Denna undersökning har tilldelats från Peab Anläggning i Uppsala. Peabs intresse är att undersöka hanteringen av oönskade jordmassor för att kunna minska den ekonomiska och miljömässiga belastningen. Förutsättningarna för att lyckas undersöka detta har skett med hjälp av intervjuer med anställda på Peab, samt genom läsning av det undersökta projektets förfrågningsunderlag. Det givna projektet som studerades är en vatten- och tryckspillvattenledning i Uppsalaområdet.De faktorer som står i fokus för undersökningen är den ekonomiska och miljömässiga faktorn. Dessa punkter har undersökts med hjälp av en kontroll av arbetstider och hanteringsmetoder som undersökts.

The aim of this study has been to describe the ongoing region enlargement process in the region Mälardalen, located in the east part of Sweden, and to investigate how this process can affect the local level. The study is especially orientated on public communications and accessibility. The intention has also been to examine how the local accessibility can affect the re-gional development in Mälardalen. The local investigation object that has been chosen for this research is the city Strängnäs, situated in the province of Södermanland. The city of Strängnäs and the cities in it?s near geographic surroundings has been the benchmark for this casestudy, in which the local accessibility with public transportation has been investigated.

Annedal is a brand new neighborhood in the Bromma part of Stockholm. The neighborhood construction has now reached its halfway point. When finished, 5000 people are estimated to live in Annedal. The focus for the new area is variation. Both housing co-operatives and rented apartments have been built and more are under construction.A study about the valuation of town quality in the Stockholm region was produced by the Stockholm County Council in 2011.

I have studied how human networks can affect decision-making and different constellations. The primary purpose is to clarify the possibility to affect the decision to move the infrastructure investments from Region Skåne to Region Västra Götaland. The study starts at the EU-level and continues to the Government and on to the region. Region Skåne is studied especially since it was from there the infrastructure investments were moved.The conclusion is that there is no specific representation in the government that represents regional topics, in spite of the fact that almost 30% of the members of the Parliament come from these regions. There is no discussion between the members that could be considered a networking-activity beneficial for the regions.

Kommunikationen har en viktig roll i en allt mer konkurrerande värld. Den är grunden för funktionella organisationer och nöjda medarbetare och därmed generar kommunikationen värde. Idag ses effektiv kommunikation som en tillgång inom organisationer som framgångsrikt har implementerat kommunikationsstrategier.Den här studien berör Peab, ett svenskt byggnadsföretag som har en stark marknadsposition som ett av de tre största i Sverige. Studien behandlar kommunikationen mellan tillvalshanterare och arbetsledare vid tillvalsprocessen i samband nyproduktion av bostäder. Problemet har bestått i att kartlägga hur kommunikationen ser ut mellan dessa och med syftet att ge förslag på vad som kan förbättras.

 This report is an evaluation of Peab's purchase and call-off system, PIA.PIA is used to order goods for Peab's construction sites. The background to the work is that users of the system have understood the system cumbersome to use when purchasing goods for construction sites. The evaluation was carried out by the interviews and tests with users of the program, in this case, supervisors and site managers at the company. Ten users of the system were interviewed and eleven people have carried out a test order.The focus is primarily on the test order that users have implemented, which has been clocked and analyzed for time and cost. The evaluation is also a user analysis concerning how the users perceive the program, mainly in terms of usability, functionality and benefits.The result of this report shows that PIA is economically profitable to use for the purchase of goods for construction sites.

This thesis investigates the 200 year old phenomena of savings banks and if they increase the economic growth (GDP) in the local region they act in. That is being done by testing three hypotheses; the savings banks increase the attractiveness of the region they act in; the savings banks increase the entrepreneurship in the region they act in; and the savings banks increase the economic growth in region they act in. This quantitative cross-sectional study with data from the year 2010, finds that the savings banks increase the attractiveness of the local region, most likely through the efforts and financials they put into different local projects. A positive result is also found for increased entrepreneurship in the regions that have a local savings bank. The result is explained by the savings banks relationship lending, which increase the likeliness for a company to get the credit they need to start and develop.

Quality Control is a term often used within production and is referring to managing processes so they produce capable products. Within Quality Control, process capability index is a common measure to oversee processes. Safety Region Plots were introduced to do this graphically. In Albing & Vännman (2010) the concept of Safety Region Plots is expanded to incorporate an elliptical shape. The method of Elliptical Safety Region Plots assumes a normally distributed data.

