A clean and affordable energy source for cooking is deficient in developing countries. People rely on fuels that contribute to environmental, social and health problems.Biogas is an alternative energy source and an increased investment in small-scale biogas production can in several developing countries be found. Several projects have started to use the technology in developing countries because of the benefits with biogas. Some cases in the establishment of biogas plants have succeeded and some have not. The study is a literature review supplemented by two field studies.

Syftet med föreliggande studie var att beskriva vad personer med diabetes anser inverka på deras möjlighet och vilja att följa egenvårdsråd (patientperspektivet) och att beskriva omvård-nad som stöder följsamhet (sjukvårdsperspektivet). Studien har genomförts som en litteratur-studie. Det visade sig att alla krav för att hålla sjukdomen under kontroll innebär livsstilsför-ändringar, som kan vara så utmanande för patienten, att han kanske inte kan eller vill vidta dessa. Bristande kunskap om sjukdomen och om dess egenvårdskrav kan göra honom dåligt emotionellt anpassad till denna, det vill säga han har inte accepterat att han har sjukdomen och han vill inte låta dess egenvårdskrav inkräkta på det sociala livet. Detta ger honom för-sämrade möjligheter att hantera sjukdomen på ett bra sätt.

An increasing proportion ofthe population is drawn to the metropolitan areas, which creates problems for the smallermunicipalities and towns when their population declines. At the same time, our whole societyis faced with a great challenge: we need to redirect towards a sustainable development, wherethe environmental issues are discussed and dealt with to secure that all present and futuregenerations are given equal opportunities to live a good life.The aim of this study is to, focusing mainly on the environmental dimension of thesustainability concept, examine the attractivity of housing with sustainability claims. Toanswer this, three research questions were used:? Was the migration motive to reduce their environmental impact a part of the decision tomove, among migrants who had moved to housing with sustainability claims?? If the motive was a part of the decision, how much impact did it have compared to othermigration motives?? Which factors in housing aiming at sustainability are considered important by peopleliving in housing with sustainability claims?The research questions have been answered using quantitative data, gained in the form of selfadministeredquestionnaires which were distributed in four different residential areas withsustainability claims in the county of Västra Götaland, Sweden.

SammanfattningSyftet med studien var att beskriva och belysa vilka faktorer som är av betydelse i sjuksköterskans omvårdnad och möte med patient med en annan kulturell bakgrund än sjuksköterskans egen kultur. Utifrån detta syfte var det främst följande frågor som lyftes fram: Vilka faktorer kunde ha betydelse i mötet mellan vårdpersonal och patient med annan kulturell bakgrund än vårdpersonalen egen kultur? Hur kan vårdpersonalen bemöta en patient med en annan kulturell bakgrund än vårdpersonalen egen kultur, för att denne skall känna sig respekterad och trygg?Metoden bestod i att aktivt söka efter vetenskapliga artiklar i databasen Academic Search Elite. 25 artiklar valdes ut.Resultatet visade att det är svårt att utforma en modell eller en riktlinje som kan beskriva hur mötet med patienter med annan kulturell bakgrund bör ske. Det finns olika faktorer som är beroende av varandras samverkan och utgör varandras förutsättningar.

Ortopediska kliniken i Malmö tog emot flest utlokaliserade patienter 2012 av samtliga kliniker på Skånes Universitetssjukhus. Detta innebär att patienten vårdas på en vårdenhet som inte är specialiserade på den aktuella diagnosen och vårdas av sjuksköterskor med kompetens av annan specialitet, vilket kan innebära potentiella patientsäkerhetsrisker. Upplever sjuksköterskan att hens yrkeskompetens förändras vid vård av dessa patienter och på vilket sätt? Upplever sjuksköterskan att det påverkar omvårdnaden av patienten och på vilket sätt? Innebär det någon patientsäkerhetsrisk att vårda utlokaliserad patient på sin ordinarie avdelning? Elva sjuksköterskor intervjuades med ett hermeneutiskt perspektiv på studien med Patricia Benners teori om kompetensnivåer som teoretiskt ramverk. De flesta deltagarna upplevde en skillnad i omvårdnaden vid vård av utlokaliserad patient.

The purpose of this study was to examine whether there were any differences in how first-line managers within   municipal care   rated their management leadership qualities, and structural empowerment before and after the course in "leadership, learning and improvement". The study had a quasi-experimental design and 64 managers participated. There was a significant improvement in the LaMI factor ?Achievement orientation?, after participation in the course "leadership, learning and improvement". In other factors, there was no significant difference before and after training.

Bakgrund: Mötet mellan sjuksköterska och patient har beskrivits som grundläggande isjuksköterskearbetet och är mer välstuderat i andra sjukvårdsmiljöer än hemsjukvården,som är basen för Sveriges sjukvård och engagerar ett stort antal behövande som vårdasav många anställda. Hemmet får allt större betydelse som vårdplats och antalet platserpå sjukhusen blir färre.Syftet var att beskriva sjuksköterskan i hemsjukvårdens upplevelse av mötet medpatienten och dennes närstående i deras eget hem (ordinärt boende).Metod: Studien gjordes som en allmän litteraturstudie där vetenskapliga artiklarsystematiskt söktes i olika databaser för att sedan analyseras. Sökningarna resulterade i11 artiklar.Resultatet: Presenteras i tre kategorier som beskriver sjuksköterskans upplevelser:Relationens betydelse i mötet med patient och närstående, förtroende, tillit och respekt imötet samt maktlöshet, frustration och en känsla att inte räcka till.Diskussion: Med kännedom om hur betydelsefull relationen till patienten upplevskänns det angeläget att som sjuksköterska i hemsjukvården arbeta personcentrerat ochatt hela tiden lyssna in patient och närstående och försöka anpassa sig till situationen.7Slutsats: Relationen mellan patient, närstående och sjuksköterska har stor betydelse föroch påverkar alla inblandade parter. Kunskap som är av betydelse för att möta de kravoch förväntningar hemsjukvården kommer ställas inför när allt fler och allt sjukarepersoner kommer behöva hjälp med allt mer avancerade insatser..

To meet the demand and quality requirements,the Swedish railway network will have to expand. The cheapest way is to expand little by little butwhat impact do these small steps actually have on the capacity?This thesis examines the interactions of different improvement for the capacity on a single-trackrailway. Through simulations in the software tool RailSys this report studies what effect block signals,extra meeting stations and rebuilding existing two track passing loops to three track loops have onthe capacity.

It's not a secret that most companies strive to get such a high economic return as possible. To successfully engage in a profitable enterprise, there are many elements that come into play. An important element is the motivation of the employees and their work performance. Work motivation is a key factor for the employees to improve their performance and therefore determinant for the successes of the company.This work is a case study in the production at Fresenius Kabi, Uppsala. The work is based on an employee survey that they fill out once a year and the aim is to develop a deeper understanding for these questions and how the employees see on leadership, communication and goal-setting as motivators and how these factors works in the company today.To get this deeper understanding I have used a qualitative approach.

The main purpose of this study was to examine the knowledge in biology by immigrant pupils. My investigation is based on the pupil and I have focused on positive and negative factors that affect their performance in biology.The study is based on marks in year 2006/2007, a survey and interviews made with four immigrant pupils at a compulsory school in Västra Götaland.The study indicates that the result in biology of immigrant pupils is lower compared to Swedish.Difficulties in language, the commitments by their parents and their surroundings are the main factors that affect their results negative..
