Abstract We are two teacher students with an ethnic background and we thought that it could be, exciting to work with subjects, like a multicultural environment in schools and the challenges within this environment for students, but also teachers. In this study, we focus on how the teachers work with bilingual students in a multicultural school. We wanted to get an understanding of the subject and to be able do so, we conducted some qualitative interviews. These interviews went through with teachers currently working at the same public school, teaching in classes from 1-5. Through this qualitative research, we were able to analyse, what the teachers attitude towards multilingualism is and what kind of methods they use organizing their teaching.

This study sought to explore the juvenile crime prevention in Sweden which for the purpose of this report is seen as efforts towards preventing youth criminality and all forms of anti social behaviour by young people.In the study, interviews with six social workers working directly or indirectly with young offenders were conducted. The interview results were analyzed and subjected to transnational comparison with the practice in Kenya. The report explores existing literature on situational crime prevention, restorative justice, the link between drugs and crime, attachment to parents, peers and involvement in convectional activities, gender differences in criminality, partnerships in crime prevention and the juvenile justice system. It uses control, strain, feminist and social disorganization theories to explain the causes of delinquency, analyzes the perceptions of social workers and discusses what works in juvenile crime prevention. The report identifies the causes of delinquency in Kenya and in Sweden as well as the prevention programs that social workers perceive as effective in addressing youth crime.

Studiens syfte var att försöka belysa två sätt att se på missbruk (biologisk och psykosocial) som dominerar i missbruksdebatten i dagens Sverige. Vår avsikt var att kartlägga vilket synsätt socialsekreterarna inom missbruksvården har och hur deras synsätt påverkar vilken behandling deras klienter får.Våra huvudfrågeställningar var - vilka synsätt har de utredande socialsekreterarna? Kan socialsekreterarnas olika synsätt på missbruk påverka val av behandlingsmetod för klienter? För att kunna få svar på våra frågeställningar tog vi hjälp av två underfrågeställningar. Dessa var - vilka kunskaper har socialsekreterarna om den senaste hjärnforskningen och om psykosociala förklaringsmodeller? Går det att kombinera dessa två olika synsätt?Metoden vi använde var kvalitativa halvstrukturerade intervjuer med fem socialarbetare.

Syftet med denna kvalitativa studie är att belysa hur brukare som har kontakt med socialtjänsten på grund av missbruksproblematik upplever och beskriver sitt inflytande över den egna behandlingen. Studien utgår från den hermeneutiska forskningstraditionen och har en kvalitativ ansats - sex semistrukturerade intervjuer har genomförts med brukare som har kontakt med socialtjänsten på grund av missbruksproblematik. Resultatet tolkades utifrån den nyinstitutionella teorin och visade att brukarna upplever att de har inflytande i sin kontakt med socialtjänsten, men på vilket sätt och i vilken omfattning varierar och påverkas till stor del av vilken socialsekreterare brukaren träffar. När vård enligt LVM ligger nära till hands upplever brukarna att kommunikation och information brister från socialsekreterarens sida. Samtliga brukare framhåller att kommunikation och delaktighet underlättar behandlingsarbetet och ökar den egna motivationen.

The aim of this study is to examine how social workers and pree-school teachers resonate about their experiences of cooperation with each other, in relation to maltreated children and the duty to report. Several studies show that there is a difference between how many children that is suspected of maltreatment and how many that are reported to social service. In Sweden, pre-school staff are obliged to notify the suspicion of child abuse according to 14: 1 SoL, but previous research indicates that the obligation to declare is not used to the extent that it should. One reason for the low notification rate is  the interaction between preschool and the social services shortcomings.Therefore, we believe it is relevant to examine how the cooperation really looks like between the organizations, when the child is being abused or at risk of suffering. The results of the study are based on qualitative semi-structured interviews with four preschool teachers and four administrators.

Att bli förälder är en stor händelse i livet. Graviditeten är en tid där både fysiskaoch psykiska förändringar påverkar livet för båda parter och också en tid attförbereda sig inför föräldraskapet. Syftet var att belysa vilka faktorer som harbetydelse för de svårigheter som fäder upplever i samband tidigt föräldraskap. Enprospektiv longitudinell studie genomfördes vid samtliga kvinnokliniker iVästernorrland. Deltagande var 827 partners till kvinnor som varit gravida och föttbarn under perioden juni 2007-juni 2008.

The aim of this investigation was to assess if there was a correlation between touch avoidance and hierarchical position, perceived degradation, number of years spent in jail and age amongst men at a correctional institution. In addition, a possible correlation between hierarchical position and the amount of perceived degrading treatment was also explored. In the collection of the data a questionnaire containing 27 open and closed answer alternatives was utilized. A multiple regressional analysis was conducted to find possible correlations between touch avoidance and the other underlying variables. Also an independent t-test explored the possible effects of the control variables: place of birth and girlfriend.

Problem: Antalet kvinnor som drabbas av bröstcancer ökar för varje år. Många av kvinnorna har familj och befinner sig mitt i livet. Familjen är oftast de som står kvinnan närmast och går därför också igenom en svår tid. Stort fokus läggs på patienten och ofta glöms familjen bort.                                                                                                         Syfte: Syftet med studien var att belysa upplevelser av att ha en familjemedlem med bröstcancer.                                                                                      Metod: Studien är en litteraturstudie där 16 vetenskapliga artiklar samlades in och granskades.                                                                                               Resultat och konklusion: Resultatet visar att familjen upplevde chock, rädsla, oro och ilska över cancerdiagnosen.

The purpose of this essay is to describe and analyze experiences of how the daily rounds and a persons role is changing when you go from being a family member to being a family member as well as being a kinship carer.Essential questions at issue was:- Which feelings are associated to the roll as kinship carer?- What are the motivations for the relative/family member to become a kinship carer?- What is the change of the role like before and after the disease.Six persons have been interviewed on the subject and symbolic interactionism and role theory has been our theoretical perspective. The essay has been related to the ideas of Meads on social interaction and to Goffmans theatre theorem.The result of the essay showed that feelings and motivations as regards to the daily rounds and the role of the kinship carer were individual, where similarities and differences occurred. When ones partner, parent or child got a disease/functional disability it generated in some changes regarding their daily rounds and it led to altering of roles. To assume a role was a natural result and often happened when a relative/family member got a disease or an injury..

Urininkontinens är ett av våra stora folkhälsoproblem. Kvinnor drabbas oftare än män, men efter 75-års ålder är det ungefär lika vanligt hos båda könen. Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur mäns upplevelser av att leva med urininkontinens belystes i litteraturen. Metoden var en litteraturstudie som baserades på tio vetenskapliga artiklar, både kvalitativa och kvantitativa. Under bearbetningen av artiklarna framträdde olika teman som slutligen resulterade i tre övergripande rubriker.

Att vänta och föda barn beskrivs som en av de viktiga övergångsperioderna i livet och innebär ofta en personlig utveckling för den födande kvinnan. Då graviditeten och förlossningen av någon anledning kompliceras, kan denna process störas, och kvinnan kan istället få både fysiska och psykiska men i efterförloppet. Syftet med denna studie var att belysa kvinnors upplevelser av en komplicerad förlossning. Metoden var en granskning i form av en innehållsanalys av sju artiklar som utgjordes av fyra kvalitativa och tre kvantitativa studier. De kvantitativa studierna bearbetades som en kartläggning och utgjorde komplement till resultatet av den kvalitativa innehållsanalysen av de kvalitativa studierna.