Region Skåne skapades för tio år sedan med ändamålet att förstärka den regionala demokratin. Den här uppsatsen syftar till att studera hur pass långt Region Skåne kommit i den demokratiska utvecklingen. Utifrån en normativ analys diskuteras de tre demokratiidealen, valdemokrati, deltagardemokrati och samtalsdemokrati, som alla bör ingå för att kunna göra en demokratisk bedömning. De tre demokratiidealen omsätts i mät- och undersökningsmetoder för att i uppsatsens empiriska del kunna studera Region Skånes demokrati. Utifrån de fastställda mät och undersökningsmetoderna dras slutsatsen att Region Skåne inte till fullo uppnår något av demokratiidealen, och att organisationen fortfarande innehar flera demokratiska brister som bör förbättras, detta trots att demokratin inom regionen utvecklas och att regionen sedan dess skapande fört med sig flera demokratiska fördelar..

I samarbete med Skanska Sverige AB, Region Hus Stockholm Bostäder har detta examensarbete upprättats. Examensarbetet handlar om bedömning och uppföljning av de allmänna kostnaderna, (AK), inom regionen.  Inom husbyggnation är de allmänna kostnaderna en del av projektets totalkostnad och är i de flesta fall svåra att beräkna. Delar av Region Hus Stockholm Bostäder har arbetat med att ta fram erfarenhetsvärden och nyckeltal, för att få ökade kunskaper om AK i projekten och därigenom underlätta bedömningarna för prissättning i kommande projekt. Syftet är att försöka bidra till högre produktivitet genom att göra bättre bedömning, uppföljning och erfarenhetsåterföring med hjälp rekommendationer. Målet är ta fram en generell beskrivning av en rekommenderad arbetsrutin som ska ha en ?best practice? funktion för framtida arbeten.

Stadsmarknadsföring är ett begrepp som har blivit allt vanligare de senaste åren. Det skrivs mycket litteratur om ämnet och de flesta städer har idag utvecklat ett varumärke i syfte att försöka hävda sig i konkurrensen om turister, invånare och företag. I den här uppsatsen utvärderas Stockholms marknadsföring. Uppsatsen tar avstamp i litteraturstudier som har gjorts som beskriver hur marknadsföringen av en stad bör gå till generellt, för att senare kunna analysera hur Stockholm har valt att marknadsföra sig. Det råder en del missuppfattningar kring vissa av de begrepp som handlar om stadsmarknadsföring som jag kortfattat försöker reda ut.

Servera R&S AB is the daughter company to Axel Johnson AB, which in turn is a part of the Axel Johnson Group with Antonia Ax:son Johnson as the owner. Servera is a nation wide company with a business concept of offering a complete selection of merchandise and services to the professional food service market. The company is split into for different regions: the north region, the middle region, the southwest region, and the southeast region and has its headquarter in Stockholm.

This thesis is ordered by Peab Sweden AB Regional Jönköping and concerns of warranty inspections.The intention is to work out a basis, which show the most common complaints is the warranty inspections, and make a small analysis on what causes them to be. The report also presents possible solutions to prevent the occurrence of defects. It also covers the issue of how the client looks at Peabs way to overcome the objections of warranty inspections. The report has the following issues:?What are the most common errors observed during the warranty inspection??What are the causes of complaints??What can be done to reduce the number of complaints??How the customer thinks that the complaints be addressed?Twenty-five Guarantee survey records from the projects Peab has done in recent years has been the starting point for the investigation.

Hälsofrämjande arbete inom företag kan fungera på olika sätt, vilket kan ha betydelse för lärandet. För att lärandet ska ske i samband med hälsofrämjande arbete måste medarbetarna vara medvetna om att arbetet finns och hur det fungerar inom företaget. För att kunna bevara och utveckla lärandet i samband med hälsofrämjande arbete är det nödvändigt att utvärdera medarbetarnas behov. Därför var syftet med den aktuella uppsatsen att belysa några medarbetares, inom PEAB Bygg Division Västs, uppfattningar om hur ett framtida hälsofrämjande arbete ska kunna utvecklas på arbetsplatsen. För att undersöka ovanstående syfte hölls en fokusgrupp med fyra medarbetare från företaget.

The Swedish construction industry is dominated by men; however this is starting to change. The average age of Construction Engineers is high and approximately 40 per cent of the employees will retire by the year 2015. Currently, female engineers dominate the graduating classes of Swedish Universities but this is not reflected in the Swedish Construction industry.With so many female engineers available, why is this? Does it require a change in company culture and their condition of work to attract them? Is it the attitude towards women in the industry among the employees that has to be changed? Or is it a woman?s thoughts and prejudices of the industry that creates obstacles?The purpose of this final thesis is to describe how contracting firms in the construction industry can make themselves more attractive for female engineers. To reach the purpose, a study among salaried employees and craftsmen was conducted.
