The aim of this study is to examine how girls from the discussion group "Coolt med koll" understand the phenomenon honor-related violence. The study is based upon three issues; how do our informants understand honor-related violence, where do the interviewed obtain information concerning honor-related violence and how do it affect their point of view, last but not least what do the girls know regarding children?s rights. The theoretical points of this study are theories about honor-related living conditions and radical feminist theory. The study is carried out through six semi-structured qualitative interviews, which all are conducted separately.

This essay investigates the feminist philosophy of Rosi Braidotti with particular focus on the alternative feminine feminist nomadic subject that she creates. I also introduce Braidotti?s theoretical inspiration from Gilles Deleuze and Luce Irigaray. I argue that Braidotti creates an alternative figuration for feminism through synthesizeing Deleuze?s concept of ?becoming? with Irigaray?s sexual difference-theory.

Den här C-uppsatsen är en kvalitativ studie om användandet av feelgood tidningar i vardagen. Studien strävar efter att ta del av och förstå hur läsarna använder feelgood tidningarna i sin vardag. Studien syftar också att undersöka det psykologiska perspektivet bakom valet att läsa tidningarna.Mina frågeställningar är: Hur använder kvinnorna feelgood tidningen i sin vardag?Hur rumsrent tycker kvinnorna att det är att läsa de här tidningarna? Vad är det som gör feelgood tidningar underhållande?Hur kan man tolka kvinnornas användning av tidningarna ur ett psykologisk perspektiv?Materialet inhämtas via en fokusgrupp med fyra kvinnor i åldrarna 40- 65 år. Den teoretiska bakgrunden har hämtats ur Radway A Janice bok, Reading the romance- women, Patriarchy and popular litteratur, Lisbeth Larssons En annan historia och ur boken Oro, av Skårderud Finn.Analysen är ett samspel mellan fokusgruppens utsaga och den teoretiska delen.

Detta är en kvalitativ studie där vi använder diskursanalys som metod för att undersöka hur media framställer hedersmord och om detta har förändrats över tid. De mest uppmärksammade hedersmorden i Sverige är morden på Maisam Abed Ali (Sara), Pela Atroshi, Fadime Sahindal och Maria Barin Aydin och är föremål för vår granskning. Genom att undersöka de tidningsartiklar som skrevs i samband med morden på Sara, Pela och Fadime, 1996-2002, och jämföra dessa med de artiklar som skrevs efter mordet på Maria, 2012-2013, vill vi identifiera diskursiva skillnader. Vår teoretiska ram består av radikalfeministiskt-, kulturellt- och intersektionellt perspektiv som vi använder för att analysera vårt resultat. Det vi kan konstatera är att det skedde en gradvis skiftning av diskursen under den första perioden, där majoriteten av artiklarna till en början förde en debatt om huruvida hedersmord är kulturellt betingat eller en del av det universella patriarkala våldet.

Syftet med föreliggande uppsats var att granska populärkultur för att undersöka om könsmakt-ordningen återspeglas inom den kulturgenren eller ej. Frågeställningen var: Präglas populär-kulturens innehåll och uttryck av könsmaktordningens ojämställda förhållanden? Om så är fallet, på vilka sätt? I uppsatsen avgränsades populärkultur till att gälla amerikanska filmer under år 2009. Det empiriska materialet utgjordes av de fyra mest sedda filmerna under det aktuella året. Datainsamlings- och analysmetoden var filmanalys med diskursanalytisk ansats.

The purpose of this study is to examine the actual political conditions that exist for the Iranian women. What is the political reality of the Iranian women and how can they exert political influence within the political system that exists in Iran today. This is done to see how the Iranian women's potential political influence affects Iran's democratic status. This will be answered through the overall research question: What opportunities do the Iranian women have to influence policy? This overall question is then split into three smaller research questions:1) What formal possibilities to political influence do the Iranian women have?2) What real possibilities to political influence do the Iranian women have?3) How have women in Iran tried to exert political influence outside the institutional framework?This will be done through a qualitative text analysis where texts concerning the Iranian women?s political influence are examined.

Våld i nära relationer betraktas som ett samhällsproblem, där tonåringar har uppmärksammats vara en extra sårbar grupp. Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka tonåringars attityder till våld i kärleksrelationer under tonårstiden. Hur skildrar tonåringar sina föreställningar om våld och vilka etiska och moraliska ställningstaganden gör de? Studien syftar även till att undersöka hur tonåringar förklarar förekomsten av våld i kärleksrelationer under tonårstiden och om det finns skillnader mellan tjejer och killars attityder.Denna studie har utgått från en kvalitativ forskningsmetod, där data samlats in med hjälp av fokusgruppsintervjuer. Data har sedan tematiserats med hjälp av meningskoncentrat och analyserats utifrån en tolkningsram innehållande teorier på samhälls, grupp- och individnivå.De slutsatser som kan dras utifrån denna studie är att tonåringar har en relativt snäv bild av vad våld i nära relation som begrepp innefattar.

The aim of this thesis is to analyse the conceptualisation of the social relations of class and gender within the Social Democratic Women?s Association during the period 1972 ? 1993, on the basis of their programmes for action. The analysis of the concepts is based on an ideology critical study focusing on the manifest ideology.The study is based upon the theoretical concepts of class and gender,  The class analysis is based upon the broadened concepts of class by Erik Olin Wright and Ira Katznelson. The gender analysis is mainly based upon a Marxist understanding and a critical point of view of Marxism and feminism in the context of Patriarchy and capitalism.The period of the study is where the social democracy is challenged, both by radical socialism and feminist ideology and the economic crisis during the 1980?s, as well as the possible threat of an organised women?s party in Sweden.

The aim of this study is to investigate how the female author, Charlotte Brontë, describes the development of her female protagonist in Jane Eyre and to compare this to how the male author, Fyodor Dostoevsky, describes the development of his male protagonist in Crime and Punishment, inside the patriarchal 19th century.My basic idea is that both characters in these two books have to reach their own unknown to find satisfaction and a new existence, and I want to investigate what the characters have to go through to find that existence. To help me in my exploration of Jane Eyre I make use of Gilbert and Gubars? book The Madwoman in the Attic and in the case of Crime and Punishment, I make use of Pelikan Straus? article ??Why did I say ?Women!??? Raskolnikov Reimagined?. Both authors discuss literature from a gender perspective, but without comparing female and male characters or authors with each other, which I believe is important for a more holistic understanding of gender issue.The conclusion of this essay is that these books are describing the main characters? evolution towards their personal unknown with the same tools, a double self, an important symbol, and in the end a love partner that embodies that unknown.

His other productions, generally speaking, have partially different social reform purposes, but, according to himself, these short stories were written with the intention to be totally free of tendencies (even though he himself doubted that he succeeded with this).During the same period that these short stories were published, the Swedish social democrats were under the challenge of radical movements that, mainly on the radical left?s ideological foundation, had a relatively strong influence in Sweden, among other countries, from the mid 1960?s to the late 1970?s.
