The purpose of this work was to investigate the adherence to basic hygiene routines among staff and to investigate if there is any difference between the adherences in diverse professions. The purpose was also to study how staff rates their own adherence to current guidelines. Data for the study were collected through observations and questionnaires. Altogether 35 people were observed and 15 answered the questionnaire. Maximum adherence was found in the category of "hand disinfection after patient contact" with a score of 96%.

Denna uppsats studerar universitetssjukhus implementering och användning av måttet KPP, kostnad per patient, inom den interna ekonomiska uppföljningen i somatisk slutenvård genom en intervju- och enkätundersökning.  Syftet är att se hur KPP bör implementeras och användas. Slutsatsen är att sjukhusens ledning inte fokuserats på den strategiska och operativa styrningen med hjälp av KPP, vilket försenat utbredningen av den interna användningen. KPP-måttet måste vara tillgängligt för alla nivåer inom sjukhuset och speciellt för verksamhetschefer med ansvar för vården av patienter; goda IT-system är också nödvändiga. Being a patient in intensive care can be experienced terrifying. Studies have demonstrated the link between unpleasant memories of hospitalization in the ICU and the development of posttraumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety, and perception of quality of life in its aftermath. Placed on a ventilator, the patient is exposed to multiple invasive procedures. The aim was to describe critical care patients' experience of being intubated or tracheostomated. Method: Literature review using conventional content analysis.

Syftet med studien var att beskriva hur sjuksköterskor med invandrarbakgrund upplever främlingsfientligt bemötande från patient. Metoden vi har använt för insamling av data och analys är den deskriptiva fenomenologiska humanvetenskapliga metoden enligt Giorgi. Urvalet består av sju legitimerade sjuksköterskor med invandrarbakgrund som är verksamma inom region Skåne. Data har samlats in genom djupintervjuer. Resultat: Det centrala resultatet i studien beskriver att främlingsfientliga åsikter hos en patient kan ta sig uttryck på olika sätt och att informanterna varit allt från mycket ledsna till opåverkade av händelsen. Sex olika copingstrategier har identifierats. Det organisatoriska stödet efter händelsen anses av informanterna ha varit allt från mycket positivt till helt obefintligt.

Introduktion: Regionalt cancercenter (RCC) har i samarbete med Sveriges kommuner och landsting (SKL) beslutat att varje patient med en cancerdiagnos ska bli tilldelad en kontaktsjuksköterska.Syfte: Att undersöka hur väl implementeringen av kontaktsjuksköterskan har fungerat inom den onkologiska vården på Akademiska sjukhuset i Uppsala samt om de kontaktsjuksköterskor som finns arbetar i enlighet med SKL:s definition.Metod: Kvalitativ metod med semi-strukturerade intervjuer av åtta patienter med olika cancerdiagnos.Huvudresultat: Fem av de åtta deltagarna blev tilldelade en kontaktsjuksköterska eller motsvarande när de fick sin diagnos, antingen i direkt samband med diagnosen eller i ett senare skede. Resultaten tyder på att de patienter som ingår i någon slags forskningsstudie upplever sig ha en kontaktsjuksköterska som underlättar för dem och även deras behandling. Patienter som inte ingår i läkemedelsstudier upplever inte att kontaktsjuksköterskan har arbetat enligt SKL:s definition.Slutsats: Forskningssjuksköterskor är den personalkategori som arbetar närmast definitionen av kontaktsjuksköterska. Brister gällande sjukvårdens tillgänglighet, förmåga att ge fullgod information samt att erbjuda anhöriga stöd har uppmärksammats. Ytterligare forskning måste utföras för att resultaten ska kunna bekräftas.  .

Title: Music teachers' practising of music - thoughts and values from a few music teachers. This study is about music teachers' valuation of practising music. The study is focused on the music that these teachers are devoted to but is not a part of their teaching in music. The papershows how the relation between music teachers and their ability to be devoted to practising music of their own choice, affects them as individuals. The study is carried out at a Swedish upper secondary school which has an educational programme that is focused on music.

The aim of this Master's thesis is to examine what effect two different models of acquisition have on user satisfaction with information resources at academic libraries. The two models examined are the traditional model where a subject specialist librarian makes the selection, and the user-governed model where the larger part of the selection is based on user requests. The scope is the libraries of Roskilde University, which employs the traditional acquisition model and Malmö University, which employs the user-governed. Both libraries have a user-oriented approach to acquisition. The study encompasses a close examination of the acquisition policy through document analysis and interviews with the librarians in charge of acquisitions at each university, as well as a user-satisfaction survey among the professors and senior teachers on two faculties at each university respectively.

The purpose with this thesis is to explore how organizational knowledge is created in small, young and research intensive companies.The theory is based on a five-phase model of organizational knowledge creation and four modes of knowledge conversion described by Nonaka and Takeuchi (1995). These concepts constitute the foundation of the analytical model used in the thesis.The study is carried out by qualitative, highly structured interviews with low standardization.

Denna rapport beskriver arbetet med utvecklingen av en ny modell för kaplanturbiner. Utvecklingen bygger på två kopplade differentialekvationer som under arbetets gång anpassats och implementerats i turbinmodellen.Modellen beskriver hur vattenflöde och turbinmoment påverkas av avvikelsen från den optimala kombineringskurvan för vinklarna på turbinens ledskena och löphjul, och är anpassad för ett referensaggregat med tillgängliga provdata. Även övriga enheter i vattenkraftaggregatet modelleras och sätts samman med frekvensregulator och elnät för att simulera aggregatets reglerstabilitet i önätsdrift.Verifieringen av turbinmodellen sker genom försök att återskapa de befintliga verkningsgradskurvorna med hjälp av modellen. Resultatet visar en god följning av de verkliga kurvformerna, dock med något lägre maximal verkningsgrad.Verifieringen av önätmodellen sker genom att prova stabiliteten i nätfrekvens och turbineffekt vid stegpålastningar. To explore greatly varied opinion between player and reviewer, in relation to new products in ongoing digital game series, an analytic perspective is suggested, that takes the entire game series into account, instead of analyzing games (who are part of a series) as individual productions. This is explored further by introducing a model to support this perspective, based on the game theories by Katie Salen and Eric Zimmerman, as well as Gordon Calleja. This model and chosen perspective is applied against three separate cases to see whether or not it can give insight into the approach of players (of continuing game series) and the differing opinions of players and reviewers..
