsverksamheter inom of- fentliga sektorer. Genom att använda Mintzbergs organisationsteorier har vi undersökt om det finns organisatoriska skillnader mellan privata och offentliga måltidsverksamheter. När det gäller att studera ledarskapet har vi använt oss av fyra ledarskapsteorier: strukturella, HR, symboliska och det politiska ledarskapet. De tillsammans med FAMM (Five Aspectes Meal Model) ligger till grund för att visa om det finns samband mellan organisationen och ledar- skapet i måltidsorganisationer.

Horses are made to eat mainly roughage and it is essential for optimal health to offer them an appropriate amount of roughage with good hygienic and nutritional qualities. To produce good hay at the right time and be able to keep the hygienic quality until next summer is a problem. This has the effect that horse owners today choose haylage and silage to a larger extent. Science in this area is scarce, i.e. if the change from hay to silage has any effect on the horse.

Sommarforskarskola för gymnasiet : Tema: Vitaminer och experiment

The aim of this study is to describe how a theme about vitamins and analytical chemistry can be planed and implemented in a summer research school managed by AstraZeneca. The description of the theme is intended to be used as an instructor?s guide to upcoming summers-research-schools with the same theme. The students, which participated in the summer school of 2007, went to upper secondary school. During the summer school they were going to investigate the content of vitamin C in different fruits and vegetables.

Utfodring av hästar i tropiska klimat : möjlighet att använda regionala fodermedel i Tamil Nadu, Indien.

This study consists of a literature study and a survey in Tamil Nadu, India. The aim of the study was to get an understanding of horse feeding in tropical climates and what kind of feeding related problems that could occur because of the fodder. Information and data were collected from eight different stables and from Tamil Nadu University of Agriculture in the region of Tamil Nadu in March-April 2009. The horses in Tamil Nadu were given rice straw, unknown grass, Cynodon dactylon, lucerne, maize, Pennisetum glaucum x Pennisetum purpureum hybrid and Chloris gayana as roughage. As concentrates, the horses were given wheat bran, oats, barley, soybean meal, maize, carrots, coconut cake, peanut cake, horse gram and chick pea.

Matsvinn på sjukhus

Matsvinn förekommer i hela livsmedelssystemet och har en negativ påverkan på både miljö och samhällsekonomi. Miljökostnaden för varje kilo matsvinn blir högre ju mer förädlad varan är. Denna studie har utförts på uppdrag av Regionservice Måltid inom Västra Götalandsregionen. Syftet är att identifiera vårdspersonalens uppfattningar om bakomliggande orsaker till orörda matbrickor på två sjukhus i avsikt att belysa möjliga förbättringsåtgärder. Frågeställningarna är: Vilka rutiner har medarbetarna på respektive avdelning kring beställning av matbrickor? Hur sker beställning och avbeställning av matbrickor på respektive sjukhus? Vad är grundorsaken till orörda matbrickor? Vad kan avdelningarna respektive köket göra för att minska antalet orörda brickor? I studien används en kvalitativ metod där empiriska underlag bygger på intervjuer och kortare observationer.

Erhållen kompetens i utveckling : Gymnasieelevers uppfattningar av kompetens för arbete i pedagogisk verksamhet efter Barn ? och fritidsprogrammet

Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur barns språk främjas och utvecklas hos förskolans yngsta barn och på vilket sätt detta genomförs i praktiken på förskolan. Studien genomförs med fokus på innehållet i samlingar. Samlingarnas innehåll analyseras med Vygotskijs teori i åtanke genom att intervjua förskollärare och observera samlingar med fokus på de tre teoretiska begreppen involvering, delaktighet och autonomi. Resultatet visar att förskollärarna använder sig av principerna involvering, delaktighet och autonomi genom samlingarnas olika återkommande aktiviteter såsom upprop, högläsning, ramsa, sånglek och avslutning. Studien visar även att förskollärarna följer två olika modeller som består av Bornholmsmodellen och förskollärarnas egen modell.

Kommunikation som praktiskt kunnande : Teater som utgångspunkt för träning i att kommunicera

The form of my essay is that all human communication, can be seen as a practical knowledge, witch can be trained. I describe how I came in to a pedagogic activity, which is aimed to train people?s communicative ability in their working life and in school. This is made in the form of lectures, seminars and training program. In this essay, I even describe my personally background and what it was, that made me work with people outside the theatre.

AbstractIn this essay, I have chosen to examine how four teachers in a work unit think and work with linguistic development and strategies, particularly in grade 4-6. The teaching profession has gradually become more like a cooperative profession. Therefore it is in a general pedagogic interest, to know, how each one of the teachers in the work unit, are thinking about linguistic development, teaching profiles and the significances of a work unit to achieve their aims to provide for all the individuals in their classrooms. My intention was to find out if a homogeneous work unit or a heterogeneous work unit is to prefer in work with linguistic development, which initially made me focus and realise the importance of each one of my informants? answers.

Lågstadiet och skolbiblioteket : En undersökning bland skolledare och lärare på lågstadieskolor i Malmö.

The current curriculum requires a well functioning school library and an active use of it. In junior school grades 1-3 the children primarily learn basic skills. Knowledge about libraries and how to use them and different media is part of these skills. Therefore my intention was to investigate how school libraries in junior schools look, how they are used in the training and how they could be used in junior school education. I focus on the pedagogic role of the school library and the library as information center.I begin by going through what the school law and the curriculum say - or do not say - about the use of the school library.

Rörelse i en sydafrikansk skola : En studie om lärares syn och tillämpning

AbstractAccording to a lot of people, movement contributes with a whole lot of positive things such as, learning, a better bodyknowledge, fellowship and koncentration. Movement has also proved to support many things regarding childrens development. According to Gun Sandborg-Holmdahl who is a teacher in pedagogic and Birgitta Stening who is an physical education teacher, movement and games commits many of the human senses wich contributes childrens ability to use their amagination and also spontanity. Games and movements have also shown to have good effects when it comes to childrens increased feeling to learn things. I have in this study, studied the South African school and their wiew on movement in school.
