Introduktion Patientsäkerhet är en viktig del i arbetet med att upprätthålla en god kvalitet inom hälso- och sjukvården och inte minst inom riskfyllda områden som anestesi- och operationssjukvård. Operationsprocessen kan stödjas genom användandet av ett kliniskt informationssystem, ett så kallat operationsplaneringssystem. Vad som dock inte finns väl beskrivet är hur ett sådant här informationssystem skulle kunna bidra till en säkrare vård.Syfte: Syftet med studien var att beskriva processen och vilken betydelse ett operationsplaneringssystem hade för patientsäkerheten på en operationsavdelning utifrån personalens perspektiv.Metod: En empirisk studie med kvalitativ ansats genomfördes och analyserades med riktad innehållsanalys enligt Hsieh & Shannon. Tjugosex intervjuer genomfördes utifrån nio olika befattningar relaterade till operationsprocessen på tre olika sjukhus i mellersta och södra SverigeResultat: Processen av kirurgska ingrepp bestod av tre olika faser; planering, genomförande och uppföljning. Extern planering hanterades av kirurgisk avdelning eller mottagning.

A foundation of our welfare state is that we have a social safety net. This safety net is designed to pick up individuals who are in need of help and support to manage their way of life. This essay regards people who need help with care or people who need help with an addiction. This essay is a qualitative text analysis, which aims to see whether, and if so how, help-seekers are constructed in 40 social service documents within a municipality in central Sweden. We have endeavored to illustrate the power that the written word possesses and which categories of people are constructed depending on the language and content of the social documents.

The company Västra Mälardalens Kommunalförbund, VMKF, wishes to revise and optimize their present data and IP-telephony network as of today consists of the three municipalities Köping, Arboga and Kungsör. As a municipal corporation, they seek consultation regarding internal as well as external review and investigation of the main structure of the network, its functionality and safety. By today?s increasing demands of Internet accessibility, availability of services and security far more extends the requirement of a complete network design. The foundation of networking rests on the balance between each of these necessities.

Transportation of oil and gas by the Sea characterizes challenges from a safety viewpoint. In this type of transportation, different sizes of special tankers carrying oil and gas. The marine transportation of these scarce natural riches is involved with risks and hazards, which may lead to many losses; for instance, wasting oil and gas, injuries of people, damaging ships and properties, and damaging environment. The main purpose of this thesis is to evaluate the risks, hazards, and accidents during transportation of oil and gas (mainly Crude Oil, liquefied petroleum gas, and Liquefied natural gas) by the Sea with concentrating on transport safety. Hence, a better understanding of these risks and hazards can contribute to decrease of addressed losses.This study is carried out on risks associated with maritime transportation of oil and gas starting with describing the general casual chain (dealing with causes, incidents, accidents and consequences/causalities), continuing with describing risk analysis techniques (including event tree analysis and fault tree analysis) and risk control measures/options, and finally implementing aforesaid investigations on real data from two areas; namely UK territorial waters and the Baltic Sea.In this study, the results of analyzing data from 1991 to 2010 in UK territorial waters revealed that collision and grounding were two most common accidents in terms of crude oil tankers, LPG and LNG carriers in which 44% of all accidents were equally divided between collision and grounding.

Diabetes typ 2 är en av de vanligast förekommande sjukdomarna i Sverige. Eftersom sjukdomen ställer stora krav på egenvård är det viktigt att patienten själv förstår sjukdomen. Kommunikationen mellan sjuksköterska och patient har därför en central roll. Syftet var att belysa kommunikationens betydelse för samspelet mellan sjuksköterska och patient med diabetes typ 2. Studien gjordes i form av en litteraturstudie där 12 vetenskapliga artiklar utgjorde grunden för resultatet.

Denna uppsats är en komparativ studie där fem patografier, självbiografiska sjukdomsskildringar jämförs. Detta görs för att belysa hur relationerna kan se ut mellan olika karaktärer inom sjukvården, i synnerhet förhållandet mellan patient och läkare, patient och sjusköterskor, men också förhållandet mellan sjukvårdspersonalen och patientens anhöriga..

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a special unit for patients who is in the need for emergency life-sustaining measures and every patient has complex medical- technical equipment. The experiences of a critical illness and the needs of critical care are experienced in different ways. The purpose of this study was to describe the experiences from patients in the ICU and how this experience has an influence on the patients. The method was a study of literature with a qualitative inception based on eight scientific articles and the analysis of content has been inspired by Graneheim and Lundman (2003). The result of the study is presented by four categories: to loose the ability to make themselves understood, to be forced to adjust to the environment of caring, to have the lack of connection with reality and to be in an intensive care environment, The results showed that patients in the ICU are affected by the attitude from the staff, the equipment around them as well as the sounds and lights in the environment there.

Palliativ vård innebär att patientens symtom lindras med olika behandlings- och omvårdnadsåtgärder för att främja patientens välbefinnande. Palliativ vård ska bedrivas oavsett var patienten vårdas.Syfte: Syftet med studien var att beskriva hur sjuksköterskor uppfattade den palliativa vården på kirurgisk akutvårdsavdelning.Metod: Kvalitativ metod med fenomenografisk forskningsansats har använts. Från två kirurgiska akutvårdsavdelningar intervjuades 15 sjuksköterskor.Resultat: Tre huvudkategorier identifierades. Första huvudkategorin var palliativ vård för en sjuksköterska på kirurgisk akutvårdsavdelning, med två underkategorier: innebörden av palliativ vård för sjuksköterskan och kärnan i omvårdnaden av en patient i palliativt skede. Andra huvudkategorin var hinder för omvårdnadsarbetet av en patient i palliativt skede med underkategorierna: tid, kompetens, kommunikation/information, bristande planering och dokumentation, resurser och samarbete.

This final thesis consists of an investigation of how suitable it is to vertically integrate forest in Swedish forest companies. Different strategies to obtain raw materials have been evaluated and the advantages and disadvantages have been weighted against each other. The investigations contain a number of interviews with represents from companies with different strategies and persons that in different ways have faced the question of issue. An account study of SCA´s forest ownership has also been performed. The benefits for a forest company to vertical integrate forest consist mainly of safety in delivery, control over the supply chain and company image.

Background: Human interaction by touch plays a central role for our health and well being throughout life. When people touch each other our bodies release a hormone called oxytocin into the bloodstream, this gives the body a soothing effect. Touching on the other hand can be perceived as unpleasant if it is not in accordance with the patient?s norm or wishes. BACKGROUND: Several people die every year. The numbers of deceased in Sweden were 91449 in 2008. This often brings bereavement for the relatives and in hospital with end-of-life care it can be important for the health professionals to support and also take care of the relatives. AIM: The aim of this study is to illuminate relatives? experiences of the caring situation with end-of life-care when a close relative is dying METHOD: Literature review.

Trots att integritet har ett fundamentalt värde i vårt samhälle finns det ingen klar definition av vad begreppet verkligen innebär. Syftet med denna studie var att belysa innebörden av begreppet integritet såsom det visar sig i mötet mellan vårdpersonal och patient. Studien är gjord som en systematisk litteraturstudie och bygger på 10 kvalitativa empiriska studier som behandlar fenomenet integritet. Resultatet visar att integritet är ett begrepp som inrymmer flera dimensioner såsom autonomi, att bli sedd som individ, att bli tagen på allvar, det privata rummet, fysisk integritet, information, kulturell identitet, social identitet samt förlöjligande. Trots att både patienter och vårdgivare till stor del delar uppfattning om hur integritet kan bevaras eller hotas utsätts många patienter för kränkande handlingar i omvårdnadssituationer..
