Transsexualism innebär en upplevelse av att det juridiska könet inte stämmer överens med könsidentiteten och följs ofta av en önskan om att korrigera sitt kön så att det överensstämmer med det upplevda. Rösten är en identitetsmarkör och utgör en betydande aspekt av könskorrigeringen. Denna studie utgjordes av en enkät riktad till 24 verksamma röstlogopeder samt 49 personer i könskorrigeringsprocess i Uppsala-Örebro sjukvårdsregion. Enkätstudien ämnade undersöka transsexuella personers upplevda behov av logopediska insatser och i vad mån de tillgodoses, vilka kunskaper logopederna upplever som nödvändiga, faktorer som kan försvåra arbetet samt behandlingsinnehåll. Ett ytterligare syfte var att jämföra resultaten från föreliggande studie med de resultat som framkom i studien av Andersson och Aronsson (2008)  som kartlade logopediskt omhändertagande av transsexuella i norra regionen.

This study focuses on the integrity of students at Uppsala University that has used the university?s network, UpUnet. We?ve studied their opinions with the use of questionnaires that cover questions related to privacy and awareness about logging of data traffic.The results showed that more students than our hypothesis suggested were unaware of the surveillance on the network, and the majority of these also had a negative opinion towards logging of data traffic. However, we found that there were several relations between how the students responded on our questionnaire, and we?ve presented these in the analysis chapter towards the end of the essay..

The number of inhabitants of the towns and city centers have generelly increased, concurrent as the population in smaller towns has decreased. In Stockholm, the migration is very fast and here is also the most populous place, if one compares with other Sweden. In order to respond to the increasing population and the pressure they put on city spaces has Stockholm's town a town building strategy that says "build inwards". It means that one stem seals the town with spaces and business activities in central locations. The increased population in the towns and the densification of buildings leads however to an increased pressure on parks and public places.

Dystoki hos hund, dvs svår eller onormal förlossning där assistans krävs för att föda fram valparna, är ett vanligt problem som ofta kräver akut åtgärd i form av kejsarsnitt. Framför allt är det små och riktigt stora raserna som drabbas. Vid kejsarsnitt måste man vid anestesin ta hänsyn till de fysiologiska förändringar som tiken går igenom i samband med dräktighet samt till att det via placentan kan ske överföring av läkemedel till valparna. Det finns få jämförande studier av anestesimetoder hos hund vid kejsarsnitt. Vid operativa ingrepp är det allmänt vedertaget att ge smärtlindring pre- och postoperativt. Dock finns det begränsat med forskning om hur smärtstillande läkemedel påverkar valparna genom överföring via placenta och utsöndring i mjölken.

 AbstractA walk at Karlstad's cemetery and burial - grounds is like a strolling in an architectural park with trees, bushes and flowers. But these parks are different; they are filled with dead people, their memorial stones and their life stories. This world is full of socially, economically and culture differences from different times from 19th century till today's society. The cemetery - and burial - grounds in Karlstad can tell you about 19th century influences just by looking at the stones and where they are placed. Influences from the religion, the Christianity, which symbols for example is the cross, the birds and the sun that rises or falls, but also phrases that is directing to the bible.

When building large buildings, such as compartment buildings, there is a number of deliveries arriving on the construction site daily. In order to receive these deliveries without disturbing the rest of the work going on JM often books a fixed unloading time. When doing that they can be prepared when the delivery arrives. Making sure there is a suitable unloading area, someone to meet the delivery and when needed proper machines, such as a tractor or a crane, to help unload bigger deliveries. The person receiving the delivery is supposed to make an acceptance control where they check the delivered goods making sure nothing has been damaged in transport and that they have received what they were supposed to receive.

This essay deals with ruins from the perspective of their cultural values ??and the impact of add-ons, protective add-ons and caring actions affect these values. The issues in the essay are; What are the cultural values of a ruin?  How have ruins been used?  How are ruins treated today?Initially the definition of the concept ?ruin? is discussed, what is a ruin? A building has an architectural biography: the creation, destruction, change and the decay. The concept of ruin is considered to be a state of this decay, rather than a dead building.

Nathan Söderblom, Swedish archbishop 1914 - 1931, understands his role as bishop from an integrated theological conception that episcopacy is a gift to the church and the apostolic succession a heritage of utmost value. Episcopacy is an important tool to make the churches come together. in his work for peace during the Great War it was through his position without any power that he could approach the politicians. His calling was not only for Sweden; he had a responsibility for the whole world. In the Ecumenical Cope for the 1925 Stockholm meeting Söderblom expressed his views on the importance of the Uppsala see.

Vid förtätning kan det i bland uppstå konflikter mellan prioritering av bebyggelse och grönska i våra städer. Även om bostäder, butiker och företag har stor betydelse för samhällets funktion ska man inte glömma vikten av grönskan för människans trivsel. Att anlägga fickparker är ett sätt att ge plats för grönska i våra städer eftersom fickparken tar en mindre yta i anspråk. Ofta placeras den mellan olika hus och vägar och blir därför en del av människors vardagsmiljö. Fickparkerna fungerar som platser där stadens invånare kan återhämta sig, träffa andra eller låta sig inspireras av planteringarna. En svensk kommun som idag är insatt i anläggandet av fickparker och behovet av dessa är Enköpings kommun. Staden Enköping är en växande pendlarstad med ett stort antal parker i relation till antalet invånare. Majoriteten av stadens parker ligger i tätorten nära centrum.

I detta kandidatarbete undersöks förutsättningar och möjligheter till att gynna pollinatörer och andra djur i Stadsträdgården, Uppsala. Att värna om de ekosystemtjänster som biologisk mångfald medför ökar vår livskvalitet och ger staden ett hållbart klimat. En ekologisk utgångspunkt kan även medföra upplevelsemässiga och pedagogiska värden för parkens besökare samt en ökad förståelse för naturliga processer. Dock är Stadsträdgården Uppsalas finpark och ett välbesökt utflyktsmål för stadens invånare. Eftersom parkens säregna karaktär i detta avseende är viktig att bevara ligger uppsatsens fokus på att undersöka hur ett ökat främjande av arters livsmiljöer kan ske utan att påverka parkens karaktärer och sociala värden.

This report describes how a syringe pumpwas developed for Q-linea AB inUppsala Science Park as a bachelor´sthesis at Uppsala University. Thepurpose of the syringe pump is toreplace existing pumps in one of Qlineasdosage instruments. The reasons for whythe pumps are replaced are that they arebig and heavy. Therefore the task was todesign a smaller and lighter syringepump.The goal of the project was to create aprototype of the design that met themechanical requirements posed. Therequirements were met.In the report the work process can befollowed from the development of thespecifications to the final design andtests of the prototype.

An increased number of participants in the construction industry is asking for accompanying terrain models to the project in order to get a better understanding of the field. When the desire to create buildings that fit together nicely with the surrounding area is increasing, it becomes more and more important to have a broad base of knowledge about the ground on which the building is to be erected. Terrain models are also very useful in the planning of logistics, documentation for landscape architecture projects, and billings for mass calculations.Surveys for creating terrain models can be performed with laser scanning. The advantage of laser scanning is the time-effective surveying, the detailed information as well as the ability of application in complex environments resulting in a cost-efficient project. With this in mind our thesis was defined in collaboration with the company Bjerking AB in Uppsala in order to investigate if there were any softwares suitable for terrain modeling.

Discussing light and lighting in the night-time environment of Tensta, a Stockholm suburb built between 1962 and 1970, this thesis suggests that lighting should be designed for the outdoor environment as a whole. The feeling of safety and human perception are important components in this thesis. Starting with some comments on visual perception and how we adapt our sight to an interval of the visual input we get, makes it possible to understand that more light sometimes hides, rather than reveals, things. Amongst the dispersed houses, in the green parks of Tensta, this turns the pedestrian roads, lit by pole-top-mounted fixtures, into light tunnels in a dark surrounding. An art director has also been interwiewed to receive information about genderdesign from a practical wiew.Main results: There is no difference out of a gender perspective between the colors on the bottles in aspect of lightness but colors on ladieperfumes are generally more saturated and they are also more often located among yellow, orange and red shades on the color chart while perfumesbottles for men tend to consist of yellow, green and blue colors in more unsaturated versions. The results of the study of shapes showes that there are more cubes among the male perfumes than there are in the group of womensperfumes. Concidering the study of fonts does results prove that fonts on labels of male perfumes mostly belong to the most common group of fontfamilies. This compared toperfumes for ladies where the the fonts varied between the two current fontgroups of the study, and therefore are bort rare and common.
